I’ve been living in the Annapolis area for around seven years now and Prim is the only salon I’ve stuck with. I think the atmosphere is very pleasant, the staff is friendly. I see Tiffany to get my hair cut and colored and she is very accommodating and always does a good job. It can be pricey, but after taking a mini tour of the salons in the Annapolis area I honestly think it is well worth the money and if you have long hair (I do) taking good care of your hair is important. I also really like that none of the stylists pressure you to have your hair the length or color they prefer, which I had encountered at other salons in the past. I feel like I get a good service and they listen to what I want.

Saw Hillary for a super on-​trend wavy long bob. She cut my hair so that I could wear it straight, curly (my natural texture) or do it up with some waves. My hair is super thick and I often get the dreaded triangle hair, and she took my concerns and cut my hair to perfection. She also did a color consult with me, can’t wait to update this review when I get that done! I will say that this place is PRICEY. My cut was $ 90, but I feel it was worth it. Moving here from a small town in Washington state where my most expensive cut was $ 50, it was a little bit of a shock. However, she took her time, used some techniques I’d never seen, and made sure it was just right, even running into her next appointment a little bit. The customer service here is amazing, the salon is so cute and well styled, overall a great experience!

Love this place! So clean and my hair had never looked so good. The receptionist is literally the nicest girl ever!!! I didn’t want to leave bc talking to her was so fun! Overall TEN STARS!

Love Hillary! I like modern, low-​key wavy, California-​cool hairstyles. She was right on target. She talked me through the cut and possible balayage hair coloring. Plus I got the best tips from prolonging a day’s hairstyle without pushing products and the yummiest restaurants in town. She’s a must and I do not need to search any further. Take it from someone who sticks to a stylist the moment she or he gets it right.

Update: Booked a trim. Told my stylist I just needed a trim when I sat in her chair. She had done my hair last time; it was nothing new! They still charged for a full hair cut. $ 90. I was hoping for maybe… $ 50? (Still really high, I know). She did a great job again but the fact you can only come for a full hair cut and they didn’t disclose that at any point is disappointing. Just a heads up!

This salon is charmingly compact and conveniently located near Whole Foods. Had my hair cut with Marta to whom I brought a photo to but to whom I ultimately relied for her expertise. The first cut was something I could not live with and to her credit she was willing to schedule a «redo». The second styling was similarly disappointing but I was too upset to pursue this further. After being charges 50% more than the website mentioned, I elected, as a first time customer to have remedial and continued care elsewhere.

Low key, informed, knowledgeable and they just get it. Danielle gives an amazing cut and for someone who has not been truly pleased since moving back to the east coast, I have finally found my hair haven every 6 – 8. They understand color, cut to shape and flatter your face and just make your experience stress free… what every girl (or guy haha!) wants. right??? Andrea the owner has hand picked a collaborative group of talented professionals and is leading them to make Annapolis and surrounding areas beautiful with their trendy and turnkey skills. When Andrea left another local salon, I didn’t hesitate to switch. Leigh Ann is great for color. Can’t go wrong with Andrea or Marta either. Andrea or Danielle are great for cutting hair. The customer service is great, would HiGHLY HiGHLY HIGHLY recommend to anyone!

I get my hair cut, highlighted and colored by Amy Lynch at Prim. Absolutely love her work and her style. For many years I went to the «Best of DC» salons like Andre Chreky, IPSA and George at Four Seasons. I’m used to creative, talented artists that know how to cut unruly hair. Luckily I found Amy in Annapolis at Prim and no longer have to travel to DC for a talented artist. If you are looking for a fresh new look, your search is over. Amy is your girl!

I have been twice for highlights and was very happy with the color, but this last time I had to reschedule my appointment. When I was rescheduled they forgot to leave time for a blow dry. At the end of my appointment I was told no one had time to blow dry me and I had to go home with wet hair. I didn’t feel that was a professional response and I think a more established salon would have handled it differently. Maybe they’re still working out the kinks, but when I set aside time in my schedule for an appointment I expect better customer service. Instead I had to go home and finish my hair myself.

Terrific in every way. Leanne is a color genius. Patricia really the best. Atmosphere super pleasant and without pretension and silliness.
