Great Sunglass store. We bought another pair of Maui Jim sunglasses from Shades of the Bay. Everything about this store is FABULOUS. Love it and thank you for my Shades.

There’s a saying that adversity does not build character but rather reveals it. I ordered a pair of Maui Jim’s at the spring boat show from the owner of Shades of the Bay. After 10 days the sun glasses did not arrive and I made up my mind to cancel the order. The owner of the company admitted right away she screwed up the order, apologized and asked if I still wanted them. I admired her honesty, went through with he purchase, they came in 3 days later and I am happy customer.

What a great store. I was very impressed by the level of service and knowledge of the folks working in this store. Left with a great pair of Mai Jims and a pair of sanuks shoes. Two thumbs up guys, you really know what you are doing!

The guy here is really good at sales. He picked out the perfect sunglasses for me as soon as I gave him a general description of what I was looking for… polarized, light, a frame that fits my small nose bridge and stylish. He recommended the Maui Jims baby aviators and even though I tried on every single other quality frame in the store, I went back to those every single time. He was very helpful, friendly and gave great advice. I already have a pair of Maui Jims for running and love them– they have the best warranty and customer service should I need it. Their cash register wasn’t cooperating to give me a military discount so we went to the cheaper sunglass store across the street(also affiliated with them!). They got me taken care of and I was on my way. Not sure about the lady who was training with him that day… but I’ll give her time and give her a chance to get her footing.

AVOID. Here’s a free sales tip: don’t insult your customers. Customer service = sales. My wife and I were shopping for a pair of polarized aviator-style sunglasses here today and had the most unfortunate service experience! The guy who helped us was SARCASTIC, RUDE, ANDUNPROFESSIONAL. He even admitted he was being sarcastic! He said Ray-Ban doesn’t make Aviators(55mm) polarized because of viewing the airplane gauges. Well, I’m looking at a pair of RB3025(55mm) polarized on (gunmetal/blue) He called my wife«high maintenance» and told her not to take things so seriously. When you’re in the market for $ 200+ sunglasses, I don’t think being picky qualifies for«high maintenance» and«too serious». Even if they had the desired sunglasses in stock(and they were 15% off for Labor Day), I would not buy here. Sunglass Hut seems to have what we’re looking for, and we’ve never been insulted there. I like supporting local business, but not when I’m treated poorly.
