Bad! I’m trying for first time but I couldn’t cuz they are unprofessional. I called to know if they were open and one say yes and they accept walk in! So I walk to the professional Al’s Barber Shop but was close or look like was close! I lost 20 min and I was hurry cuz I traveled to Arizona! So I’m totally don’t recommend this place. I saw others reviewd and I think they are really bad! Good thing, airport has also cut hair services and they are amazing and PROFESSIONALS!

I don’t usually do reviews unless something really bothers me, and my experiences with Al have not been favorable. I have taken my sons to him on three different occasions and have always received the same cold treatment from him. My experience today was no different. I sent my children inside by themselves to get their hair cuts. Both asked for round tapers. Al did a high top fade instead. When my youngest son expressed his concern, he was told by Al ‘I know what I’m doing’ My children are well mannered honor roll students who respect adults. I feel that Al took advantage of that. When he was finished and showed me his haircut, he was sad and ashamed. When I confronted Al about it, he told me that he received that hair cut because he couldn’t sit still. My child is 13 and has never had that happen. On the other hand, Mike, who cut my other sons hair in the same shop, did an excellent job! Mike was able to achieve a perfect cut even though my son was having a conversation with me, nodding his head, coughing at times and occasionally moving around. Mike did an absolutely amazing job and was very friendly the whole time. I wish that Mike had cut both of my sons hair because one is really happy and one really sad. Al should really be more friendly. I expect him to verbally attack me for this review as he has done to every other person who has left a negative review about his behavior. I’m expecting him to say don’t come back to his shop too, as he has done to the other people who post. The truth is that I DO want to come back and have Mike cut their hair. Mike is talented, friendly and is up to date on the newer style haircuts. Al should take notice of that

I have gone to al’s just a couple of times now. It is a great barber shop. I get a taper fade and al does it up just right. There is no street riff raff that comes walking in, the shop is kept very professional and this is what a good business is all about. The price for a haircut is pretty normal, unless you like to pay the price for a garbage backyard cut, 20 $ for a quality cut isnt breaking my bank. I have always had respect from the people there and have never experienced any negativity. I recently moved closer to Al’s and I will be going there more often. Thanks Al, keep up the good work !

Ive been going to al for years! Al had kept all of his shops in a professional manner and never allows disrespectful people to enter! Al also knows how to cut and in the hundreds of times he has cut me up, he has never messed up! Bottom line, if you want a good haircut and want a good atmosphere, go see al. PS. Mike the other barber also knows what he is doing! So if Al is off, mike will take care of you.

I went to Al’s yesterday for a haircut and received the worst cut I’ve ever had in my 42 years. Al has my hairline way up on one side and and a dip by the sideburns. I kept my head perfectly straight. That was absolutely my last time going there. I chose there because the riff raff is pretty much kept out but I can’t deal with a $ 20.00 cut that requires me to now wear a hat for a few weeks until someone can fix it. I just finally had to tell him to stop because it felt like one side of my line was going to be on the back of my neck. He knew it was jacked up and still charged me $ 20.00. I paid it but that just cost him my business and any referrals.

I don’t know which barber was in there when i tried to get my sons a cut but he was rude as hell and will never give a business like that my hard earned money. So i don’t know how well they do cuts and i’ll never know now. I had been driving way out to Oakland but i’d rather do that and have a good cut and hospitality from the barber.

Good barber shops are hard to find. A great one is rare. But lucky for me, I found a great one! I went to Al’s last week and I’m still trippin’ about how great a job Chris did. My wife was thrilled too, she is usually quite critical about my previous cuts. So it looks like the search is over, no more going to Phil’s(been there a few times), family, and all the discount hair places(Great Clips, Hair Masters, Haircut Headquarters, etc.). Thanks Chris!
