Went to IHOP for lunch today. The food was wonderful but what really stuck out to us was our server, Madison. Not only was she prompt and friendly, but when our order was messed up, she apologized and assured us that our correct food would be out shortly. Sure enough, the food was out within 5 minutes and she even gave me(which I had the correct order) a new omelette since mine had been sitting out when waiting for the other order. After that, we were extremely grateful and full. Madison then approached us and told us that we would get that omelette complimentary! She went out of her way to do that for us. definitely a great experience and we will be coming back soon!

This is the worst service and slowest service. When we tried to speak to the manager he stated food was on its way. 30 mins later we have our food. Manager wouldn’t even let us speak and keep speaking over us. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Decent breakfast chain. My husband and I went on an extremely busy Saturday before Christmas. The wait wasn’t super long for a table. The service was friendly, but slightly slow. I’d recommend the classic breakfast crêpe if you’re looking for something savory and the red velvet pancakes if you’re in the mood for something sweet!

Always have great food and good service here. Pancakes are great as well as eggs and bacon.

Came for breakfast this morning with the rest of Cary and Apex. Had the French toast combo and OJ. The food was good but the service was lacking. The staff and servers are pleasant but I’m sure overwhelmed by the constant crowds of people.

I have been to this place several times in the years that I have lived in Apex. It has progressively gone down hill over that time. I went there last week and it was awful. I will never go back. The service was good. But the quality of the food was very low. My husband said the maple syrup was like flavored water. I had pancakes and they were basically flavorless and dry. The bacon was tiny and over cooked. I have to find a new place to get breakfast food.

I signed up for their rewards program and got a free Rootie Tootie Fresh & Fruity stack of flapjacks just being being a good dude. I printed the coupon and dropped by on a gloomy Saturday morning. It was an absolute madhouse and I signed up for the 10 minute wait for 1. After 20 minutes, I split and decided on another day. There’s a tip for you — if you go there on a weekend morning, you’ve got a mess on your hands. Just the tip. SO, I dropped in Monday morning around 10am and shared the whole place with about 13 other tables. I presented my coupon and ordered the Cinnamon Apple pancakes. I posted a pic — for free food, this was a real winner of a deal. Nice and fluff, and very delicious. And I don’t even put IHOP on my top list of good pancakes places. Weird, right? Sunny in some areas, ample parking unless it’s packed, roomy booths(big folks will appreciate that) and good enough service. After my meal, I tossed a couple bucks tip on the table and went on with my day. Definitely get a dummy email account and sign up for their rewards program because it’s great free food.

Food was wonderful. Especially the waffles and eggs. Service was very slow! Took thirty minutes to get food and they forgot our appetizer.

3rd time at this place and each time has been identical. You don’t wait long to be seated but once seated everything else takes forever. Servers are nice enough but rarely come back, don’t take plates or refill drinks hardly at all. Today for a late breakfast it took 2 hours for 2 adults and 4 kids. Most of that wait was for food to come. All 3 times we have been it appears as though they need to add at least one more person for waitstaff and a few more bussers. The restaurant isn’t very clean. Food is what you would expect for an Ihop but not worth the wait.

Clean restaurant. Seated right away on a Saturday evening. Server was very friendly and accommodating. Food came out fresh and hot. I like the low calorie omelette covered in fresh spinach and mushrooms. the harvest grain and nut pancakes are full of chunky nuts. Good place to fill up with a reasonably priced meal.

IHOP is convenient if you are hungry, in the area, and don’t want to cook breakfast. If you prefer non-GMO foods, or food not sourced by PFG(incidentally, sued by EEOC for refusing to hire women for operative positions over at least the last decade or so), then IHOP is not for you. If you don’t care where the food comes from, you can get a super sweet donut with a creamy filling that masquerades as fancy stuffed French toast. Again, don’t ask where the food comes from because you may not like the reason you can have eggs, sausage, and home fries with your donut-like French toast for less than $ 9. Clean, convenient, and relatively inexpensive. It’s a good option if it’s the only one.

I typically get my orders To Go, and every single time I pick them up, parts of my orders are missing. Sometimes it’s because they just didn’t put the food in the bag, but frequently they just didn’t make parts of the order at all. The most recent time this happened my husband had to plead with someone at the restaurant to give us the rest of our food because he’d gotten home and realized half of it was missing. The lady spent 5 minutes arguing with him about it and explaining why she couldn’t have possibly made a mistake, and that we must be mistaken about what was on our order. Then the manager got involved and tried to claim we must not have gotten all our food because we probably tried to order something that was no longer on the menu(the missing items were scrambled eggs and hash browns). I agree with other reviewers who say the manager is defensive, confrontational, and unwilling to make needed changes in customer service. Twice, I called in my order but the server didn’t even bother to send it to the kitchen. My husband showed up to get the food, but had to re-order and wait for it all to cook. The times I ate inside the restaurant, servers forgot to give me drink refills and ignored requests for things like straws. I haven’t had nearly as many issues inside the restaurant as I’ve had with getting things to go, however.

I’ve been here several times and have had a decent experience each time. The food is good, the service is also good. Out waitress today was awesome. She had a sense of humor and was right on top of things. I would definitely eat here again.

This is the second time we have been to this location. This is the second time we have been treated rudely. Hostess at front was rude and sullen. She could barely muster up a sentence. After standing for several minutes, her only question was«two»? Seeing how we were the only people in the lobby and had been waiting while she was on the phone, it seemed obvious that it was just the two of us. Because we had to wait to be seated until she was off the phone, we missed the special priced breakfast by 6 minutes, which was not a big deal, however, it added to the overall frustration of the visit. Being a national chain, I guess you know what to expect, however, I think it’s not to much to expect some customer service. I’m treated better at McDonalds. I’ve worked in the service industry and sometimes is sucks, but you put a smile on your face and you take care of customers. That’s part of the job, if that’s not your cup of tea, than find a job in a less interactive environment… Thanks IHOP for ruining a special breakfast with my child. Last visit for us, too many other choices out there. Oh and good was«OK»… Nothing special, sadly.

What I liked: It’s clean and new! IHop food is always good,(How can you co wrong with bacon and eggs?). We were seated quickly and fed quickly. What I didn’t like: Our server who acted like she’d rather be anyplace else!

Visited this weekend when it was snowing heavily. We thought they’d be few people there, but it was packed. When we checked in I was surprised to hear the wait would only be fifteen minutes — and it was! Our order was taken quickly and the food came out almost as quick. It’s your typical IHOP menu and it was consistent with their offerings. Nice selection of 55& over options for a couple dollars less then the same things on the rest of the menu. Friendly staff too!

I attempted to take the family to IHOP for dinner tonight. The place was maybe half full, but we were asked to wait 15 minutes to be seated(at ~7pm). So instead of seating us, taking our drink order and letting us know the kitchen was slammed and our food order would be delayed, we were asked wait in the lobby! Not the way to treat a customer!

We’ve been to the restaurant a few times and my son likes it because they have his favorite«create-a-face» pancake. However the service on Thursday night was so terrible, I don’t think I ever want to come back. I don’t know if they were short a couple of servers, but it took about 20 minutes for someone to come by and take our drink order. By that time we were ready to order the meal as well. My husband got an omelette, my son got his pancake, and I got the tilapia with«hollandaise». I had ordered a side salad with my tilapia, since it came with either a soup or salad. When the entrees came out, I asked where my salad was. The woman who delivered the food said she’d be right back with it. I realized at that time we were missing ketchup as well. She never came back with my salad, and I never got the ketchup either. Eventually our server came around when we were done with our meal, and I told him about the salad. He asked if I still wanted it and I said no, it was pointless to bring out the salad after the meal, I just want the bill comp’d for it. We waited and waited for the bill. By the time we finally got it, it had been well over an hour since we had arrived. Usually I go to IHOP for a quick meal, not to spend an hour staring at dirty plates. When I checked the bill, the salad wasn’t comp’d, it was full price for the entrée. I usually never tip under 15%, but the service was unacceptable so I had to take the price of the salad out of the tip. Sorry man, but you can’t just not deliver parts of the meal and expect people to still pay full price for it. The only positive thing was that the food was still okay for an IHOP. My son loved his pancake, and the tilapia was good, even though the hollandaise was clearly a powder mix and not actual hollandaise sauce.

Normally this is one of our favorite weekend breakfast places, with consistently prepared food at reasonable prices. The pitcher of coffee they leave on the table when you order a cup is always a good thing too. Unfortunately, there is one main drawback which prevents it from receiving a full five stars: Though the food is consistent, unfortunately the waitstaff is not. There are a few servers that are fabulous, but also a few that are slow and less than helpful. We’ve gone into the restaurant on separate weekends, ordered the exact same meals, and have had vastly different dining experiences depending on where we are seated in the restaurant and who is waiting on us. It’s really too bad, because if we had been assigned to one of the slacking servers on our first visit, we likely would not have returned. If you go on a weekend morning, try to go early(before 9 am) to avoid a wait and the noise of families with lots of kids. It quiets back down on weekend afternoons.
