This is one of my wife’s and my favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent. WE love the steaks! Great place for a quiet romantic dinner. Service is exceptional.

Date night on a Tuesday! Great service and had the special, stuffed Dover Sole. Every time we’ve been here it’s been consistently very good. Don’t know what the crowds might be on a weekend, but nice and quiet on a weeknight, which we prefer!

We enjoyed their beautiful Easter buffet yesterday with 7 of our family members. We had a lovely window-side table. The food selections were outstanding — most notable the whole smoked salmon, ham, waffles, quiche & made to order egg dishes. So many delicious options on the buffet to mention really. The service was outstanding and Dave made sure all tables had what they needed, checking on each one individually. It was really wonderful.

Ok, where to start… Being from California and an admitted foodie the Chicago suburbs have been purgatory. Between the uninspired menu’s and less than warm greetings have left me in search of UNTILNOW. David’s is warm neighborhood secret, I mean to let the cat out of the bag. Do yourself a favor and take a short drive and come and get it. Dave has a well thought out menu and better yet the ability to execute. You will feel comfortable whether your in a coat and tie or jeans and a t. I found my new favorite. Thanks Dave for taking the time and having the passion to serve me, I appreciated it.

Went there for my girlfriends birthday, and ordered the«cajun tilapia special». When the waitress brought my dinner, we had noticed the kitchen had prepared me the wrong special, but she told me to go ahead and eat it, and she would get me what I had ordered. Not five minutes later she returned, and stated that the kitchen requested to return my «wrong special» to the kitchen. I thought it was a little odd since they would have to be tossed since I had already taken a few bites. About 10 minutes later, I was served the smallest tilapia fillet I have ever seen. Not to complain, but tilapia is the cheapest fish you can buy, and the way it was handled, not very professional. That wasn’t my first visit there, which is usually pleasant, but it’s my last!

I love this place! Try the steak salad it is super delicious. Also, the scallop puff martini is to die for; one of my favorite things to eat in the world, actually. This is a quaint place that is very intimate and always have wonderful service. They serve you warm bread with a soft honey butter that is addicting and so satisfying. There is parking in the back of the restaurant.

We were visiting family and they love this restaurant so we all went together for a wonderful dinner. I must say though, the main thing I remember was the incredible cheesecake! I have never had a more rich cheesecake in my life! It was what cheesecake should be, very rich and not overly sweet. Any cheesecake I have now pales in comparison! Go try this place!

5 stars just for service alone. Was really looking forward to valentine’s day dinner here, although I was not able to make it because of the weather. As soon as possible we will make it up to them! Great customer service!

We decided to try some place we’d never been tonight. I’m so glad we did. Our reservation was for 6:15 and there was no problem with seating when we got there. In fact, they let us chose where we wanted to sit. It did get busier by the time we left. Megan was our waitress and let me tell you, she was awesome. She gave us tips on her favorites and was super quick with asking us if everything was good and with clearing the table of empty dishes. Each course was perfectly timed to arrive at our table right after the previous course was gone. We started with a glass of wine each. Riesling for him and a Moscato for me. Warm, fresh bread was brought to our table and for our appetizer we ordered the calamari which was perfectly cooked and delicious. With our meal, my husband got the house salad with their in house made balsamic dressing which he said was very tasty. I got the cream of broccoli soup which was also good. He ordered the Ribeye steak and spent a little extra for the Parmesan crust. He said his steak was cooked perfectly and was very good. I ordered the Filet Oscar. OMG… so divine. The steak melted in my mouth and taken with a bite of the crab meat smother was a like a party in my mouth. For dessert, we ordered a Chocolate Ooooooze Cake. It’s a chocolate lava cake that came with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate. It was super sweet and super yummy. All in all, it was a spectacular dinner and we will definitely eat there again.

If you want a nice, adult, sit down meal with a glass of wine, this is the best place in downtown Antioch. Cozy atmosphere, interesting specials, and main courses that don’t disappoint. I really like their calamari, stuffed mushrooms and Gorgonzola bites as starters. For a main course I liked the duck breast and the maple salmon was excellent also. I also like their daily specials and order one of those more often than not.

Nice atmosphere, excellent service and a very enjoyable meal. I had Mama’s Meatballs & Pasta. The pasta was al dente rigatoni, the sauce was a freshly made marinara and the meatballs were tasty and flavorful. It came with salad and their vinagrette dressing was the best I’ve ever had. Oh, and the fresh, warm bread was delicious. I liked the exposed brick walls and the lovely paintings on the wall. David’s Bistro has a friendly, quaint and romantic feel. I look forward to returning.

Couldn’t be more disappointed in this place yet had low expectations. Ordered two simple dishes — asparagus salad and steak salad. My wifes asparagus salad came on a bed of ice berg lettuce, which wasn’t noted on the menu. Bad taste, bad presentation. Ditch the lettuce and this would be better. I had the steak salad and as soon as it hit my table I could smell the meat was off. I dont even know what kind of cut it was but it greasy and grissly. Was aweful, had four bites. I’d gladly pay more for a quality cut of steak that you typically get with a steak salad. At least it was all cheap and the service was pleasant. Sad to say we won’t go back. Hey David, focus more on your food than your art. Your menu needs work.

Fantastic! Go there tonight! Several weeks ago, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins all met here for a late Sunday lunch/early dinner. I think we totaled 15 or 18. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly! Although we were talking, hugging, and yelling at football on the t.v., our server kept track of everything. The drinks from the bar were right on! and best yet, the food was de-lish! We ordered a good variety of apps, entrees and desserts– everyone noted how the food was the right temperature(especially tough to get out hot food with a large party like this), and complemented the taste too. Thank you! What a cozy, sweet, yummy find in our little Antioch. Don’t hesitate. Go! Enjoy!

Went with my mom for the first time today for lunch. I don’t know why I haven’t come before. Amazing! All meals comes with soup or salad. We opted for the steak & rice soup. So good. All fresh ingredients and was amazing. We also had the appetizer crab cake. A little on the oniony side for me, but the sauce was devine. The main courses were fantastic. Mom got a pecan crusted tilapia. It comes with asparagus, but they were very accommodating in changing that out for whatever veggie she wanted. I ordered a flat bread. Perfectly cooked. I can’t wait to go back. Our server was also phenomenal! I wish I remembered her name. So on top of things and so nice.
