Horrible feeling, no customer service as expected in Annapolis. I felt like I was in PG County.

You walk in and sign in — no one wants to wait on you. They all act like they are very busy when in fact the store is dead — First Issue. Secondly, getting a good exam with their partner optometrist — Karen Norman & Associates is a feat in it’s own right. The older male doctor just wanted to get me in and out. For the record, he should retire. His diagnosis was completely off. They sold me 6 months worth of Contact Lenses that I can no longer return. They told me I was getting a deal on them(Not! Always shop the competition.) To say I am happy with the visit to both the store and optometrist would be a lie. I think both the store and the doctor office staff are very rude and argumentative. Needless to say, I went elsewhere and got exactly what I needed. They even gave me a discount and warrantied my visit. Stay away from Visionworks like the plague. You are only setting yourself up for disappointment.

This place has horrible customer service. I’ve had to buy so many pairs of the same glasses from here bc with the first pair, I lost them so understandably I had to pay for another pair. I purchased the new pair in September and have been taking pristine care of them since. I went in one time after buying them to have the glasses fit better to my face because the glasses were crooked. They tried a few times. The problem wasn’t fixed and they both told me the glasses were crooked bc one of my ears is higher than the other. Which it’s not, bc I have sunglasses that aren’t crooked when I wear them. Rude. So, while putting the same glasses on(still crooked) which is rare because I barely ever take them off unless to sleep… one of the pieces that goes behind my ear, gently just fell off with no snap or anything. I’ve had these glasses for a few months. I brought the glasses in asking them to repair them for me and I was told that they can’t fix them and I had to buy another pair. Its to my belief that the employees who were trying to bend my glasses in attempt to get them fit properly, and failed… That they loosened the glasses resulting in the part slipping off. This process has been completely inconvenient and overly expensive with no liability or warranty on their end. Not only was the customer service bad but they were also rude and not understanding at all. I will be switching my eyewear company.

If I could give zero starts for my continued experience here, I would. I went in to pick up my original prescription that had to be redone(finally) today, but when I tried them on, one of the lenses was cracked. I was so frustrated that I almost started to cry right there. They took the glasses into the lab and promised me that it would be fixed in the next 15 minutes.(Thank Goodness.) The lab tech put new lenses in and I was out the door and on my way, but because of my previous experiences I can’t shake the immense disappointment with this store.

Avoid this place. Terrible slow and unprofessional service, cheaply made frames, horribly overpriced lenses. The lenses are poorly cut, and the non-glare covering comes off too easily. They made several mistakes, one with my prescription and THREE with my lenses! They treated me like I was an idiot until I proved their mistakes to them. If they are annoyed by customer complaints, then perhaps they should make fewer errors. Next time I will buy my glasses online, I hear it’s much cheaper and easier.

They got a 1 because I couldn’t select zero. Avoid this place for the following reasons: 1) They appear to be perpetually understaffed. Unless you have an appointment with the optometrist, you’ll wait around a while. And they’ll happily let you wander around the store for an hour or longer. 2) While they greet you with a smile in person or cheerfully answer the phone, the customer service is terrible. The acting manager argued with me about how the eyeglasses are made. Never mind that I can’t read with them or that the bifocal line cuts my vision in half. 3) They have an amazing selection of frames, but they can’t make lenses for them. I gave them three chances to get my bifocal lenses right, and every time got a «reason» why they were perfectly fine the way they were made. The first set was made with about 60% of the lens as the reading portion, and that part was so far inward that I had to cross my eyes to look through the center of the bifocal. The second set was almost like the first set, except the technician left scratches on the lenses. I tried to figure out what the sales person was doing when I was explaining, in detail, my misgivings about the first set of lenses. The third set was also the same as the first set, except I could not read at all through the bifocal part(kind of like those cheap reading glasses you get at a pharmacy). In all cases, the shape of the lenses didn’t match well with the contour of the frames, leaving gaps in places. The only good thing I can say about Doctors Visionworks Annapolis(other than the frame selection) is that they readily gave me my money back. I guess that deserves a 1-star after all!
