Visiting from out of town and found this place. The pizza, salads and garlic knots are great! Staff are super nice and service was quick.

I think this is our go-to decent, convenient pizza place. There is a great $ 9 large one topping take-out special, and works well to pop in, make the take-out order, then go to the grocery store for whatever else we need. We really like the«works» pizza, too.

Picked up a pepperoni pizza for tonight’s dinner. It’s ok but definitely not anything to «yelp» about. VERY greasy and crust is just ok. Fast and inexpensive… although I was a bit disappointed that I was overcharged and didn’t realize until I had already left. I ordered the x-large special that was supposed to be $ 9.99 plus tax but I was actually charged $ 13.50. So be sure that they charge you the correct price as advertised!!!

Great pizza for take-out. Crust is perfect for multiple toppings. Fresh ingredients– no canned mushrooms here. Great value. Family of 4 approved.

Food: two stars. Loyalty program: third star! Located in the Lake Pine shopping center, this pizza joint is great for lunch with co-workers, which is the only time I ever come here. They have fast and accurate bring-you-your-slices service, and they do a good job handling the inevitable lunch rush courtesy of Apex High School right across the street. If you are not a high school student and you don’t need to scope on them, show up at exactly 11:45am to enjoy your pizza right between their main lunch times. Hot pepper flakes and cheese on the table add a little zip to pizza that is not bad, but uninspiring. You can also bring your own hot sauce(I do) for more zip — they don’t have any. There is also a pig statue standing on the front counter urging you to «Don’t forget the cannolis.» Strangely, I have always forgotten them.

Awesome pizza, can’t beat the large 2 topping for 8.99 carry out special!

Cheap, quick and pretty good pizza. Great for a lunch break. Also has a great loyalty program. Tempted to give it 4 stars given the pricing is so good relative the value, but I refrain as I will reserve 4 and 5 stars for excellent Pizza(a la Pepe’s or Modern in New Haven, CT).

Came here for the first time tonight after shopping at the nearby Kroger for years and am satisfied, despite the chest pains and sputtering arteries I have after a large sausage and bacon pizza(not joking, it hurts). The place looks like your typical NY-style pizza joint, it’s also right beside a typical Chinese take out place. I was apprehensive at first, expecting a grease-covered place selling paper-thin pizzas and gyros by semi-rude Middle Eastern men posing as Italians(sorry but it’s just what I’ve come to expect). Instead, everyone that worked here was extremely nice and courteous. They were a group of guys no older than early 30s. We shopped for groceries at Kroger for about 15 minutes and came back right as the pizza come out. There’s nothing special about the pizza but it was hot and fresh and tasted great. It’s like finding your favorite neighborhood Chinese joint that’s fast and consistent with a great staff. What a wonderful feeling! The dining area is typical but relatively clean. They even bring you out plates and a pie server if you want to eat a slice there. I’ll definitely be back… after a few trips to the gym, that is.

Expecting a chain-style or a mass-market style pizza, I was pleasantly surprised by what I found at Michelangelos: A lot of choices in pizza, pasta, sandwiches and the miscellaneous chicken wings/fingers, salads, calzones and stromboli. The pizza crusts are pretty ordinary, not too doughy, not too chewy, not too thick, too thin, nor crispy, nor greasy, but that makes it a perfect balance to the large serving of toppings where you can actually taste the toppings without the flavor being overwhelmed by the crust. You’ll get more pizza for the money here, and some pretty good non-pizza items. At lunch it’s hard to beat the two slices plus a drink for less than five dollars that’s a local special, nor the two toppings on a large pizza for eight. And the salads, each time we’ve ordered, have tasted fresh, which in itself is a feat given our experiences elsewhere. Michelangelo’s is a nice in-between spot if you want better than an all-you-can eat but less than gourmet.
