You can smell this place down the street! Delicious offerings here with something for everybody. The candied apples are granny smith and I loved the sea salt caramel. Almost always the candied apples are red apples and i truly enjoyed finding a green apple for a change. Employees were helpful and funny, great atmosphere. Will likely to return.

I stopped in to Kilwins as I was walking with my family Downtown Annapolis. I was sucked in by the aroma of fresh homemade fudge and ice cream that I smelled walking down the street towards Kilwins. I couldn’t help but stop in and see what the hype was about as I seen a massive crowd coming in and out. It was a great decision. The ice cream was so good, as soon as I took a bite I was in paradise. Friendly’s and Baskin Robbins ice cream has nothing on Kilwins. I got the Eggnog flavored ice cream and although it may not sound too tasty it was so good. Kilwins is a little bit more pricey than your average go-to ice cream spot but as I mentioned before it was well worth it for the quality they provide you with. Anytime, I’m in the area I always make sure to stop in to Kilwins, my new go to ice cream place.

Great treats, great service, great location. You know when there is a line wrapped around the whole inside area and out the door that it is worth waiting for. We’ve never had bad service, always very friendly and efficient, even when super busy!

Stopped in when wandering on Saturday and my husband came home with 3 slabs of fudge. He’s in heaven. A bit cool for me to stroll with a cone but that didn’t deter the masses from sample Kilwin’s delectable ice cream. Everything is made from scratch and with quality products. Have a craving for a caramel apple? Another one of their specialties! Lots of young adults working their and seem to be having fun which makes any shopping experience just better.

Goo choice for fudge and ice cream. Apparently they got rid of the cake batter ice cream, which was one of the reasons I came here. Overall, the waffle cones are tasty… the ice cream is yummy… and the fudge is good.

This place is great! Service is prompt and efficient, even with long lines. The ice cream is amazing. With a wide variety of flavors. Anywhere I go, my usual go to is cookies and cream with cookie dough. But this place has salted caramel and fudge brownie. The combo is too good to pass up. It’s amazing. One of these days I will bypass the ice cream and have a slap of fudge. The fudge looks great. But that day was not today. Not sure when that day will present itself. Stay tuned my friends.

So my reviews are always based on! How I am greet, first and foremost, the customer experience and the product that I am in the store for! I walked pass this place and was sucked in by the amount of people coming and going out of there! I just had to see what the buzz was about! I didn’t plan on eating ice cream but I was beckon lol anyhow, as soon as I go in I follow the marked line for ICECREAM, because they have all kinds of homemade confections ! I was so overwhelmed with the ice cream heaven just sitting right in front of me, there was so many flavors to choose from!!! Turtle cheesecake, coffee chocolate all the classics! Crazy concoctions for the kids! The staffer who helped me oh gosh I don’t recall his name but he was courteous and super helpful! I could not make my mind up! He started me with all kinds of delicious samples of ice cream heaven! With the first taste I could tell that this was not any repackage from edys or Hershey ice cream! This was the real deal stores very own ice cream! It was so rich and creamy not mushy but soft and oh so good! I had about ten samples of all kinds of deliciousness before I settled on the Kilwins turtle, coffee chip and vanilla bean! In a waffle bowl! Yes! A wAffle bowl that had a plastic bowl so that I can take my time a devour my ice cream!

This place has ruined any other ice cream place for the rest of my life. It is seriously the most amazing ice cream I have EVER had! They make everything by hand and from scratch you can even watch them make the fudge. My sister loves this place so much they send her caramel apples(all the way to Phoenix, AZ). We go every time we’re in Annapolis.

WHAT A LINE! But it moves quickly and you’re not rushed to not try flavors. The scoops are huge portions and they have lots of gifts and chocolates. About $ 5 a scoop.

On a recent, impromptu visit to Annapolis, I decided to get some ice cream before strolling to the state building. I arrived in the afternoon; the line wasn’t too bad. I waited a whole three minutes or so and this allowed me to peruse the ice cream offerings. When I had settled on one, I decided to get a milkshake. No sizes or prices were posted, but I gathered that in a tourist shop like this, it would be about $ 5. The young woman made the milkshake and and gave it to me and then announced the price– $ 8.00 for a milkshake! Granted it’s not the McDonald’s goop from a machine, but I found it a bit pricey. Oh well. The samples of ice cream I tried before settling on a flavor were very good and although I wasn’t too impressed with the flavors themselves(many ‘salted’ whatevers) it was worth a visit, but not a return. There is street parking only– but don’t count on getting a spot in this area of town!

My husband and I were walking down the street and smelled the deliciousness from more than a block away! The staff were so friendly, and shared samples of anything we were interested in. Great selection of dipped ice cream flavors and many other sweets — fudge, chocolate dipped goodies, caramels. We purchased fudge for ourselves, and some to take home! Would highly recommend this sweet spot!

Bad bad customer service. We waited twenty minutes and the girls behind the counter let her friend cut in front of us. Then it happened a second time. Crummy place. Really upset my daughter.

Always smells amazing! Great variety of products and delicious flavors. I make sure I go during non-peak hours so I’ve never had to deal with the wait people complain about. However their prices are really high compared to other places.

Decent ice cream, but nothing special. I honestly didn’t understand the line out of the door! The chocolates in the store were extremely overpriced. There were a variety of sweets, which was nice, but I honestly just wasn’t too impressed by what I had.

I came here to grab some caramel apples for my husband. The store is very nice and full of yummy delicious things. The lady there offered me some fudge samples which taste pretty good but I didn’t really need a huge hunk of fudge. The apples were a bit pricey but the good reviews made me get at least two(caramel apple and the salted chocolate, caramel apples). I did wish that they labeled the apples with prices, but I guess they want you to ask them. I also got a chocolate covered rice crispy treat and some salted caramel chocolates. Overall a splurge but when I brought them home my husband and I really enjoyed them. I especially loved the apples.

Friendly staff + great ice cream selection = satisfied customer My boyfriend and I visited Kilwins on a whim. Mind you, it was snowing, and we were driving on Main Street, and one of the few shops still open at that time of night was Kilwins. Ice cream in a snow storm?! Why not. They didn’t have any lactose-free options so I didn’t order anything, but my boyfriend ordered the praline ice cream with his choice of toppings, and he had no complaints. I was impressed by their assortment of fudge and other chocolates as well. I’d also like to note, Kilwins was about to close when we sauntered in. Instead of rushing us, the staff were beyond helpful and even let us taste different flavors before we purchased.

I just love their caramel apples! This is your standard Americana confections shop where you can watch the workers making fudge, dipping apples, sprinkling sprinkles on truffles, and scooping ice cream. Everything we got was perfect… with the exception of the ice cream, which is why I am deducting a star. Really I would give 4.5 stars, but I don’t like to round up on Unilocal. The ice cream was overly sweet for me. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but not great. On the other hand… the caramel apples were perfection and the truffles were amazing! They even slice up the apples for you for easy eating. How nice! And the fudge — Out Of This World! If you have the candy kind of sweet tooth, this is the place to go in Annapolis. If you want ice cream, go down near the pier to Storm Brothers Ice Cream. I wouldn’t pass this place up though… it’s definitely worth visiting at least once!

The strawberry cheesecake ice cream was limited edition here. It’s amazingly yummy. If I could have it everyday, I certainly would. :p My friend had an orangeade. It was made of freshly squeezed oranges and was very refreshing for an otherwise sunny day. If you’re in Annapolis, and want some yummy ice cream or desserts, head to the downtown, stand in the line and let your tummy smile: D
