I went to get a haircut today, and a lovely young lady greeted me and no less than 5 minutes took me to the chair to get my hair cut, I’ve been going to many places to get the right cut. And I guess I’m kinda like goldielocks because it never was right. But today Melanie fix everyone else’s mistakes and I am 100% satisfied with my hair. I will be going back for sure

I have been going here for years and getting a good hair cut for a reasonable price. Of course, like any hair place it all depends on who you get. There use to be a woman there who was the only one I would let touch my hair. She left. Now I ask for Ursula and she is great! Unfortunately, she is not there a lot of the times I can go. Yes, some of the younger girls have a bit of an attitude, but as I said, it depends on who you talk to and who cuts your hair. Tip well if you get a girl you like and keep going back. They do remember a good tipper and at their prices you can afford to tip $ 10 — it is still less expensive than many of the other places around.

Great, non-nonsense haircut. The staff is pleasant & fast, and the Monday special can’t be beat. The wait can be pretty long sometimes, but if you have other things to do at the shopping center, just fill out the sign-in sheet & ask how long it will be.

A good, no-frills shop to cut your hair. Most of the folks working there — all women in my experience so far — are competent and friendly. They’ll spend as much time on you as you want, and offer services from basic haircuts all the way up to coloring and highlighting. Be sure to sign in when you first enter, or you could be passed by for someone else. The primary downside is they require a LOT more direction than I am used to, and do not offer help or their«professional» opinions on your hair even when asked. Previously, I used the same barber from 8 years old who was much more helpful in navigating the world of hair cutting and didn’t expect me to know what the different levels of a clipper were. Mondays they have a special where you can get a haircut for only $ 10.

After a Friday night DIY hair cut mishap involving a few glasses of wine and a pair of scissors, I desperately needed to see a professional. Since I did not get out of work until 4 pm on Saturday, finding a hair salon that was open was a challenge. I decided that since the Cutting Crew in Ansonia was both open(until 6 pm) and close in proximity to my work, that I would give them a chance. I’m glad that I did. Since the hair cut was only $ 15, I emotionally prepared myself for a «you get what you pay for» result. Quite the contrary, I was extremely happy with my end result. Even though it was the end of the day on a beautiful Saturday, Amber worked carefully and did not rush though cutting my hair. She also stayed true to my vision of how I wanted my hair to look– something that I think is difficult to find in a hairdresser. While I cannot comment on the other employees, I can confidently say that I’ll be coming back to see Amber for my next hair appointment.

I wasn’t able to proceed without giving them at least one star, but in reality… They get no stars. Rude, nasty and lazy. I brought my son there for a cut and they acted annoyed by the fact that he was afraid to get a haircut. He was only 3 at the time. The 2 hairdressers that were just sitting there were oddly rude for no reason to us. I brought my nephew there, completely as a last resort, one other time and they dismissed us. They couldn’t look more annoyed that we chose them or the fact that they had to get up to help us. when my nephew showed her a pic of what he wanted she said, I don’t do edge ups. Then she asked the other one of who was just sitting there if she«felt» like doing it. Her response was, «I know how to edge up but I don’t feel like doing it.» «You need to go to a barber.» I was confused as I saw another man sitting in a chair getting a cut. I’m pretty positive all men need edge ups when getting a hair cut. Regardless, Trying to pass us off to each other, all to get told to kick rocks in the end, was not the way to go about it. Lastly my husband called(without my knowledge) the other night because he needed a cut and the girl was completely rude on the phone. My husband is the nicest guy alive and even he was annoyed by the time he got off the phone. Trust me if I knew I would’ve saved him the headache! This is why I finally chose to write a review. Straw that broke the camels back. I live up the street and it would be so convenient, I would become a loyal customer. But after the nasty service they gave us time and time again, Id rather drive to milford to get mine and my sons haircuts. The one time my son did get his hair cut it wasn’t bad. I am Not knocking their abilities. However what’s beautiful about a beautiful person with a disgusting attitude? No wonder they have so much time to just sit there!
