This was a nice surprise. Near where we live now and decided to try it. Best ribs I’ve had in a long time. You can even order a quarter slab! Great taste! Pulled pork sandwich was very good. Their sauce really adds to the pulled pork or chicken.

Don’t trust the fish-in-a-barrel syndrome of Anthem on this one, folks! If you have ever smoked meat yourself, you will likely be dissapointed. NO detectable smoke, in the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, or wings. If tender meat is enough for you, go for it! Everything is tender. The brisket falls apart in your greasy fingers. You will not be dissapointed. If, however, you think good BBQ has penetrating smoke, and robust seasoning, stay home and get your ‘Q on, the old fashioned way(slowly & deeply). ‘Tater salad was good, though :)

We stopped here for lunch after a desert adventure. It’s a very casual place where you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table when it is ready. — Pulled pork sandwich with fries. Pork was good. Fries nothing special. — Brisket sandwich with coleslaw. Coleslaw was swimming in a lot of liquid. — Brisket Salad. Nothing special. — Brisket nachos. Chips all seemed burnt.

Delicious food, good atmosphere at an affordable price. The combo plates allow you to have a variety and definitely fill you up! The brisket, pulled pork, and ribs were quite tasty! Try to save room for the Snickers Pie! Happy to have found this little family-owned gem!

I went there for the first time searching for delicious nachos. I went with two friends. One of them had the pulled pork sandwich which she loved and the other friend had the stuffed potato skins. Sadly, I was not crazy about the nachos. The pulled pork is delicious but the barbecue sauce on it is sweet and they use candied jalapeños so overall, the nachos tasted like dessert. They only serve beer and wine so I was not able to have a margarita with my nachos. That is not their fault but rather mine, as I should’ve checked before going there. If you want good barbecue, I think it is a good place to go but I’m basically reporting on the nachos which I did not care for. Our server was very friendly and the owner was as well.

My favorite bbq place by far. I hope they never close. I put their sauce on everything even my fries because it’s too darn good. Haven’t gotten anything I don’t like. Been coming here since they opened. Very good prices and meal sizes.

My friend and I came here for lunch he suggested it he told me this place has it all. This place feels family owned right when I walked in I got greeted by a kid and he asked me what I wanted I got then pulled pork with down fries and a drink it came up to 11 something. Price isn’t bad I can’t complain when I go to BBQ places. The BBQ sauce was incredible it was not too sweet it was just perfect I wish I could explain it some more but I just can’t I just wanted to drink it that’s how good it is and I love how it at every table and they aren’t a cheap family because most places cry over extra sauce. This place was clean and I liked the things on the wall multiple things like shirts and banners it kept me busy while eating. Fantastic place I couldn’t find anything wrong at this place. I really like it and it’s well worth the price and drive if you live far.

Overpriced, meh food, and not very hospitable. For what I pay for takeout, they couldn’t give us a few paper palates? The attitude is that they have a right to refuse my business and have signs posted to that point. Why? It just seems unnecessarily confrontational to the guests you hope to patronize your establishment. They are stingy with sauces, too. Bland side dishes. The fried macaroni is good, though. The BBQ they brag about is just okay. Not a favorite, but I order there occasionally when I want to get some BBQ quick and local, but it sucks to pay so much to walk out of the place with a few boxes in a plastic bag. I would pay as much at a restaurant for service and tip included.

One of Anthems Best kept secrets. We live in Mesa and found this place while driving through to Prescott. BBQ is better than Famous Dave’s. Will have to make a special trip next time we feel like BBQ.

This place is the absolute BESTBBQ! Worth a long drive if needed! This place rocks! The BBQ is amazing! Pulled pork slow cooked for 14 hours and ribs for 4! Amazing sauce — hence all the trophies in this place! I’ve never been to Anthem until today and I will be a regular now! A must visit and then you’re hooked! People from Tempe and all over we’re in and out of this place! AMAZING!

Excellent BBQ here up in North Phoenix. The wait is a lil long, but it is definitely well worth it! Our ribs were so juicy and tender, I’ve never had such delicious BBQ chicken before(the BF and I lived out in the Midwest), and the baked beans weren’t too salty or sweet! The service was spot on! I saw that they were getting slammed, so I was helping out by putting my our dishes away. I got stopped and was told that I didn’t have to do that, but they appreciated it. Definitely will be back!

We love this place and the owners are very sociable. I love the wings and the Hawg Dog while my wife gets the pulled pork but everything is great. The BBQ sauce is delicious and i love it for everything. The place is smaller but it makes for a more welcoming atmosphere

Omg I can’t say how amazing this bbq is! It is sooo delicious. We stop by this place out of the blue. We went in at about 2pm and it was fairly busy. We ordered pull pork it was so good. You can totally tell that it was smoked. The owner was very nice and came around a talked to all the guests. He asked if we needed anything and if the food was good. We will definitely be back. I also love how it is family ran. 5 stars for sure ! *****

My daughter and I went her because her mom is a huge BBQ fan and this place came highly recommended. I am not a huge BBQ fan and got the Hawg Dawg. It was the best health food I have ever had(cheese stuffed smoked sausage wrapped in bacon and deep fried). Simply amazing. My wife loved the ribs and said the sauce was the best she had had aside from the sauce her dad makes in SE Missouri. My daughter had the pulled pork and could not stop saying how much she enjoyed it. I think we may become regulars and it is no bad thing the next door establishment is a beer store.(Though, to be fair, they did have good craft beer on tap).

Great barbecue joint, and I’m a barbecue snob. The ribs were pretty good but the brisket was amazing. I came with a large party, so I got to try a lot of the sides and appetizers. The menu has a lot of choices for appetizers. The fried mac and cheese balls were above average, great cole slaw, great baked beans, awesome potato salad, but the pulled pork nachos were the highlight of my meal. I would definitely come back here, and recommend it to my friends with enthusiasm. They had a solid selection of beers too! Good times and a fresh experience.

I went to Q to U BBQ for lunch with my wife on Friday, 08÷15÷14. We were on our way to Flagstaff and needed a place to eat. We checked our trusty Unilocal app and found Q to U. We were both eager to try some South West BBQ. The restaurant is nicely decorated and show cases the many BBQ awards, and trophies, won at different BBQ competitions. I was surprised to see that the restaurant was not very busy. We both had a combo platter. I had it with brisket and pulled pork and my wife had the pulled pork and ribs. For sides I had the cole slaw and potato salad. My wife had the cole slaw and baked beans. Our orders came out in a timely manner and were served by one if the owners. She was very nice and told us about how she, and her husband, got into BBQ. She also told us about some of the awards they had won. Our pulled pork was tender and flavorful. It was lightly coated with their sweet BBQ sauce. The star of the show, for me, was the brisket. It was so tender, flavorful and juicy. My wife’s ribs were fall off the bone good. The part that I wasn’t crazy about were the sides. My cole slaw was swimming in mayonnaise liquid and my potato salad was a bit bland to me. My wife’s beans were, well, beans, and ok. My sides just didn’t wow me, they were just there. How about some home made corn bread stuffing or dirty rice? Something different instead of the standard cole slaw and potato salad would have been better. Over all, very good BBQ. Next time, I would go for a brisket sandwich with a side of fries and skip the sides.
