It’s a standard starbucks. Service was fine. Wasn’t crowded at 8:30 pm on a Friday night… guess most visitors were drinking beer on this chilly fall evening!

I just walked in for a water… simple and the barista by the bar, short dark haired women, was very rude and unpleasant. The barista at the register was very nice.

This Starbucks was pretty good. When I walked in there was little to no noise were you could concentrate and study. The service was amazing because the women at the register barely took 15 seconds to take my order. I only had to wait about 2 – 3 minutes for my caramel frap although there was very little caramel sauce on it. Listening to a super rude«manager» gripe at a couple of kids about bringing their puppy in. If you know Annapolis you know that dogs are welcome almost EVERYWHERE, including restaurants, so it’s not like this is totally unusual. All she had to say was that it couldn’t be there. The kids were very polite, too but she then kept on griping about it after they walked outside so that we could hear her, then fed herself a bagel while her staff ran around trying to keep up with everyone. I’ve not seen manager act this unconcerned about their staff in a place this busy & I’m pretty surprised that someone in a widely known place would be so vocally rude. I will make sure to take my business to another of the many coffee shops in town from now on. Barista was sweet, though.

I try to not review big chains like Starbucks, but since I did check in here I guess I’ll make an exception. I normally don’t bother with Starbucks when in downtown Annapolis, opting instead for City Dock, but was meeting someone here and when I got here the line actually wasn’t too long, so here we are. The first thing I noticed was that it was VERY cramped in here. To get to the counter, you pretty much have to force your way past everyone else in line… it’s really pretty confusing. The second thing I noticed was how HOT it was in here. Granted, this was in January and I’m sure the heat was turned on, but it was unseasonably warm that day and it was like a sauna inside. The third thing I noticed was how inattentive the baristas were. When I got there, there really wasn’t a line, just a couple of women in front of me. Within 2 minutes, however, there was a line at least 10 deep, and they showed no sense of urgency in getting it moving. In fact, it almost appeared as if they were deliberately going slower in order to make the line back up. The woman ahead of me was very chatty, and they took their time talking with her(I got the impression they knew her), completely ignoring that there were several other people waiting. I’ve been to worse Starbucks locations, but considering that City Dock is just a few steps away, I doubt I’ll be back to this one.

Great location for access from downtown Annapolis. This store is typically clean but is rather small and oddly shaped because its wedged into an old historic storefront near the waterfront. When a like forms it becomes difficult to navigate through and quite crowded. There is minimal seating but the spot is great for grabbing a drink and heading to the benches outside around the harbor.
