Hot dogs, gyros, chicken, taco salad, really anything you could think of. The only thing I would add to the menu is onion rings but the fries are excellent. I always ask for a small order and get more than I could eat by myself. And the burgers are wonderful.

My beat friend brought me here to have gyros and I was like no way not at a hot dog joint but I gave in and I’m so glad I did they are freaking awesome !!! I f*#*#ing love the tzaziki that is my favorite part of going there me Nd my bff always get a big thing of it on the side and eat it with anything!!. This place is Worth it for sure. The hot dogs are good to and there chilli cheese fries are OK. The baclava is a basil baklava but still sticky sweet goodness.

I only order the gyro with feta and I probably will never stop. Wow, it’s good stuff, especially since we don’t have much Greek food out here. Haha, it’s always funny when I tell people, «man I had a killer gyro the other day.» They’ll usually respond: «where from?», my response: «Jerry’s hot dogs!» They usually get a kick outta that, but yes folks the Greek food is legit at this spot. It’s kind of a sketchy neighborhood so be careful, but I like the interior too, feels like you step back into the 90’s when you go in there.

Best gyros around in my opinion. Very authentic. Our favorites are the beef and lamb gyros, chicken gyros, the burgers, hot dogs, chili cheese dogs and cheese fries. They’re all always delicious! The feta cheese and cucumber sauce are always fresh. They need onion rings though!

The chicken Gyro with Feta, cheese dog, cheese fries, and Greek salad are all favorites of ours. There is one table outside where we sit if the weather permits. Inside is small with a homey mom and pop feel to it. There is a high chair I use for my one year old son. Overall, great food better for take out if you have a crowd.

Finally grabbed a gyro & fries after years of hearing how good it is and yeah… it’s good. Gyros are big! I read reviews again before stopping here today and saw someone compare their fries to In-N-Out and thought, how dare they!, but after tasting their fries yeah, it earns the comparison. Will stop in again to try other items.

My mom took me to this place last month and I can’t stop going! Although I’ve only had the Greek salad I still give it 5 starts because let me tell you, I’ve never ever had such a good Greek salad! I also ordered the delicious zucchini slices, which are to die for… Another reason why I give it 5 stars is because every single person I’ve gone with or told about this place loves it too! They say they love the hot links and French fries! Since the day I went the staff was nice, now that I go so often they know me and we always laugh because I keep coming back. I just had it yesterday for dinner and as I’m writing this review I’m craving it again! Definitely recommend this place :)

We found this place in Unilocal!&& decided to give it a try regardless of the most recent reviews. We thought maybe the long time customers just like the previous owners/cooks more but they could possibly still good to someone who had never been there before. Service was okay, not rude but not pleasant either. Just straight to the point . We got a chicken gyro and chili cheese dog && large order of fries. Chili Cheese Dog was okay. Chili was made with baked beans and tasted kind of from a can. Plain hot dog would probably have tasted better but why go for a plain hot dog when we can go to Kaspers, Caspers or Top Dog in Berkeley. Chicken Gyro, well I’ve had better. A lot better. The chicken was like steamed or boiled, definitely not grilled. The chicken had an odd taste to it. The tzatziki sauce tasted a bit too tart for my taste. Definitely a big portion though, 1 star for that! Just wish it tasted better. I don’t think we’ll be going back …

Antioch has changed in recent years, but I doubt Jerry’s has. To judge from the average age of the customers and employees, it is a fair guess that the original cast is still largely in place, even if there are some new faces. Like us. We found a tidy little place with fading signage. The focus is on hot dogs and gyros, but you can also get a sandwich or a burger. We thought the hot dogs were great — big and snappy on steamed buns. But the revelation was the Greek salad topped with a generous portion of gyros meat. This was a great salad with all the standard fare — lettuce, tomato, mild feta, olives and the like. But the innovation here is topping the salad with an enormous portion of well-seasoned shaved meat cooked to a succulent crispiness. Just a great salad! And perfect too for all you gluten-averse paleo weird-os. Continuing with the Greek theme we noticed Jerry sells dolmades and baklava. We will definitely try those next time. A couple of nits: the french fries were on the pale side and certainly could have been crisper. But you can get them covered with chili and or slathered with nacho cheese goo –or both — so all is not lost. Fountain drinks are all Pepsi products, always a bummer. NOTE: AFTER posting this I read other reviews claiming the business was recently sold and the quality has declined. We liked what we had in May 2015 plenty, but if these other Unilocalers are to be believed we would have liked it more last year. Stand by what I wrote about the employees and customers being pretty on in years!

Had to remove two stars. The last few times we went here, it just hasn’t been as good as they used to be. I usually get the chicken gyro and it doesn’t taste the same. Their chicken is lacking in flavor and dry now. It used to be so juicy and full of flavor. seriously the best chicken gyro we’ve ever had. Had us craving it all the time! Now, they’re disappointing. :(Sad to see the quality going downhill. Also, would it hurt them to crack a smile and be more friendly?! Geez. I just read another review saying they’re now under new ownership. I guess that’s the explanation. :(

I love this place! They have some tasty gyros and chili fries. I recommend trying the chicken gyro if you’re new to this place. Each bite is packed with flavor and freshness. Great customer service, I will be a long time customer.

Don’t get me wrong I really do enjoy the hot dogs at Jerry’s. I’m an Oakland native and I would pass up Casper’s for Jerry’s any day. HOWEVER, the last three times I went there something is not the same and it isn’t a a good thing. I have been going there since I moved to Antioch almost 20 years ago and always got excellent customer service and great food. The last three times I was there, there was no sign of Jerry or Steve and there’s this other guy there who is very rude and standoffish. The first time I saw this new guy I was with my husband and my husband asked him to make sure he grilled his hot dog and put a lot of pepper on it. The man got upset and had an attitude. This last time my husband ordered his usual, a grilled cheese dog and I ordered a cheese dog but forgot to specify grilled. My husband goes up to the guy who’s preparing the hot dogs and calmly asks(because of the man’s previous attitude and because he’s preparing our food) that the second hot dog be grilled too. The man immediately gets an attitude with my husband. The I go up and he’s never even spoken to me before and he’s rude to me and cuts me off and I’m just trying to tell him that the second hot dog needs to be grilled also. Because of this man’s rude behavior each time he sees my husband we asked when Jerry or Steve would be back and no one knows. Then we asked the lady at the register(also a new face) if they still owned the business because it’s been a while since anyone has seen them. She says she doesn’t know, she’s just helping out and doesn’t know who owns it she’s just helping out; she’s been there for over two months. Then my husband calls after we’ve left and asks for the manager and eventually the man tells us he’s the manager. So, hubby asks when Jerry or Steve will return and asks if they are still the owners, he says he doesn’t know when or if they’re returning and he’s now the owner. We don’t know if what he’s saying is true or not, but every time we show our faces in this establishment he gives us horrible service. The hot dogs and gyros aren’t good enough to deal with a rude and possible racist man preparing your food. **UPDATE**UPDATE**UPDATE**UPDATE** This business was sold and is definitely under new management. It is no longer the family establishment we all new and loved. I will not be revisiting, you can visit at your own risk.

Still a fan of the place, but you can tell that something has changed. I don’t stop by this place anymore since I’ve moved out of town so when I came by this weekend, I was puzzled to see that the son wasn’t there and the mother wasn’t manning the cooking. It could have been their day off so I ordered the same stuff: fries hot dog burger gyro The fries were a bit soggy. The hot dog tasted the same. The burger patty had the same flavor, but the bun was soggy. The gyro was assembled a bit differently(sauce at the bottom instead on the top and sauce was only on one end of the gyro). The following day, my boyfriend and I ordered just to see if they had an off day. I ordered a burger w/fries(bun extra toasted and fries crispier). My boyfriend ordered double bacon cheese burger and chili cheese fries. My burger and fries: came out delicious this time around! Asking for specifics tasted as if the mom was making it(same people from the day before running the kitchen; asked if it was run my new management and they stated no). Double bacon cheese burger and chili cheese fries: Burger was NOT a let down. Chili cheese fries: chili didn’t have any meat(if it did, it wasn’t found). Chili had a lot of beans, but had a taste that wasn’t chili. My boyfriend will only order cheese fries, but was a huge let down on the chili.
