Staffed by teens that are usually pleasant, but usually dis-interested and occasionally downright rude. News flash to management, there are a LOT of different flavors and fruits out there — mix a few different ones in during the course of a Spring/Summer, it might be good for business. As it is I will take the drive out to Rockville(which I despise) but they have a water ice outfit with usually 10 — 20 different flavors which makes it worthwhile. Take a lesson. Please.

I called the Bay Ridge location around 6:30 pm to see if they had a particular flavor(as the website states); the attendant working stated, «yes.» After traveling 30+ miles, I arrive around 7:15 and I didn’t see the flavor listed so I asked. The attendant went to ask another attendant and they both came back and said, «oh, we ran out?» — Ran out? I find it hard to believe that an entire flavor is consumed by 7pm! Staff were either unaware that the flavor wasn’t available that day and made a mistake in telling me yes or the manager responsible for placing the orders is not ordering enough. If you want to know a flavor, I don’t suggest calling as you can with any other Rita’s in the area. You’re in for a big disappointment!

Both the service and the product were precisely«meh» — just as Unilocal describes a two star experience. You can get better ice cream in the freezer aisle at the grocery store. Not sure why people bother with this… especially in a town with Storm Brothers, Annapolis Ice Cream Company, The Daily Scoop, The Froyo House, etc. All of those run circles around Rita’s.

It’s nice to have a Rita’s so close to the Bay Ridge area. The actual quality is really not much better than that of the desserts from McDonald’s next door, and more expensive; however, I believe what make’s it(all Rita’s) so good is the variety and the convenience of a walk-up window. Not crazy about the attitude of some of the workers, who act/appear to be hired from a high school lacrosse roster, but the desserts are decent and we always look forward to their opening every spring.

Rita’s is very close to my home and I have never stopped by. I usually don’t eat ice cream but my friend told me about their custard on the menu. It was delicious! The store is close to the Quiet Waters park and near Bay Ridge. The parking lot is huge and there were multiple windows open with eager staff to take our order. The staff was friendly, polite and well kept. After eating there once now I understand why the place looks crowded often.

I love Rita’s and this place made a delicious mix for me. I was actually surprised by the small amount of flavors that this place provided for the customers. I do not know whether it was an off day or this place is just different than the one by me in Pittsburgh, but there were not as many flavors. Also, the location is not prime for walking traffic, which is what I love about Annapolis: the walkability. However, this place did make a very good Blendini.

I can’t believe this location has not yet been reviewed?! I love this hide-away Ritas! It’s a walk up location like most others that I have seen. It shares a parking lot/strip mall with a dry cleaners and a few restaurants, and it’s next to newly relocated Fawcets boat stuff store. I personally can’t have anything but the vanilla custard when I go to Ritas because it’s that darn tasty! There is a bench outside Ritas but I wish there was a little more coverage and seating to sit out and enjoy the delicacies they dish out. This location is only open during the summer unfortunately but they are open into the evening.
