Cookies would earn 5 stars easily. Many have commented that the cookies are tasteless but I prefer them less sweet than the usual. Mine have always been chocked full of nuts, chocolate, or whatever else they’re to be filled with, and oh so soft and gooey. The rest of the store though is cluttered with junky tourist merchandise, less than helpful staff, and on my last visit, reeked of burnt chocolate.

Great service, not so great treats. The peanut butter cookies hardly tasted like peanut butter. Greasy… Not sweet at all. The chocolate dip tasted like wax. Would NOT recommend. Such a bummer too because they looked like thick, bakery style cookies. The candy was a bit stale. However, the caramel apple was good. Nothing above average, but crisp.

The cookies were not good. They were disappointing because 1. they were tastless… greasy, need more vanilla and/or brown sugar 2. the choc chip pecan(2) had literally two specks of pecans in each. The woman working was very rude and curt to an elderly companion who was asking questions about the fudge and other products. I’m told the fudge she bought was not so great either. Don’t know what the positive reviews are all about here!!!

Rudest manager ever at Uncle Bob’s fudge kitchen. Took back a caramel apple that was decayed in middle upon the first bite. Red haired manager I had never seen before insisted she had cut my apple & that it wasn’t decayed when she sold it to me. I told her she was mistaken, a different girl had helped me. Kept arguing w/me, laughed & smirked when I asked to speak w/manager bc SHE was manager(!). Desperately in need of customer service training. BEWAREOFDECAYEDCANDYAPPLES! You’ll only be harassed if you try to return one. Better not to buy in the first place!

Oh yeah. One of each would do. Unfortunately can’t realistically do that so I choose the classic chocolate fudge. It was chocolate pure heaven.

How I heard of this place: We walked by, I saw a chocolate chip cookie house in the window. Of course I entered! Type of cuisine: Fudge, cookies, caramel apples and chocolate galore! The mission of Uncle Bob’s: «To make the world a sweeter place.» Ambiance: Situated in the storefront of a locally owned general store, selling trinkets(magnets, stickers, snow globes, and such) and touristy souvenirs, this fudge shop truly draws in the customers. Bright yellow signs, red font and the smell of freshly made fudge — not to mention the daily samples — indulge all of the senses. A young boy behind the counter greets customers, offers samples and invites patrons to peruse the glass displays of chocolate-covered-everything, while two employees chat behind the counter in the antique-colored mercantile area. What I ordered: One Chocolate Chip Cookie($ 1.91 including tax) and one White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie($ 1.91 including tax), both at the recommendation of the young man in white. What I loved: It’s definitely a draw between the two, thick, soft cookies. I fell in love with the white chocolate macadamia, until I tried the chocolate chip… and Chris could not get enough of the first. Why I loved it: Yummy, wholesome, homemade goodies with a cup of hot tea, shared with my husband on the leather sofas in our B&B, on this cold, winter evening. Perfection. Cost: Low to average($ 1.50 — $ 5 per cookie/slice of fudge)

Military discount! After you’ve passed your military weigh in, come to Bob’s and put all the weight back on with their ridiculously good chocolate snacks.

Best fudge ever. No doubt. We made a pit stop here after grabbing lunch in Annapolis on a friend’s recommendation, and it was pretty much the best decision ever. Uncle Bob’s Fudge Kitchen is actually located inside a larger souvenir shop, but they obviously are the big draw for this place. They have sweets galore, including thick honkin’ slices of their homemade fudge. I asked for a sample of the regular chocolate fudge — one taste and I was sold. Now, these are really big, really thick, really rich slabs of fudge, and it was like $ 10 for one piece. Which, I know, seems super expensive. BUT because it’s so sweet and rich, I’ve only been nibbling at it in little pieces, so I ain’t lyin’ when I say this’ll last for a while. They also have a «Buy 3, Get 2 Free» deal when it comes to the fudge, which clearly makes it all a much better deal, but you guys know I do NOT need five pieces of fudge staring up at me from my kitchen counter. So I resisted. Sadly. The fudge lasts two weeks at room temp and 6 months+ in the freezer, so you really can take your sweet time with it. I also got a snickerdoodle cookie(couldn’t resist) and it was perfect. Soft, chewy, delicious. Excuse me now, I have to go eat some more fudge.

I actually appreciated the touristy section… they had a great sign that read«Happy Wife Happy Life,» and CLEARLY that is the motto for life! The guy behind the counter who helped us with the chocolate(I asked him his name because I wanted to include it in this review, but totally forgot because we went to O’briens afterward to drink for a friend’s birthday) was so helpful and nice! I specifically had a taste for white chocolate(I know, I know… it’s not REAL chocolate) and he showed me all of the items that included white chocolate. I settled on white chocolate covered almonds and it was so delicious!

Place is over loaded with touristy crap. From keychains to personalized jewelry and miniature flasks. Upstairs loaded with way overpriced clothing. Retailing a zip up hoodie for $ 65.99, when it sells down the street for $ 39.99. Owner is unbelievably rude and loves to argue. Fudge is mediocre at best. How this tourist trap stays open is beyond me.

I felt like I wasted my money:(I wanted to bring some awesome Annapolis fudge to a dinner party because I thought it would be thoughtful and special. I spent $ 32 on fudge and was stoked about it! I should have tried the fudge first because when I arrived at my dinner party right after my purchase the fudge was literally hard as a rock. I was so embarrassed. I called and talked to the manager today and she said that their fudge was supposed to be hard on the outside and creamy on the inside and this was not the case for me. It was slightly creamier on the inside, but not by much at all. She then said maybe its because the weather was cold and the fudge sits by the door. She got my address and is going to send me a card to get some fudge later which was really nice, but it doesn’t take away from the embarrassment I felt at last nights dinner party and it won’t convince me yet that Uncle Bob’s has consistently good fudge. Would love to try again, but just want it to be consistent.

I’m not a fudge person. This place hasn’t converted me either. However, it seems that when I bring new friends or relatives to Annapolis, they see this place, have no will power and buy their products. Oh well. They do have some tacky tourist gift items as well.

Cookies! Mail order! I sent cookies as a business thank you gift to a local Maryland business. I saw my contact today and he told me these were the best cookies he had ever eaten. He was very touched we sent him a gift from a local business. When I placed my order I chose to order by phone and that really helped with the personal service I received. We had to talk about several options to get me to the $ 50 price point I was seeking. The business’ manager called me back later in the day to clarify and confirm. I recommend ordering from Uncle Bob’s Fudge Kitchen by phone. Check fudgelover dot com, their fun website with pictures of their cookies and fudge.

Their cookies(Chocolate Chip, CC& Pecan) are sooo delicious. Big, soft, and gooey chocolate! Get some! *Sells by the pound. I didn’t walk around the store because the cookies had all my attention, but it looked like they had candy and touristy gifts.

Smells like heaven and looks like a tourist trap, but go on in anyways and bypass the fudge. You’re here for the chocolate chip cookies. What? Yes, cookies. And, don’t buy one, buy at least two. Trust me, because if you don’t you’ll have to do the embarrassing buy one cookie, get to the door, and turn around and buy another cookie. These cookies will cheer you up, give you a hug, cure cancer, make you prettier, and create world peace. They’re that good.

I was not really a big fan of this place. The ambiance is cool, because Uncle Bob’s is connected to a General Store in which they have everything, but the food itself was not great. It was probably what I ordered, but I was not very impressed. The fudge smells good and I probably tastes great, but I bought caramel apples and cookies. The apples were some what small and the caramel was hard. I was expecting the caramel to be somewhat softer and chewy, not hard. I was pretty disappointed, because I am a huge fan of caramel apples with nuts. The chocolate chip cookies dipped in chocolate were alright, and better then the apples.

Despite the store name, I’ve only ever sampled the fudge here, not purchased. It’s just not my thing. However, we get their cookies every single time we’re even in the vicinity of Annapolis. They are enormous, and quite soft without being doughy. The rest of the shop is totally kitsch, which makes for some fun browsing. Favorite cookies are chocolate chip pecan and snickerdoodle, but they’re all good.

It’s like someone picked this shop up out of Mackinac Island and dropped it into the waterfront in Annapolis. I almost expect to see boxes of salt water taffy in the windows and people whizzing by on rented bikes outside. Tucked inside the entrance to A.L. Goodies General Store just two storefronts down from Buddy’s Crabs, an old coworker of mine from years ago originally recommended that I stop in to snag a cookie at this confectionary. Being the chocolate chip cookie lover that I am, how I could possibly resist? I can’t speak to the fudge, but the cookies by-the-pound* are enormous, dedacent, and delicious. Offerings range from your traditional chocolate chip(which I’m particularly fond of) to white chocolate macadamia nut to ridiculously awesome chocolate dipped chocolate chip. If you catch them at the right time, I think you can also watch them make the fudge, pouring out the molten buttery chocolate onto the cooling slab and turning it over until it hardens. An absolute must-stop when in ‘Naptown for me! * I’ve never asked what their pricing is, and I couldn’t find signage for it, but I picked up four cookies here for roughly $ 6. Not as cheap as a POCCC, but completely reasonably priced, to my mind.
