Best salsa(especially the spicy one)!!! The chorizo con queso is great! Good food, good service, good location…

Clean, friendly and courteous staff, great fresh food, live musician(on Sat), cold beer, and good prices. Almost forgot table side Guacamole!!! I think if you want to enjoy out door seating they have it for those days that call for it. What more do you need?

Just as an Indian buffet, it is always hard to review a southwestern grill or Mexican food place. The service here was great, we were a big group and they attended to us well. Our server was polite, kept up with most of our drinks. Overall with service there were no complaints. The food was decent as well, the chips kept on coming as we kept on inhaling them, the salsa however was not that great. It was very thin and then big chunks of tomatoes that was hard to break. Guacamole, what little made it to me after the group was good and balanced. Nothing was too overpowering, the food overall was good and the vegetables seemed to be seasoned well for a California style burrito. I have enjoyed this place compared to others that I have tried.

Beautiful day on the patio. Late afternoon lunch and perfect weather. Good margaritas, steak tacos on corn tortillas with rice and beans. Such a good afternoon meal. Chips are always fresh and salsa is very tasty. Not to hot or to bland. Always on my return list.

My family and I have been coming to Aranda’s since they’ve opened. The food and service have always been excellent. Sure, some visits have had different levels of service but there have been no complaints about the food taste and quality.

Years of experience lead me to this review. While traveling, I happened upon this Mexican restaurant. Service was bad to fair. Waitresses seemed confused it took an while to get the usual chips and salsa. I ordered the Flautas which were severely overcooked. I requested no rice, but had a huge plate of rice served to me. I made them take it back. The lettuce for the salad was brown with no soir cream or any other type of topping. Overall, it was awful. The table behind me sent back two of their four dishes. Again, they described it as awful. Find another place for Mexican food!

Come see Manny for some fantastic Mexican food. Everything on the menu is delicious — fajitas are our favorite! The best thing is the margarita special on Wednesday! Manny mixes a mean margarita and is happy to make as many as you can handle.

It pains me to give such a sorry rating to a restaurant we’ve frequented since they opened … but somewhere in the last few months Arrandas has gone drastically downhill. The food, when you get it, is actually tasty. Tonight my husband and I got fajitas — a seemingly simple, straightforward meal to prepare. An hour later, with NO hint of our meal coming, we finally got up to leave. As we were trying to pay for our beer, the server virtually ran to our table, but by then we’d had it. So at 8:55 we had to go home and have leftovers. I should have learned my lesson last month when we had an epic 50-minute wait for lunch, but we were trying to support a local business. I won’t make the mistake again.

I’m torn. I loved the food. My wife loved the food. My college student son lamented that it was so much better than what he can get near his campus. My daughter didn’t like hers, but my wife and I tasted it and fought over who would have it for lunch the next day, it just missed the little one’s palate. But the service… Friendly, but missing in action. It was a slow night, and I think that hurt us, as our waitress was rarely even in our field of vision to be called over. We had the tableside guac(which was superb) but we quickly ran out of chips(having used them already for salsa before ordering the guac) and never got the chance to ask for a refill until after our meals came. The waitress made the guac tableside… she saw there weren’t many chips for the 4 of us. .. so she really should have provided them automatically. Or at least checked on us in the next 15 minutes. Or been somewhere where we could wave her over. It was Christmas week, so we still tipped well, but it kind of hurt. We really want to go back and give them another chance to show it was an off night or the waitress had something we couldn’t know about interfering with her ability to properly serve us. We’ve waited tables, we realize that happens sometimes even if we wished it didn’t. Because really, the food was very good. Good enough that if the service fails again, we may put it on takeout rotation.

I drive 30 minutes to Apex just to eat these chile rellenos made with real Oaxaca cheese. Best I’ve ever eaten. The sauce they put over the top is just as wonderful. I’ve never tried anything else here because I’m so hooked on these things. Definitely worth giving them a try.

They give you plenty of the proteins and cheese sauce. But lack of seasoning in all our dishes. Food was plentiful but very bland.

We had high hopes for this place, although the place looks much better than the one in Williams street, we found the taste of the food here off and bland. We ordered steak ranchero, shrimp cocktail and top shelf margarita. We had to ask for hot sauce, pico de gallo, lime on top of salt and pepper so we could finish our food. We would try other stuff on the menu and see if it was just a bad night. Service is awesome though.

Food was totally sub-par and tasted microwaved… the salsa was bland and tasted like ketchup with nothing in it. Burritos were obviously frozen and microwaved — soggy and soaked in sauce and the rice for both of us was mush. She had the enchiladas which tasted the same… we didn’t finish our food and the server didn’t care we were unhappy. I do not recommend this place! We are new to the area and will be looking for other, fresher Mexican eateries

A nice twist on traditional Mexican food can be found here. What first attracted us was the $ 1.99 Wednesday & Saturday margarita specials and Friday night 32oz draft. This has quickly become a favorite hot spot now I can’t wait to get back to try their quest! Food comes out promptly. Even when it seems very busy, the food comes out with little to no delay. Locally owned and authentic.

Overall good food and atmosphere. Chips and salsa are really good. The service is super friendly. Fajitas were ok, a little on the bland side but still ok. Plus, had to pay extra for guacamole and sour cream which irritates me cuz I think that fajitas should always come with a little of both.

Excellent food! This is by far the best, most authentic, Mexican restaurant in this area! We have been a few times and our favorite dishes are as follows: –men in the family love Molcajete. Steak, chicken and shrimp cooked in a delicious sauce –Coctel de Camaron is my favorite. Shrimp cocktail with a kick, served in a large bowl. Had similar in Texas, but flavor and spicy sauce makes this the best I’ve had! Traditional dishes are also very good! If you like Sangria, must try their homemade Sangria!

When it comes to tasty cheap eats, Aranda is top on my list in Apex. I’ve been a couple times now and the food is really good. This isn’t your typical greasy Mexican joint of course you can find that here as well but this food has some love in it. Our service both times has been excellent and I love the outdoor patio. They always have a really cheap beer or drink special as well. The first time I cam I ordered the veggie Chile Rellenos they were pretty standard but super yummy. I also had the veggie nachos OMG they were huge and way more classy then expected. These nachos were full of fresh veggies even including toppings like broccoli, I’m a big fan and took half of it home. I think I walked out with a meal for 2 for dinner for under $ 14 amazing. My second visit I ordered a lunch special enchilada with a roasted poblano sauce. The dish was delicious and under $ 6. They also offer table side guac and I’ve heard it’s very good. I’m heading back soon for some housemade Sangria they make Watermelon and Peach flavored. This is a family owned local restaurant and they are putting out some good food. It’s turning into one of my favorite Mexican food spots.

Good food: straightforward tex mex style cuisine. Food not overly seasoned, which is good. Salsa is a little weak and watery. Had lunch carnitas with chili verde, eh oh was really very tasty. More refrieds would have been nice. My wife’s flautas were very crispy and generous in size, and good. She says best flautas she’s had in a long time. My sister in law says her fajita quesadilla was delicious and it was huge. Nice setting. Good service. We will be back

The arandas steak tacos were good, as were the salsa and guacamole. Good prices. We had a waiter and a waitress, and both were very sweet. There were long waits between check ins from the wait staff– probably because they were all(5) eating and hanging out at two tables in the back corner. Together. The whole time we were there. On a Saturday night…

$ 1.99 margaritas on Wednesday’s & Saturday’s is a deal that you can’t beat! My boyfriend & I got an order of table side guacamole(so fresh & delicious) and split the chicken fajitas for two(this was enough for dinner and lunches the next day). They also put coupons in the magazines that we receive in the mail so we definitely enjoyed the extra $ 5 off.
