Automated machine coffee in a gated community’s snack bar. Coffee snobs, steer clear.

I was looking for a place in Riverview that I have never visited before that would be open and serving breakfast on the Memorial Day Holiday. I was happy to find a nearby restaurant using the Unilocal App of course. I read others review and then called the restaurant up to confirm they were opened. And they were. As i drove up to the restaurant I was impressed with the exterior. It is neatly situated near the entrance to the Waterset Community. I walked into the restaurant and was equally impressed with the décor. This place as a nice café with a small kitchen and a small selection of menu items. But I loved it. It is right next to the community gym and pool and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Being a Holiday they were short on staff so there was a little of a wait. We had to order at the counter, pay then find a seat. One of the hostess/server brought our food to us once it was ready. The chef also apologized to us for the wait and stated they were a little short staffed. I was so hungry but I sipped on my hot chocolate to stop the rumblings in my stomach. The hot chocolate was rich in cocoa and topped with lots of whipped cream and cocoa shavings. Finally the food came out!!! I had the Everything Omelette which had asparagus, spinach, onion, green peppers and turkey meat. I have never had an omelette with asparagus in it but oh it was so delicious. My friend had the Turkey Club and it did not disappoint. They did not serve the food with silverware but with plastic utensils even though regular dinnerware was used. I don’t know why they did but I prefer plastic anyway. We both enjoyed our meals and they both were generous portions. They also offer free wifi connection and iPads are at each both tables. We hung out for a while after eating because the ambience was so peaceful and relaxing. I will be back to try some of the other menu offerings.

If you’re looking for a change of scenery than the old faithful Starbucks, then this little gem is pretty cool. Granted it’s located at the entrance of a nice community but so what. It’s a swanky floor to ceiling glass clubhouse essentially with a lake view. There aren’t many cafes in this area to study, read, work etc. I enjoy the high seated booths and the décor. The café is pretty good. They have crepes, pastries, coffee, alcohol, smoothies, wraps etc. It’s worth a visit and I would return.

Great location, very clean stylish. They have a nice breakfast selection From omelet to fresh made waffles and fresh fruit plate. Coffee is tasty and starts at $ 2.50 It’s a great place to come, hang out and even bring small children– they have a kids section with toys.

Such a cool little hidden place! The food was amazing, probably the best French toast we’ve had. The manager and employees are so nice and hospitable. We’ll be back!

Love love love this place! It may trick you into thinking it’s not a nice breakfast/lunch café because it’s in a neighborhood community center… but I tell you you have to try it! I had the best French toast(maple bacon is the flavor I chose) that I’ve ever had in my life! Great coffee too. The gentleman who runs the café is super genuine and nice to talk to. He takes a lot of pride in his work. Beautiful view and they have outdoor seating as well, so if you bring your furry 4legged friend you can also sit and have a meal!

Great café for chilling out and having a healthy meal(get the sauces on the side, hold the cheese) or snack by the lake. They have a small variety of wine and beer, so it’s a great spot for«date night» without having to drive anywhere if you are a Waterset resident. Good variety of panini sandwiches and crepes! They don’t have a fryer, so not the place to go if you’re craving French fries. This café is inside a neighborhood, so it has a country club feel. :)

It was very hard to find a breakfast serving restaurant when we first moved to Apollo Beach. This place was a diamond in the rough and a blessing in disguise. We love the service and especially the crapes. They also have very clean dining room and iPads for kids to play with on each table

Visited this place yesterday after visiting the manatees. Searched for a near by place for something light to eat. When we reached we notice its in a living complex basically its the clubhouse of the complex. Trust me it’s worth it the scenery is amazing a lake view, magazines to read, toy area for children. My wife had a grilled cheese sandwich and myself had a angus bacon wrap. A beer for her and a café latte for me. Not a huge list of food but hey it is the clubhouse small bites is the way for to go. Beer, wine, coffee, juice and teas, as well as other liquids. So if you ever visit the manatees make sure to stop here it’s a mile and half away.

First, let me say this is a small counter service café situated between the pool and exercise room in the Waterset subdivision. I am saying this so you know exactly what to expect and also know it is not on a main drag but tucked away in a subdivision and not clearly marked. Fortunately, we have friends living in this neighborhood, otherwise would have never ventured to the café. I say fortunately because the food is great and the service excellent. It is very clean and modern and even has limited seating outside. I had the chicken salad which was a green salad mixed with chunks of chicken, grapes, raspberries, pecans and more in a delicious dressing. My husband had the Philly cheesesteak with avocado. He loved it and it looked very appetizing. They are open for breakfast and lunch and the menu has some great choices for both. The only con is they use plastic silverware, but believe me this will not keep me from going back.

«Can I have a cup of tea» — um, not so quick. The thing is, when you the customer request a cup of tea, you expect regular tea. When I ask for coffee I don’t distinguish between regular, herbal, green(ok that’s tea), and regular. I would think most people don’t when looking for a cup of tea. So it was a surprise that I had to keep telling the young lady behind the counter at the Waterset Landing Café to not pick from the following after asking for a cup of tea — herbal, green, decaf, etc. They didn’t have any regular tea apparently. I also had to be the one to tell her rather than her asking me which one I’d like. No such choice was made to me. I know, it may sound like I’m being picky and I am. I am because I wanted a simple cup of tea and ended up with Irish breakfast tea which was the closest thing to a regular cup of tea. The counter person and one of the Waterset marketing staff giggled as I left which I took as being toward me. While a bit childish in the end I don’t care about that all that much really. But, if they perchance read this remember — I may be a potential homebuyer in Waterset and you should keep that in mind. I know that the café is there for people to be impressed by Waterset and is probably a marketing tool. Oh wait, I just remembered I «AM» buying a home in Waterset and I know for a fact that the café is part of the marketing! Just get yourself a box of Tetley or Lipton tea at Publix for the next person. I can’t believe I’m the only one that wants regular tea.

This place is misleading. It’s part of the recreation area for a community. The poor girls at the counter didn’t know how to use the machines but the coffee turned out okay. I’m not sure what else is in the area but it’s okay for something small.

Love this place. Great service great food I usually go for breakfast or just coffee but I actually just go for the ambiance and chat. Manager and chef Bradley is so welcoming and very service oriented! This is my perfect location to meet friends or come on weekends for breakfast with my family.

For a small place ticked away in a clubhouse this was a good place to eat and relax. The service was friendly and fast, the sandwich I had tasted great, as did the sides, and the food presentation was very pleasing to the eyes as well. They have a great cook, prices are a bit high, but expected for this level of tasty food. The drinks were cold and kept full, and all our needs were taken care of by the staff. Serving size was large, which I like being a big guy, ha. Stop by and give them a try, you’ll be glad you did!

I never give 5 stars in a review but this café is more than deserving. Most communities that have a café/bistro offers pretty average food with more emphasis on beverages, so this was my initial expectation. But once I reviewed the menu and saw what this small café offered i was already impressed. Very simple menu with the option of ordering exactly what you want. The café is run by two persons sometimes three so you’d expect service to be average, but it was quite the opposite, with table service and one on one interaction with the staff. Most importantly is the quality of the food. Made to order, fresh and delicious. I made several visits during a three day span and the cheesesteak guacamole sandwich was the best thing that I’ve had in a long time. Cheesy, melty, lots of steak and creamy guacamole between the perfect bread. Being a Philly native, I know a good cheesesteak when I taste one.

Very surprised to find this level of service and good food in a clubhouse? Oh well Chef Bradley brought his game and passion for resort quality service and a few key recipes he creates & customizes to his patrons liking. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable come sit by one of just let fireplaces indoor or the outdoor torches overlooking the lake. I like to choose one of his flavored lattes and a delectable crêpe usually alternate between savory and sweet!

Friendly staff. Delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere. A great place for lunch! I chose the spring chicken crêpe & my fiancé chose the chicken quesadilla. Everything tasted fresh. We really enjoyed it. Can’t wait to try their chicken salad next time! The chef gave us a sample and it was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Their food is definitely not healthy. They load every plate with sauces and stuff that just make a mess of a plate. Goodness gracious, less is more! I don’t even know what I’m eating if the food is so overloaded! Never again will I eat at this place yuck!

Stuck in southshore today at the college and wanted some good coffee; didn’t think I’d find such a great place for coffee out here in the middle of no where! When you first drive up its a little bit confusing, because it looks like you might have to own a house in this development to eat here. But you don’t. The coffee I had was great, I didn’t try the food, but it looked great. The people were super friendly as soon as I walked in. A lady sitting at the bar recommended the raspberry white chocolate coffee, so I went ahead and tried it and it was fantastic. They have an area for kids, and booths where you can sit with your computer, and tons of other cool features here.

Driving through Apollo Beach, we stopped in for a snack. The menu had way more items than we anticipated, for such a small establishment. I ordered a spring chicken crêpe and it was delicious but very messy(in a greasy way) but was probably from all the sauces. The cashiers were nice, establishment was clean, and the view was great. I would totally recommend this place to anyone traveling through or living in the area.

Absolutely love this place! Sometimes it takes a while for the food to come out because they were not set up for high volume, but it’s completely worth the wait. Once a month they stay open late and offer amazing flatbreads. I wish there were a few more vegetarian options. This place is just one more perk to living in beautiful Waterset! Also, don’t miss out on the desserts they are delicious!

My favorite local brunch/lunch spot. Amazing menu offerings for the limited space they have to prepare food. Crepes(sweet and savory), quesadillas, a signature Tuscan Cuban sandwich, breakfast sandwiches served all day on fresh baked croissants. A chicken salad sandwich that made me love chicken salad! Oh, did I mention Bananas Foster French Toast?! I haven’t found anything yet that wasn’t absolutely delicious! Chef Bradley and his team are wonderful! Best kept secret in Apollo Beach, quietly hidden in a residential community. I have mixed emotions on sharing this little gem. I like that it’s quiet and laid back, hidden from the masses, but it’s too good not to share!

My husband and I had a great lunch here. It was fairly close to the Apollo Beach I-75 exit and was a nice, quiet break for a road trip lunch. I had the spring chicken crêpe and the flavor was amazing. I was happy that the fresh ingredients, like the asparagus, was plentiful. My husband had a club sandwich and he was pleased as well. Heads up-this is a café in a new housing community-located near the community pool, workout center and trails. Not your normal location, but the food was very tasty!
