Love this place. Ice cream was delicious and creamy… clearly well made. I got Peanut Butter and the Caramel Cookies and Cream. Both flavors were so good. It was tough deciding between so many flavors, but that’s a good problem to have.

Best place to get ice cream in Annapolis.

My favorite ice cream shop in Annapolis. I have been going here since I was a kid. It is an old school ice cream place that is cash only. The German Chocolate Cake milk shake is the best. The ice cream selection is good and the staff is as always local kids, which I love. Many reviewers have speculated about the ice cream — it is Jack & Jill ice cream — not made at the shop and not Turkey Hill.

Storm Brothers? Shall I stop in while I’m in town? A silly question. The question should be how many times can I stop in? The answer for me on a recent visit was each day we were in town. This small, ice cream only, shop is magnificent — the staff is friendly and efficient and the lines move smoothly at all times. And the choices of flavors are outstanding. Almost 50 flavors of ice cream and sherbet. Muddy Sneakers is a favorite of my daughter. I, however, am generally locked into the top four on the menu — Banana, Black Walnut, Black Raspberry and Burgundy Cherry; although I do, on occasion, venture further down to the Butter Pecan and Cherry Vanilla. The great thing about ice cream cones is that you can get single, double and triple scoops — perfect for mixing and matching flavors for the indecisive among us. This shop, alone, is worth the trip to Annapolis! Visited June 2015

I was raised in Annapolis and am never quite sure why other ice cream shops feel like they need to take up space. Want a local, authentic Annapolis experience? Take it from a local — Storm Brothers is where to go. 1. Storm Brothers is family-owned. Check out the website to fact-check me, but Sveinn and Thomas Storm were behind all of this(now Sveinn runs the show). Word on the street is that Sveinn is an excellent person to work for, is extremely fair, and keeps his word. He regularly hires students and helps many with their educations. 2. Storm Brothers offers 46 flavors and the more seasoned employees can tell you about each of them. By the way, you can sample them before giving Superman ice cream to your child– try not to come back with a picky kid who doesn’t like chocolate and hold up the line. 3. Storm Brothers doesn’t make the ice cream on site, but the ice cream is made *for* Storm Brothers. I’ve seem a few reviews in which people squawked about it being Turkey Hill, one suggesting that«Hagen Daz»(try Häagen-Dasz) would be better. Häagen-Dasz wouldn’t make ice cream for a family-owned ice cream shop. Please. Turkey Hill is based in Lancaster County, PA, and can totally be bothered to make ice cream for a family business. Several flavors can only be found *at* Storm Brothers(try«Muddy Sneakers» if you’re curious). 4. Storm Brothers thinks hard about how to bring high-quality ice cream to customers at the best prices in town. No credit cards, but you also won’t find prices as low anywhere else. 5. When other shops are closed and leave you SOL with a December evening ice-cream craving, Storm Brothers has your back. Check the website for hours, but I feel like they’re always open. Some of my best memories were going in at 9:45PM during winter to eat ice cream overlooking a nearly-frozen harbor. 6. They have ice bags and cheap water bottles for summer. In 2011, ice was $ 2.50 and water was $ 1. Can’t beat it. So, if you want the experience of eating at a Main Street ice cream shop, you’re going to pay extra for that. If you want to eat ice cream where the locals have eaten for decades, save money, and support a true family business, the line at Storm Brothers is the next leg of your stay in Annapolis.

This place is an inspirational success story! Just go to the website and learn it for yourself. 1. Not a franchise. This is the one(and only). 2. Operated by the same brothers — since 1976. 3. Unheard-of«honest pricing» in an unmistakably popular tourist destination. This place is just selling awesome ice cream at the prices you’d expect in rural Iowa. 46 flavors of goodness. The line moves fast because of smart staffing. Treat yourself to a double scoop of pistachio on a waffle cone. I did.

Walked in here for ice cream today and walked right out… one worker behind the counter was eating his lunch over the ice cream, finished eating and went straight to serving someone an ice cream cone without washing his hands. No thanks. Go down the street a bit to Kilwins… it’s clean and sanitary and the people in there are so friendly!

I’m usually a cake batter or cookies and cream ice cream lover. I tasted the cake batter and the cake batter tasted exactly like cake batter, hence the name. I then tasted the cookies and cream and knew that flavor was for me. The cookies and cream was delicious and wasn’t too creamy. I was surprisingly shocked to see the affordable prices. I couldn’t believe the 1 scoop of ice cream was $ 2.90. Especially because Kilwins(another ice cream joint) is right down the street, and the 1 scoop of ice cream would of been twice the price. The only downside is that they only accept cash. However, they do have an ATM machine right near the cash register. But be aware, there is an additional $ 3 fee plus the fee of your debit/credit card.

Cute little ice cream shop. You have to have cash because they don’t take credit/debit.

I guess I was a bit too harsh on my first review ranting about not taking credit or debit cards. I understand the costs are high in Annapolis for small business owners. The ice cream is phenomenal and just tastes better than anywhere else and the service is prompt and polite. The place is clean too. My friends love it and so do I.

Moose tracks, strawberry cheesecake, smores, rocky road, and red velvet — best flavors, hands down! There is always a plethora of selections… at least 20, for the palate that can’t get enough. Starting at $ 2.70 for a single scoop, can’t beat that either. Stop in for a scoop in a waffle cone; you won’t regret it!

Ok so everyone knows Annapolis ice cream up the block is the best in town but this is REALLY good ice cream. This is also your best option for a cheaper and not enormous amount of ice cream. Mocha Mint is amazing and I have not seen it at Annapolis ice cream yet!

This is a gem in Annapolis. Its located next to the harbor. They have ahuge collection of ice-cream.I just loved their Rum Raisin icecream float. The only issue is that they ONLY accept cash. We were lucky to have cash at that time. If you dont have cash then also no worries. there is a ATM inside the store.

A solid choice for good ice cream on Dock Street. They do NOT accept credit cards, which is borderline inconvenient for some, but the lower prices reflect it. BTW, their business is not suffering from it – if anything, it’s better from the all-cash policy. The ice cream is that all-american flavor and texture. It’s low butterfat from what I tasted, but it was still thick and satisfying. That’s really the classic kind as opposed to Cold Stone Creamery’s high butterfat. And we noticed that their scoop forms are the real deal in quantity, as opposed to how some creameries trick you into scooping a «bubble» scoop that is full of air… so kudos to Storm Bro’s for being honest. I ordered a cup of Chocolate Chip Mint and Rocky Road, since I’m a chocolate fan. Both were good together, and were refreshing after a Summer day. The Rocky Road had generous hazelnut pieces, and the Choc Chip Mint had generous dark chocolate pieces. I appreciate those little details! There was a blonde short-haired lady(who I believe was the owner) who helped us out, by both scooping our flavors and ringing us up. Ironically, she was really the nicest person we interacted with on Dock St. that day, even though it was a busy Friday evening.

I got a rocky road single scoop in a cake cone for only $ 3, which was a really large scoop. The line was very long and it’s cash only, but it’s a storied establishment that’s been around 1976. Also, there are SO many flavors that the long line let me have time to decide what I wanted.

Great selection of flavors(46) and speedy service. They accomplish this by having plenty of staff and only accepting cash! That’s right cash only, so please don’t hold up the line by not being ready for this. There is an ATM in the front of the store. Their ice cream is pretty good; not as sweet as Baskin’ Robbins, but defiantly a higher cream content. A selection of flavors to please every palate, and yes even the little ones — however only get them one scoop or you will be eating the leftover, melted mush!

The ice cream was so good I went twice in two days! Do I need to say more? Yes, because here’s the kicker: chocolate-dipped soft serve. I see it so rarely, I couldn’t resist. It’s a mess but absolutely delicious. Their hard ice cream flavors are also delicious — definitely sample one and get an unusual flavor. The line will look intimidating, but it moves very quickly. Be aware, it is cash only.

Super friendly service! I have not yet tried the Annapolis Ice cream place, hence cant compare, but the ice cream here was pretty yum! I had the muddy sneakers with the strawberry cheesecake, and let me tell you it was a pretty rad combination! I loved it! Also tried the Moose track(sugar free) and that was pretty darned good too. Cant say I liked the Pistachio tho — tasted too bland and watered down to me. My only gripe, unlike a lot other ice cream parlors, this place had no seating. Given it was hot enough to melt myself outside today, I really would have liked having my ice cream indoors than outdoors! Word of Advice — They are cash only! Once I try Annapolis Ice cream, I will come back and re-review this place! :)
