If you want an intimate live theatre experience, visit this charming little community theatre situated in the unlikely town of Antioch. PM&L is a small, well kept, and, judging from the patrons’ excitement, a well loved local theatre. Although I’ve walked past the theatre on previous visits to Antioch, this is my first visit for a performance. The customer service here is amazing. I conveniently ordered my tickets ahead of time on their online ordering system, complete with a «choose your own seats» interactive seating chart. When we walked into the lobby, we were greeted and our tickets were handed to us by name without even having to go to the box office window. The ushers were pleasant and helpful as well. The performance of «No Sex Please, We’re British», was about what I expected for community theatre. It had some funny moments, but the actors did not have the comedic timing absolutely perfected, so some of the bawdy bedroom humor and double entendre hand gestures were lost. BUTTHISISCOMMUNITYTHEATRE, so please do not mistake my observations for displeasure. I was impressed with the scenery and lighting. The scenery not only served functional details required for the play, but also contained little details like air vents, electrical switches, paneled doors and detailed door trim. For lighting, there was not a dark spot on the stage(although during the play there was no clear transition from day to night). The upcoming season is pretty diverse: small cast drama, comedies and farces, and both small and large musicals. The people here really love what they do, put care and hard work into something they love, and that makes it all worth while. Take a visit sometime! 4.5 stars Last visited 9÷20÷13

A charming place to watch a near professional performance. This is a real theater, nice seats, balcony and always a very good performance by amateurs that love their hobby.
