Yes I do like John Muir much, much, much better than my previous Kaiser. I do like Dr. Yee very much. My Aunt also is a patient and loves her. I had Kaiser for over 10 years. I went to my Dr. at Kaiser back in 07 for a lump under my tongue, no tests were done, I was told it was a block salivary gland on 3 different occasions by 2 different doctors. I went to Dr. Yee one time showed her the lump, immediate referral to an ENT. ENT eventually(another story altogether) performed surgery 9⁄10 and I have CANCER! Yes I really had cancer. I had another extensive surgery and have lost feeling in my tongue, 10 days in the hospital at UCSF, radiation, PET scans, CT scans, MRI’s. I will have to go to the doctor every two months for now. Many more scans in my future. I feel very much cared for, and sometimes I even feel like I’m not just a dollar sign. Why didn’t I give 5 stars. Because Dr. Yee’s office personnel has messed up on quite a few things. Also it is kind of hard to get in to see her when you have an emergency.

I have seen Dr. Yee twice now, and she consistently doesn’t listen to your reasons for coming in to see her. I find, instead of hearing what your health problems are, she interrupts you or zones out, and you walk out of her office wondering if you actually were helped or not. After two visits, she still hasn’t listened to my main health concern or the symptoms that are causing so much pain. At one point, when she was trying to make a point about how ‘all I needed to do was loose weight’ and things would get«better», she drastically misquoted my weight to me. Which means she wasn’t looking at the notes the nurse took just a few minutes earlier, but instead was reading off the notes from two months before. Disorganized, cold, and uncaring. Put that together with a stressed out and unhappy office staff and you have a terrible Dr.‘s office experience that doesn’t do anyone any good.
