Saturday morning. Line out the door. 2 people making food. 1 checking out and in charge of drinks. The wait to pay was 5 minutes. Ridiculous! Next time I’ll go to Harris teeter, spend the same amount, get more, be home in time for dinner.

Low health score, poor management, slow service. I drive the extra time and go to NY Bagel and Deli in Cary which is much better.

Not really reviewing this location as much as the chain or franchise itself. Chose this one because I always used to come here for breakfast and lunch back in high school and it was one of my favorites. They have delicious pulpy house made OJ and a myriad of different bagels, cream cheese flavors, spreads, and sandwiches to choose from — which is partly why the line can take a little long. Also because it’s a popular location with good food and plenty of customization options, which I personally think is worth a few extra minute wait. Most bagel flavors are also offered as a «softwich» which(as you can probably imagine) is a thinner and softer version of that flavor, perfect for breakfast sandwiches. My favorite is siriracha, spinach omelette, sausage, and cheese on an everything softwich with a side of fresh OJ, hazelnut iced coffee, or chocolate milk. No shame in my chocolate milk game. This place isn’t expensive per say, but you could easily spend about 7 – 10 $ here for a meal, more if you give into the temptation of taking home a batch of one of their in house made cream cheeses or fresh bagels. I enjoy the atmosphere and seating layout of this location; plenty of windows and comfy space in a separate area to hang around and avoid the irritated people in line.

After reading most of the reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. I saw the comments about the service being really slow but you have to put things in perspective. Brueggers gives you so many choices in different flavored bagels it works against them. You have people standing there taking 5 minutes to just read all the different flavors. They will also slice the bagels for you which also adds to the amount of time taken before they can help the next person. Meanwhile everyone behind you is mentally screaming at you to «HURRYUP!!!» I really like their garlic bagels and it’s nice that they offer to put those in a different bag so when you get home all your bagels don’t smell like garlic. My wife likes the rosemary and sun dried tomato bagels. The salt ones are decent. These can’t be good for you. They have that large pretzel salt all over them. They taste great but I wouldn’t take your blood pressure after eating one. The bagels are also very dense so just one will fill you up. Sometimes I’ll grab one of their bagel egg and cheese sandwiches before a fishing trip. I’m full until lunch. My experience was fine getting the bagels this morning. I’m sure I would have thought it was slow if the place was more crowded. I kind of know that going in though. I usually only get these bagels as a special treat for breakfast every now and then.

Great place to enjoy breakfast. It’s my first time here and I decided to order the traditional breakfast wrap. Eggs were just made so I was very happy. I had it with sausage and cheese. It was a great choice. The restaurant itself is a bit plain. Could use some additional décor. It lacks the warmth of a good coffee shop. Staff is very friendly and efficient.

Food is good. Good selection & tasty. Hard to explain the staff — it’s not that they are rude to you, just seems as though they could care less if you are actually there.

Everyone here is super friendly. I always get a snapple and chocolate chip bagel with butter or s blueberry bagel with butter. I’ve never been disappointed. They also have this bagel sandwich with tomato egg and bacon and its delish!!!

SLOW… not one employee acted like they cared about being there, my girlfriend’s iced coffee was topped off with tap water and I had to ask multiple times for my coffee before receiving it. Asked for a large iced coffee and was only filled half way. Bagels were cold when asked for them toasted. My bagel has little to no cream cheese. Terrible experience. Will never come back!

The Apex Bruegger’s(750 W. Williams St.) is probably the worst Bruegger’s location in the Triangle. I would widen that assessment to all of North Carolina, but I have not been to most Bruegger’s locations outside of my home area. It is a great pity that I have to give such a poor review to such a convenient location — it’s just down the street from my house. The staff is friendly enough and, as I mentioned, the location is great. This Bruegger’s, however, fails in the most essential aspect of a bagel shop — the bagels are horrible. Any other Bruegger’s location I visit in the area has fine bagels. This one on William Street, though, has wet, sticky, under-baked bagels. The dough inside is moist and dense and the sheen on the outside, typically produced by boiling bagels before baking, is an oily covering. This suggests that either the bagels were not boiled or they were boiled in water that was old and/or not boiling(too cool). These are inexcusable flaws and they have existed at this location for months. I go back occasionally to «give them another chance», but they serve up the same awful bagels every time. No amount of toasting can fix a wet, under-baked piece of dough. And I have one more complaint about this location — its operating hours are terrible. The morning hours are fine, but they close at 3PM. Most other locations in the Triangle are open until 5PM or later. What gives?

I really want to like this location because 1. I love Brueggers and 2. The location is so convenient. BUT I’ll have to remember that if I want semi-good service & a semi-good selection of good & drinks then I’ll have to go at least 3 hours before they close. I’ve gone all different times a day & the staff is only friendly during peak hours & after those hours are done then the staff shows their true colors & they don’t seem to try to replenish lack of food they just ran out of. To top it all off when I ordered sweet tea three hours before they closed they said they were out & didn’t want to make more. I would get it if I was coming in there 5 mins before they close but that definitely wasn’t the case. It’s unfortunate that they didn’t want to make more but I don’t really want to wake up 6 days a week at 6am for my job, but I do it. with a smile. because I need the job & it pays the bills. This staff is obviously so unhappy with their jobs it’s really sad. let’s just end this with saying that I would rather drive an extra 15 mins to the AWESOME cary location off cary parkway than go back to this location.

Friendly staff. They have always had a good selection of bagels regardless of the time of day I came in. Good sandwiches. Overall a good go-to for bagels.

If you bagels than this is a good place. Staff was friendly and good tasted fresh. One down fall was that it’s a little expensive. I went at lunch, their was no wait and dinning in was clean and quiet.

Nice staff very helpful. In the morning they have so many people work behind the counter so i didn’t have to wait to long until it was my turn. I like their Srilacha sauce on the bagel. It has a little spicy kick but not too spicy. The coffee there was ok, not my fav.

Not impressed with this location. The atmosphere — or lack thereof — was not very pleasant. No music which felt very awkward and uninviting for a coffee style shop. People were either whispering so the whole restaurant didn’t hear their conversation or you could hear every word anyone said. The set up was also odd with a split room. I asked for a small coffee but was given and charged for a medium. The milk needed to be replaced and the little station of coffee fixings was bare. The bagel was ok, but do yourself a favor and go to a real coffee house or panera.

Just as a few of the other reviews stated, the food and coffee are fine so that is not my chief complaint. The issue lies with the terrible customer service. The young lady behind the counter was not necessarily rude but more so appeared like she could not be bothered to do her job. She did not crack a smile, spark any sort of conversation, or have any sort of enthusiasm. Alas, I was not there for any deep conversation so I can look past that. But what I cannot get past is the haphazard way she threw our sandwiches together which then quickly fell apart, all in an effort to finish with us and move us along. My wife and I were irritated with the lack of professionalism but figured she might just be having a bad day. That is to say until we encountered the next rude employee who could not be bothered with retrieving our coffee or checking us out. Not a word was spoken to us. In fact, she was preoccupied with a conversation with her fellow employee to even acknowledge us. A simple greeting or a «thank you» goes a long way. All in all, a very lack luster and disappointing visit, especially since this was our first time there and we were truly looking forward to it since our recent move to NC. Thanks for putting your best foot forward, Bruegger!

So, today I went to Apex Bruegger’s Bagels and decided to order their new Sriracha Egg Sandwich. I got to the counter and told the customer service associate taking my order that I would like a Sriracha Egg Sandwich. Without even an «okay» or «yes», the attendant immediately corrected my pronunciation of «Sriracha”(Apparently, I put more emphasis on the«cha» instead of the«ri» or something like that) The tone with which the associate corrected me put me off and I went into disgruntled customer mode. I was ready to walk out, but instead I asked to speak to a manager in hopes that I might explain my being offended by the comment. The associate obliged and Alex the Manager came from the back to assist me. I told him that the person taking my order had corrected my pronunciation of «Sriracha» and that I didn’t appreciate it. He said that they could do that to ensure that my order was taken correctly. I said to Alex, «So you have a Sriracha Egg Sandwich on the menu that might be otherwise be confused with your Sriracha Egg Sandwich?»(Changing the emphasis on each pronunciation of Sriracha, like pronouncing Potato with a long«a» or short«a».) Alex did not respond to well to my comment. He said that he could take my order or that they have an «open door policy and that I could leave.» My wife was letting my handle everything initially, as she was sitting at a table when I was ordering, but when she beard him ask us to leave, she became very upset. After some arguing about his lack of professionalism as manager and my wife’s lack of professionalism for raising her voice in front of other customers, he again asked us to leave. As we were leaving(and with both sides trying to get the last word) Alex said, «And don’t let the door hit you on the way out!» Here is Urban Dictionary’s definition: Don’t Let The Door Hit You On The Way Out A metaphor for: «I think you should leave. Do not pause or delay while you are leaving.» Generally used when the addressed has been complaining about circumstances that the listener doesn’t agree with. I would say that sums it up. In hindsight, I was really just trying to advise Alex that his associates need better training on how to speak/interact with the customer. It’s not the associates fault if they have never been trained properly. Could I have approached the situation better? Yes, probably. But if Alex«I have been a manger here for 10 years» is handling situations like this on a daily basis with that kind of customer service, then what else would one expect from an hourly associate? Apparently, not much.

I wish I could write a better review — I really want to like the Apex Brueggers, but I’ve been to the one on Tryon Rd. in Cary and it’s like night and day! At Tryon Rd. the staff are much friendlier and pay more attention to detail. The overall atmosphere at Tryon Rd. is much more welcoming than in Apex. It’s awful that the Apex staff are shutting off the second room, putting chairs on tables and sweeping dirt into a pile right by the front door over an hour before closing time! You might as well put out a sign that says, «We don’t want your business. We just want to close up and get the h*** out of here.» Please consider observing the way things are run on Tryon Rd. — I want the Apex shop to succeed but it needs to make some important changes!

No complaints about the food. Its fine. Its the morning staff that could use some improvement. They’re not rude by any stretch but look miserable. No smiles, no greetings… nothing. Its almost as if I’m bothering them when I come in. If they don’t want to interact with the public, put them in the back and bring people out who will make an effort to greet the people who are coming in to spend their money.

I’ll start out this review by stating that I’m not much of a «go out» for a bagel kind of girl. Not when I can buy a bag of whole grain blueberry mini bagels or a 6 pack of everything bagel thins for $ 3 at the grocery store.(Yes, I want to shed a few pounds, hence the whole grain & low cal theme). However, a friend told me about a weekly toddler sing-along they have at the Apex Breugger’s every Thursday at 10am. Being that I’m always looking for free entertainment for my 10 month old, we decided to go. The«sing-along» lasted about 40 minutes and it’s defniitely geared towards toddlers(my 10 month old loved it and was probably the youngest one«participating» and the oldest kids were probably about 3 – 4 years old. I think at 4, they start to think the songs are a little silly. The lady who conducts the show sings all the typical kids songs that require a little crowd participation(ABC’s, Head Shoulders Knees & Toes, If You’re Happy and You Know It, etc) and seems to really love the kids. My friend and I were shocked though at the amount of kids/parents here for it! Most seemed like they were there every week(and now, we will probably be too). Although it starts at 10:00, be prepared to arrive 9:30ish if you want a table(or at least a table where you can see). I got there at about 9:35 and got one of the last tables(the show takes place in the left half of the restaurant, so there’s a limited amount of tables, although many parents just sit on the floor with their kids anyway). I actually did not get a bagel this time, but everyone around me did, and they looked fresh & yummy. My husband likes their bagel sandwiches, but at $ 6 for just a bagel(no chips or drink), it’s kind of expensive. But I definitely will be back for the next sing-along and I’ll at least order a coffee. :)

This is the best Bruegger’s I have visited by far! Food is always fresh and service is fast. There is a lot of comfortable dine in space. Give it a try!
