Finally, a latin american place that serves very authentic appetizer-like dishes. I came to this place almost a year ago and wasn’t very pleased with the service, and since then I’ve only been doing take out because the food is delicious!!!(by the way… they are located between the Verizon store and Maryland’s Chicken place in front of the super walmart on 441 in Apopka, they DONOTHAVE A SIGN you can see off of the street) This past Friday we decided to go and give them another try. The service was way better, it’s a family owned place, the daughter was taking the orders and the mom was cooking. We were greated immediately and our drinks were brought out fast(they have a soda fountain, but they fill up your first drink and from then on you can get your own refills). We ordered 4 pupusas: 2 beans, 1 chicken &1 loroco, the loroco one was our favorite! We also had the platanitos & crema appetizer and loved it. We love hot sauce and I remember asking them for hot sauce on our very first visit and they didn’t have any ;(however, this time they had a sauce they make in-house… It was amazing !! Just the right amount of heat. We’ve had the tamales, the tajadas dish, the pastelitos, the tamalitos de elote. One of the best parts is the authentic cheeses & cremas(Latin American sour creams). They are finger licking good! There are many things on the menu that remind me if my childhood in Honduras, like the taquitos and the tajadas dish. My husband grew up in Guatemala and he was thrilled to see chuchitos(small tuffed tamales) & rellenitos(stuffed ripe plantain nuggets) on the menu. We have to go back for those dishes.
