Such good cake !! We came by today for free bday cake and ice cream.
It’s tucked away in a shopping plaza in Apex but worth finding !
You can get several different types of cakes by the slice. SO YUMMY !!
We stopped by for a slice. Kinda pricey. $ 5 for a slice. I could tell there were quality ingredients there. The taste was good but the cake wasn’t really fresh. I don’t know how long they let them sit under those glass domes but I would suggest that they have a «markdown day» to allow them to clear out inventory and start fresh.

Red velvet cake is too wet that it sticks on the roof of your mouth., icky! With the price they’re charging at least use cream cheese for frosting. Birthday cake is good but way too sweet.

$ 5.00 a slice. Really. I mean Really. ?? Check Shatila in MI .the BEST slice is $ 2.50. I know this is not MI. But coming from MI, I will not allow to be robbed in day light. I can get a whole cake for $ 25.00. Did it taste good??? Absolute!!! was the décor good??? Sure!!! But the Gas prices are down, the ingredients price is down, why did it go up??? Greed!!! I know the business need to make money, but $ 5.00!!! Shame on me if I pay that much for a slice of cake. If in NC they allow business to take advantage of them, I am glad I grew up in MI. Once the price goes back to $ 3.50, I will be back. This why so many business fail. It is cake «great cake mind you» for god’s sake.

I have been a customer of Sweet Cheeks for several years now. The bakers have consistently provided delicious, buttery, homemade desserts for my family’s birthdays and other special occasions-​although you don’t need a special occasion to stop in for a slice of cake, cookie or cupcake!
They also have a menu full of speciality cakes that can be baked on request. Don’t waste your money on pre-​frozen, unhealthy grocery store birthday cakes. Sweet Cheeks is the place to go for homemade treats!

I have been here several times. Locally owned, fresh and tasty.
The owner is very helpful and will walk you through selections. I have never been disappointed. Well worth the trip.

In love with the caramel cake but sadly I will no longer be coming here. Cake slices went up to 5 per slice which is a little to rich for my blood on top of the fact that if u have a card you can get in punched every time as long as you spend over $ 14 after the 10th time all you get is 1 free slice. Which is not a «deal», you spend 140 dollars and get 1 free slice of cake. So sad we not be returning I understand business’s need to make money but that’s ridiculous it’s the same thin slices of cake for 5 $ from 3.75.

I got a slice of the peppermint cheesecake. It was a little pricey but, it was well worth it. It was really freaking good. So good, that I devoured it without taking a photo. And the lady at the counter was very welcoming and didn’t try to push me out. Even tho they had other customers.

Sweet Cheeks is awesome! It is a true traditional bakery with the best cakes in the Raleigh area. The staff is super helpful, and willing to work with you even on special orders. There are no bad choices so indulge.

I have been a customer since their opening day. I love how personable they are with each and every customer. They may not know my name, but they remember our family’s favorite cakes or are always asking about my son if he is not with me. I don’t feel like ‘just a customer’. The customer service is outstanding and the quality and taste of the cakes are incomparable.

i procrastinat on my mom’s birthday and asked sweet cheeks to bake their small yellow cake w/​chocolate butter cream icing … WOW … simply WOW. the cake was absolutely perfect.

the only thing you need to know about sweet cheeks = turtle.
the oreo bar is amazing as well, and is almost my favorite, but that turtle bar is probably the best indulgence you can ever have — hands down.
i’ve had their cupcakes and a few slices of their cake too, they are «okay» but nothing compares to the turtle bar.
i would have given it a 5 but the prices are just a tad bit high (but obviously not too high to keep me from going back!!!).

Great selection! I got the strawberry special and it was wonderful! I do agree with another reviewer that for the price the slice should be bigger (that is the only reason I gave them a 4 instead of 5). The taste and selection though is great! If your sweet tooth is stirring this is a perfect way to satisfy it!

I was told their Red velvet cake was one of the best here. And indeed it was! I absolutely loved the cake and so did my friends! Even though the cake was delicious, it was a bit too sweet to my liking. I would have rated 5 if the icing had less sugar.

First time I have been to this place. The staff working the day I went was very nice. the store was also very clean. I bought 5 slices of cake — 5 different flavors — just so I could take them home and sample them. The two pound cake slices I bought were awesome! One was lemon and the other was pumpkin. I was not as impressed with the cakes which were ok, but not something to pay as much as I did for them. If you are in the mood for a slice of pound cake, this is the place to go.

You enter and all you see are cakes everywhere. With so many options, we got confused and it took us a good 10 mins to decide which ones we were planning to snack on.
The manager who runs the store was kind enough to walk us through all the different flavors. We chanced ourselves on 2 of them. The slices that we were cut were too thin to cost us 3.35 $ per slice. The cakes tasted average and nothing out of the ordinary.
The décor is pleasing.
Bottom line: Ordinary cakes at exorbitant prices.

Walk into this store and you would notice nothing but cakes. They have one of the widest collection of cakes I’ve seen in a store. We had to walk around the counter 5 times before we finally made up our minds.
The store manager was very patient & gave us inputs to help us decided. Being a cannoli lover, I wanted try their cannoli cake. First bite into it, I knew it was fresh & made from scratch. It tasted like home made, no doubt. However may be I had high expectations, this particular cake dint come together for me. Overall I didn’t enjoy it, but I felt I could definitely come again & try their other cakes. They also have cookies, cheesecakes & pies.
Even though I really liked that we could try different flavors by slice, I definitely feel that $ 3.75 for a thin slice of cake was pricy

WOW… I think I started to grool as soon as I walked in! All the cakes were just sitting infront. You could pick any flavor and they slice it right there. I felt the slices were a little small for the price you pay but they tasted so good! I did get the carrot cake and it was really good!

I always sneak over here when I have a sweet tooth and it never disappoints. I usually get s slice of double chocolate cake and s cup of milk. The cake is always nice and moist and delicious.

I found this place while taking a walk around my boyfriend’s Chinese school one day, and boy am I happy with this discovery. The baker was really friendly. They have freshly fried yeast donuts, and you can choose your own toppings. You can’t go wrong with the original glazed. Their cakes and cookies are also very good. The cakes are very sweet, so make sure your sweet tooth is ready or have some milk!
The fresh donuts are what I come here for, and it is seriously the best donuts I have ever had!
