Always love grabbing lunch or dinner at the bistro. Wait staff is always super friendly, and the daily specials are exceptional.

The Hawaiian chicken salad had no grapes, pineapple or almonds. Such a disappointment. Only, chicken, onions and too much creamy dressing. Waitress was nice when ordering, but never came back. Never Again!!!

What a great little gem hidden in Apollo Beach. Go for lunch and get the burger bowl, it is awesome — you can thank me later. Great wine selection for dinner and the food is always very good. The staff is very nice and accommodating.

It’s been over a year since I wrote my last(slightly damning) review. Since then, they’ve updated the décor and made staffing changes. All I can say is «Wow, well done!» I went back on a Sunday for the Prime Rib dinner and it was excellent. Logan and Steve know wine, customer service, and their kitchen. They’re committed to making this a neighborhood gem and from what I’ve seen, they’re well on the way to succeeding. I am really looking forward to giving 5 stars after a few more visits!

It was a little odd parking by, and walking by, the tennis courts to get to the restaurant. The inside was a bit ho-hum. The bar was out of the wine we were looking for and there were not enough of the specials for all four of us to order. Even a second special was in short supply… whatever I got was so unmemorable that I cannot remember what it tasted like… although I DO remember that it was overpowered by some sauce. The friends we were with raved aobut the place, so, maybe we will go back… idk…

Had lunch with a couple of colleagues today and it was fantastic. The salads were crisp and fresh. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The burger bowl was a the hit of the table. Very good. I will be coming back.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is so friendly. I typically get the prime burger, probably one of the best burgers around!

I don’t normally review places but was pleasantly surprised at our experience. After reading not so great reviews on Apollo Bistro I was reluctant to come for lunch but the hubby talked me into it. Upon arriving the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. Upon seating the waitress immediately told us the specials. We both chose to partake. Hubby ordered the pizza burger and I ordered the buffalo shrimp wrap. Both are served with French fries or potato salad. I asked whether the potato salad had a lot of mustard in it and the waitress offered to let me try it before I made my decision. It does have a bit of mustard but it’s very good and tastes homemade. After checking in and receiving 50% off an appetizer we chose the loaded bistro fries. They were delic! Very fresh and tasty! The rest of our food was tasty, as well. Hamburger wasn’t homemade tasting but the ciabatta roll was amazing! The prices were extremely reasonable and our server was a delight. We will definitely be back!

This bistro has good food and excellent service. The décor is a little dark and some what outdated. However, it’s a nice, quaint restaurant tucked away in apollo beach. Pricing is average. Overall a nice place to enjoy a quiet dinner.

I can’t even… everything wrong with restaurants… they did it. Including forgetting we were there! No joke. A party of frikken 4. Forgotten! Bottom line: Overpriced. Dirty from head to toe. Deplorable service. Blah food — after waiting an hour. Never again. Just… Never.

So we really love this place as the food is always excellent. Last night took a friend who had never been there and when we checked in a 50% appetizer coupon popped up. I showed it to the waitress who I believe is an owner or relative and she had absolutely no idea what it was or how to process this. She went and asked a young man who I was told was the owner and we were informed that it only applied to certain appetizers and of course not the one we wanted. The coupon stated any appetizer hit they would not honor it. Lost a star for that issue. Food was delicious but the wait time is long and a family actually left while we were there as they were tired of waiting. Another star gone sorry! No refill on water or soda and restaurant totally full and obviously never enough staff to manage the customers inside and out. Again food always excellent but honoring coupons and wait times should be a focus of owners in the future. Great food alone will not keep a customer base forever.

This place was awful. Dirty menu. Didn’t want to eat but decided to against my better judgment. Rudest service I’ve ever received. The whole place was just nasty. p!

My husband and I are thirty somethings and came here with intentions of eating dinner, but we ended up walking out. We are somewhat new to the Riverview area(we are from the Chicago area) and are trying to venture out from the chain restaurants. Chicago and the suburbs have some fantastic small business(that are not chains) restaurants and we want to find some great ones here too. However we feel that we need to keep looking. We decided to come here for dinner because we liked their website and I wanted to try their garlic and herb risotto. The artichoke cakes and alfredo sounded delicious as well. When we walked in to the restaurant we stood there for a few minutes waiting for someone to greet us. It was awkward. I wasn’t sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or continue to wait. We stood there and waited. Two waitresses walked by us and a lady brought the rest of the entrees to the tray they have sitting there to showcase their specials. We were the youngest people in the restaurant(besides maybe the wait staff). The décor was dark and dated. The table cloth was paper(there was not a linen or cotton table cloth underneath it either). This was not at all what I was expecting based on their website. Their website made it look like an upscale wine bar. However, in person it looked like one of the weird crappy small town restaurants my parents like to go to that only serve meat and I end up special ordering a salad. When we were seated, the waiter handed us dirty, crinkled paper menus(the menus were printed on copy paper) that were very different from the menu on their website(no meatless options besides the caprese salad). I am not a big meat eater(I will only eat chicken) and my only options were a caprese salad(which did look delicious, but I make that at home) and a side order of mushroom risotto(which was not on the paper or online menu). I told the waitress I don’t eat meat and asked what my options were besides a salad. She said they have seafood. I told her that I saw risotto on their online menu and she said they only have mushroom risotto as a side. At this point my husband and I are trying to decide if we are going to stay and hope for the best or leave. My husband said some of the menu options and specials look good, but nothing stood out to him. We decided to leave even though we didn’t know where we were going to go.

This is definitely an all-over-the-place establishment with good steak. Service is friendly and super fast for your drinks, and really, ridiculously slow for food. The artichoke cakes are awesome, as is the steak(even if it was overcooked). Getting toppings on a steak is a rookie move, but the crab/bleu cheese/sauce topping I got was worth the ridicule I will definitely receive at my Steak Eaters Monthly meeting. Seriously, the steak is the best thing there. Mixed vegetable side was interesting, and tasty too. But the mashed potatoes were boring. The wife had shrimp, which I’m told were acceptable. The interior(with no hostess stand, so just find someone and ask where you can sit, I guess) looks like a pizza place from the 70s. Poorly lit, carpets, lattice over the florescent lights. But let’s talk about the bathroom experience for a moment, shall we? Ladies, feel free to read a different review now, but gentlemen… stage fright. Now, as an adult male comfortable with who I am, I don’t care if someone is at the urinal next to me. But when there’s absolutely no other sounds to be heard besides whoever else is in the bathroom, sometimes the party stops. The restrooms are far from the music or any sound whatsoever. You will hear the minutiae of whatever else someone is doing in there. And they will hear you too. Seriously, Bistro. I’m not asking for an iPod with top 40 in there, but something — anything — would be nice. The main dining room tunes, or a cat meowing. A whirring fan, even! But good steak.

This place had a very weird atmosphere. My friend and I walked into the door and there was no one to greet us. The place was nearly empty, and the specials board was incomplete. Our waitress never actually told us what the specials were… We had crab cakes as an appetizer, and they were gummy and full of fillers. The flavor was bland and the presentation was typical.(10 bucks). I had the mango shrimp(15) with a spinach risotto and green beans. The shrimp was edible, but it was floating in this sweet cream sauce with little bits of mango and onion– it was just very strange. My friend had the seared tuna, which I tried and was pretty good, but I’m not sure if it was worth the 17 dollars. There were a could of people in the restaurant, but I think they were the server’s family because they would sit down with them or say loudly that they would give them free drinks. I will not go back. I would have been happier with the opportunity cost of Publix fast food.
