I started writing Unilocal reviews regularly three years when I went to my cousin’s bachelor party at San Diego. I wrote reviews of every place I visited during my cousin’s bachelor party. It triggered me to write reviews on Unilocal.One of the places we visited was a paintball facility where I had a great time.
My cousin and nephew having been going to this location almost every weekend this past year. They encouraged me to go one of these days. I’ve been here twice. The first was on the Saturday after Thanksgiving while the second was the Saturday before Christmas. I didn’t realize how serious these airsoft games are. People set up by getting their supplies ready for action. The gear that most people wear is simulated to military attire. During the weekends there are four games. Each game is 45 minutes long. After each game you get a 15 minutes break with the exception of lunch, which is 1 hour long. Before the first game you are briefed about safety concerns. The most important safety issue is your eyes as everyone who plays have to wear goggles. Otherwise you’ll end up like Ralphie on «A Christmas Story» with the famous line — «You’ll shoot your eye out.» Inside the facility the layout is similar going to a worn torn city — abandoned cars and empty buildings. These games are intense yet fun. The game is split into two teams competing against each other. Each game has a different agenda for the teams to complete. The atmosphere is competitive yet also out going as people here are friendly specially during the break.
If you ever thought about airsofting this facility is very good place to participate in that activity.

I took my 16 year old son here a few weeks ago to test the game out to see if he likes it before I thought about dishing money for a Christmas gift. He came and was a little nervous, I could tell, but the employees here were very helpful. From what I could see the players were friendly, he said a few were jerks, but overall the rest were very nice and gave him suggestions. The layout is awesome and it looks like a fun place to play. The food guy showed up and all the grub looked tasty. Unfortunately my son got a migraine (interesting because he used to get those a lot when he pitched in baseball) and had to leave half way through the game. The employees and a few players showed concern and that made me instantly realize that this is the place to go. I will be bringing my son back again on December 26^th or 27^th and he is excited to be coming back.

Went airsofting here for the first time with some friends. It was organized and run really well. Games lasted about 45 minutes with two before an hour long lunch break and two after. It was $ 30 for entry and $ 35 to rent equipment. Keep in mind the 400 fps limit for guns, because they will not let you use them if they are over. Lunch was also provided on site by a catering place which was good and fairly priced. Coming back soon.

Gamepod is an hour from San Francisco, where I live. The drive is always worth it! Craig, the owner, is the coolest guy you will ever meet. The rest of the staff are friendly and funny. The people going to Gamepod range from kids who are just starting to play Airsoft to older and more experienced folks to retired military. It’s a great atmosphere to make new friends or just have a fun time in general. The games last about 45 minutes each. Every game has a different objective. The gameplay can be either intense or boring, because that depends on how much you put into it. I highly recommend Gamepod to anyone in the Bay Area, whether you’re a beginner or pro.

Some of the players and newbies are qustionable though.
A little perturbed today when a mother of a 12 yr old birthday decided to move our stuff to make room for her kids. I’ll let you figure out which one is her in the pic.
Felt disrespected by not bothering to ask us in the first place and just moving our stuff out right.
Instead of blowing up at the kids and at the parents, I calmly talked to them and be reapectful the next time around. The husband understood and talked to me privately, the wife/​mother still felt she did no wrong.
In the end, i just hope that all new parents and current parents teach thier kids about respecting others property. I cannot vouch for others if they would take it lightly as i did

This place was the first place where I started off airsofting. It’s pretty much a big indoor arena that has multiple tiny huts for people to camp. It’s well organized, and there are street and building names to coordinate where you are going. The lighting in there isn’t that great, so sometimes its hard to see where people are hiding, but I feel like the lighting makes it more suspenseful because you will never know where you get shot from. They also sell lunch there as well which makes it more convenient for us airsofters. Overall it’s a great place to go airsofting. The staffs there are pretty cool; many of them have quite a handful of knowledge about airsoft, so they can actually help you out or give some information on your airsoft problems. The only thing that I am super stingy about Gamepod is their restrooms. It’s a god damn Porta Potty, but other then that the only other problems I have at Gamepod is the players… there are some cheaters there that never call their hits. It’s not Gamepods fault though that people are dishonest players, but whenever there is a problem, the refs will take care of it.

I have visited this place a couple of times. The dark lighting of this place could either be its own uniqueness or its own downfall for some airsoft player. Personally, I like it dark so that my Madbull Flare tracer unit shines brighter. Having said that, if you do not utilize flashlight, tracers, or anything to see where the bbs is flying then you better zero your dot sight very well.
Long range indoor field is a rarity in California, thank god there is Gamepod. I love long range shooting! Usually friendly and honorable players are present even though sometimes there are few cheaters who don’t call their hits. Entertaining intense games depending on the scenario. The owner and staff of this place are courteous and friendly.

Sooooo… it’s nice to have an airsoft place closer to the Bay Area but be warned: this place is not the most well set up outfit: there is sub par service, no support or parts there like other at fields. I know it’s not their fault when a gun jams, but they jam a lot and it sure would be nice to have parts, service etc. So, my kid waited in line, paid, gun jammed first shot, and it was like, sorry, no refunds. Plus, the refs worry me a bit. I’ll be driving all the kids to Stockton from now on. Plus, outdoors is more fun, easier to see and not as hot. But if you don’t want to drive…

Not my favorite place to airsoft… But its not bad. It gets really really hot inside, and the lighting is absolutely horrid. Unless you are tactical equipped and have superior weaponry, then your just going to get shot up. Good for competitive players.

This place was really great! My son has been into this for over a year and this is his favorite! We just the two day event and had a great time. I’m new and just did my first day last week. Very intense. Don’t be put off by being a beginner. Younger kids, lots of 14 to 30 year olds, but more than a handful of old 40 – 50 year olds as well. UPDATED REVIEW:
So I went here again to get another perspective on the field. The referees are suddenly nice as hell! It’s unbelievable! I appreciate the fact that there are no real camping spots here. I still think games are too complex but the fact that other teams can spawn-​camp means there is something wrong with setup of the field. I suggest that games are more serious and more of the MilSim flavor. I’d still prefer other fields like Sequoia (amazing!), Fort Ord and CQB City.

Two words… Fricking awesome. Don’t think they allow swearing on Unilocal.Staff are friendly, they go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. Refs are fair and don’t tolerate cheating. I try to go their as much as I can. My son who is 14 loves it and we have a great time every time we are there.

Worst rule ever…2 man surrender. what is that. basically you run up. 2 guys there even if there backs are towards you, can only bang 2 people. are you kidding me. They want you to camp one area. Not move anywhere. basiclly play call of duty.. Campers. Im never coming here. 25 bucks to camp. ill.pass. theres other fields that allow multiple surrenders. cqb city, and galt. way better. why pay money and not be able to play at your full potential.. On a good note there are a couple cool refs. but other than that not worth it., being called a douche by a player cuz he got hit by his own team mate because I ran up on him and his team mate shot at me. and hit him too. fucking grow up… over it.

My second time playing here with my buddies and man, I had a lot of fun! 30 gets you the entire day and I think it’s like 30 – 35 bucks for rental but its better to have your own equipment cause it just makes it that more fun. They also sell BB’s as well just in case you run out. The warehouse is pretty huge with an urban décor setting. Lots of buildings, side streets and little ally ways. They have a mock up plane, props like cars and a mock gas station. Some areas are really dark so a flashlight and clear eye protection is highly recommend so you can see where you’re shooting the bb’s. And the staff is really really cool. They make sure players are following the requirements and ban those who sneak high fps weapons onto the battle zone. Besides sweating like a pig and stepping out for some water every 20 mins, Gamepod Combat Zone is a really fun place to play airsoft

All in all this field is legit. It was my first time playing there and i have to say i enjoyed it. I will go back

Very helpful staff, the refs were very attentive, but the rental gun (I wanted to try out lipo, I already own several AEGs) had a faulty mag feed and selector switch as well as the sight was scoped off, but it did a good job in terms of accuracy and range. Things to clarify– pre-​purchase a ticket from online, bring it in and check in with your last name, 400 is max fps, it says on the website indoor limit is 350, but what they mean is in the little houses or bunkers, so bring a sidearm. Nobody cheats, and if they do, its into the «hello kitty room». Most players are milsim guys with lipos and high end gas guns, no minges. The arena is 120,000 sq feet filled with buildings, not an outdoor soccer field with random barrels lying around, visit when you get the chance.

For being a person who likes to stay in 5 star hotels and not sweat, being grungy and completely gross out there playing with my favorite team, Team Quarantine was an absolute blast. I definitely have an itching trigger finger now. I am usually behind the camera out there getting the action shots but now I believe I am hooked! I will be looking into getting my tatical game on more often. This field in particular was really nice, I loved the indoor atmosphere and the zombie apocalypse pistol game! Minus the wearing your glasses constantly in the staging area I have no complaints. I understand its a safety issue but being sweaty and hott and having to keep those glassed plastered to my face in no fun. I had a blast and definitely will be back!
