Southshore Uncorked

Southshore Uncorked is a unique Apollo Beach winery where all the wine is made right on the premises. The knowledgeable employees will take you through the process from start to finish. Whether you just want to purchase a few bottles of hand crafted wine or start your own wine kit, they are there to help you every step of the way. This little shop has an amazing assortment of wines available. Whether your a novice wine drinker or have a more refined palette, with 90 different varieties of wine, you will not leave empty handed. The staff encourages you to sample some of the bottles in their wine tasting lounge. With events happening at least twice a month in their tasting room, they always have something going on so you can go and mingle with you Apollo Beach Friends and neighbors.

I brewed two batches of wine with Southshore Uncorked and had great success. If you want something cool to do with friends… try making a batch of wine together or trying an event! You’ll love it!

We were visiting Florida for the sailboat races and found this wonderful wine place where we tried many of their wines! Great people that run the place. The lady that makes the wine let us taste many. We got a nice red wine to share at the docks while watching the racing boats sail in.

This joint is a Winery In Name Only. They bulk purchase those DIY wine kits that are available online for less than $ 80 — boxes with juice, yeast, chemicals — and then you «make» it at their store. This process involves tap water, stirring, and then waiting for like a month. If you ask, they’ll tell you all about what megagrowers they buy their grape juices from, and how each kit is measured to make precisely six gallons of wine. It’s as middle-​man a place as you could possibly imagine, but I guess if you can’t store a kit in your garage, their food-​certified metro racks are as good a place as any.
The retail shop sells the same winery tchotchkes as every other winery on the planet, so if you need a single-​bottle holder with a little dog on it, I guess you could get that here (or Costco, or Target, or Circle K, or…). Decent prices if you’re drinking on-​site, though.
