I have known Louie since the day he opened his place with his partner Larry. This pizza is special and as good as you will find this side of Wooster St., New Haven. Cute little dining area if you want to eat in but takeout is just as good. Simply amazing pizza.

Seriously… How can you have any pride if this is what your Stromboli looks like and you would even consider putting it in a box and sending it out. Disgusting.

Love Roma Pizza. I will sit outside for a minute before going in because it smells so good. Brick oven, wood fired, can’t beat it. Staff is friendly, too. Why go stand in line on Wooster St. when you can get just as good for less? Love Roma Pizza.

Great brick oven pizza. We moved to the valley a few years ago and tried many pizza places. Roma is the best by far. We also love the grinders.

They use a brick oven… Need I say more. The pizza here is just mouth watering. Reasonably priced and they do not skimp on ingredients. My go to is the shrimp scampi with some fresh lemon juice sprinkled on top and I’m in fancy pizza heaven. Stole a piece of my nephews vegetarian pizza slice(he got it without cheese) that was loaded with veggies combined with their tomatoe sauce I must say I didn’t even miss the cheese. Best place in the valley I have discovered so far. Pizza hopping is my hobby so I’d say I’m pretty experienced.

Getting out of your car, you know you are in for something special as the smell of a wood fire wafts about the parkinglot. Always a happy«How you doing buddy!!» greeting when you walk into Roma’s followed by the heavenly scent of pizza baking in the wood fired oven… mmmmm-Pinch me, I’m dreaming — -But this is for real! ! The pizza Is amazing– always a thin, crisp crust with a slight char around the sides. Sausage and mushrooms is my go to favorite, peperoni, or just plain mozzarella, you will not be disappointed. Recently the restaurant added new signs outside and a fresh paint job with high quality photos dotting the walls. Roma’s is mostly takeout, but there is a counter top with stools and half dozen booths for the family to pack in.

Stopped by Roma’s and tried a plain cheese pizza… it was fantastic. The crust was perfect and not dry at all. Have had two meatball grinders from here and they were some of the best if not the best in the area.

Connecticut, brick oven pizza from Roma’s is quite fantastic. It is a small restaurant set in a neighborhood and it has minimal seating. It is well known-locally– for take-out and is often part of weekend rituals — typically Friday nights at our house. When we went to pick up our pizza is was quite hot in the restaurant– not sure we would have survived the heat but our parents like to go eat there in the winter because it stays so toasty warm. We had several pies including a crispy breakfast bacon, a mushroom and an eggplant — so good! They have tons of toppings with over 30 pizzas to choose from including stuffed and Sicilian and they will make whatever you like and make it the way you like it. The grinders are large, foot longs and easily can serve two. Dad always favors the eggplant parm grinder — sometimes he will even share. Roma’s offers it all including: wings, stuffed breads, calzones, pasta, stuffed shells, cheesy garlic bread and Stromboli — so many choices! They will not disappoint.

Best brick oven pizza around. I am addicted to the arribattia pie which is hot sausage and hot peppers. I also love the meat feast pizza and have had a dinner salad and the chicken Parmesan grinder. They do have tables, but I usually get my order to go.

Romas has good pizza and awesome grinders. They have a sausage and peppers and meatball parm in one sandwich. Wow! Also the steak and cheese is one of the best I have had. Love the toasted grinder. They also do the plum pie that is awesome when it’s that time of year. Overall, very solid 4.5.

One of my favorite local pizza places, I been going here for years and it hasn’t changed one bit. Service is great, pizza is always perfect(I always get their shrimp scampi), and it’s always fresh. They got that brick oven style pizza perfected. Not much space inside to sit but they move customers pretty fast so I never find myself waiting too long either.

This place would rate #2 on my list for pizza. It’s incredible. The cheese pizza is my favorite but all the toppings are good too! The crust is yummy right down to the very end! The service is great and I find this place to be a well known valley staple but otherwise– hidden gem! There is table service for those that are not local. I would reckon that you give it a try at at least once and then decide what pizza rocks CT! Photos to come soon!

Pizza at Roma is on another level. The oven and ingredients used deliver a pizza experience that is difficult to convey in words and must be tasted. Having access to this business and their pizza is one of the highlights of living in the Valley. Only downside to this business is the lack of parking, and that they do not deliver.

Great pizza the brick oven is amazing. People that pick up the pjone arent always the friendlist but they are busy so i understand. Ive never any issues. Little bit more than i normally pay but its worth it. Being in ansonia its the only good pizza in town. Always 20 mins quick pick up.

Very impressive! Eggplant is my favorite kind of pizza(and one of my favorite foods in general), but tends to be really difficult to get right. Happy to report that the eggplant pie at Roma is delicious! Crust is thin, but still a good amount of «doughy». Sauce and cheese both very good as well, and not greasy at all. Will definitely be back!

All my years growing up in CT living only minuets from this place and this is my first visit. Sheesh I must have lived a sheltered life. Anyhow Great pizza joint, wood fired oven of course makes it amazing. Great staff. Not a lot of room for large groups and it seems like they must do more buisness with take out and delivery. Definite recommendation.

Best pizza place that I’ve tasted in Ansonia. It’s an Italian style brick oven pizza place with a few tables for eating. Service is prompt and staff is very friendly. If you are in Ansonia or Derby in search of good pizza, this should be the place of choice.

As far as pizza in CT goes, you pretty much can’t go wrong(unless you go to Domino’s or Pizza Hut). But Roma’s is by far the BEST pizza around. I have lived on the West Coast for many years and every time I go back East, this is my first stop — before I even go to my grandmother’s house, I stop at Roma’s for a large cheese pizza. HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants to know what good pizza tastes like. Brick oven, perfect crust, wish I had a slice right now.
