the calzone was really good! but the cheese pizza was not that great… it was very oily and there was too much cheese. When i bit into the pizza the cheese just fell off Also the service was extremely slow

I am so sad because my husband and I were really looking forward to a good meal after visiting our new grandson at the hospital and we were very disappointed. My husbands first beer selection was unavailable so he had to settle for his second. Then he ordered the Chicken Parmagiano and the chicken tasted like it had been reheated a few times. He even had me try it to see if maybe he was mistaken. He was not mistaken the chicken was overdone and flavorless. I will say that customer service was good. No problems there.

My family went here today for Mothers day. It is not our first, second or even third time. We like supporting locally owned establishments, and hope they will not disappoint. As far as food goes, I don’t care much for their pasta, it’s nothing special. I have to add salt to the marinara sauce, not good! But I do enjoy their pizzas and salad. The house Italian dressing is amazing, although my grandma doesn’t prefer the red color. Ha ha. Today what prompted my review is our bill. And it seems that every time we walk out of this restaurant(which is less often these days), we are a little disappointed somehow. We had a party larger than 8 people so we were charged an 18% gratuity. Frankly, that is fine with me, as I normally tip even higher than that. What is not OK is that they charged the gratuity after adding the tax. Today, I was in a pleasant mood, and our server was good, so I paid the extra(although it was not correct) amount. I asked the server about the charge, and how it was applied, and she said that is the way they always do it. Well, that does not mean it is correct, and the manager/owner really needs to educate the staff on the proper way to write up the bill. Like I said at the beginning, this is not the first time we’ve been here and not the first time I’ve had issue with the bill, although I’ve not noticed this particular problem before. The last time was a discrepancy with the charge and menu price. I have no intention of counting this place out, especially since I live a mile away. But if there is an option, I don’t think this is my preference. When you nickel & dime the customers, it is not appreciated.

This place is really nothing special. The pasta is average and the salad is just salad. I would not recommend wasting my time eating at this place. Just make your own food at home.

Food is really good and service is awesome but it is a little expensive … We have a bunch of kids and when we order pizza it is over a $ 100 for four pizzas and a salad. Also you have to ask the waitress to drain the water out of ur salads if they are to go. They are swimming in water

The food here is decent but expensive for the quality compared to other local restaurants. The atmosphere is interesting but we’ve never had a decent waitress there…

This would have been five star;s but for the service. Our server was so slow, and I ended up alone at the table waiting for our check while my companion tried to get it at the cashier station. When I finally was able to flag her down and ask for a box and the check, she cleared and washed a nearby table before bringing them to me. The table was immediately needed, there were four empties nearby. The food was amazing. The potato soup was excellent. The pizza was excellent, loaded down with very generous toppings. The décor is wonderful, something new everywhere you look.

This poor place seems to have gone down hill. We have ordered-out several times recently and have been less than impressed. We kept thinking the lackluster quality of the food was a one-off and wanted to give the place another chance. It’s really just mediocre food, though. Most recently we ordered two medium pizzas for take-out off of the menu posted on the Dinapoli’s website. The bill came to over $ 40 dollars. Over. Forty. Dollars. For two medium-size pizzas. That’s it! No apps or salads or even drinks. And one pie was a thin-crust and the other had two toppings. When my husband questioned them about the difference between what he was charged and the prices listed on their website menu he was told the website only«refreshes every two years» and that’s why it doesn’t reflect the current prices. Whaaaat? Needless to say, we won’t be ordering-out or eating-in here anymore. And it’s a shame, on many levels.

The food, the service, the décor… amazing! This is one of our go to for Italian. Every time we have been here the service has been outstanding, and the portions generous and delicious. And the Cannollis are true, not all the light and fluffy garbage they try to pass off as authentic in a few other places… If you are in the area, give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The shrimp primavera was great but for 15 bucks I would think I would get more than 5 shrimp. Overall delicious. I’ll be back, just order something else.

Terrible awful service. What happened to this place? We used to love it but no more. The food took forever to get to the table and we went without a drink for a good half hour. Won’t be back.

No. Just no. I beg you, Mr. DiNapoli, please change your recipes. Chicken parm tastes like cardboard with pepper. This is not Brooklyn Italian.

In this little dinky strip mall is this Italian restaurant. I’ve gotta say, tho I wish they had lunch specials(I’m a cheapskate), the lunch here was great. My mother opted for a personal pizza, my brother a calzone, and I went for the stromboli. The food was delicious and tasted exactly like you’d hope. AND, the servings are huge. So you more than get your money’s worth when eating at this establishment. Definitely one of the better places to eat in Apple Valley.

Dinapoli’s is one of those places that has seemingly been around forever. The last time I ate here was back in the 90’s(crazy, right?) and I recall not being overly impressed with our meal, but that was long, long ago, so… I wanted to get a calzone to split with my daughter after work. I called Dinapoli’s and, voila! Fifteen minutes later I’m heading home with a hot calzone. The young ladies at the register were super friendly, so the staff that I dealt with gets a thumbs-up, and the décor in the restaurant is pretty awesome. The calzone itself was so-so. One of the reasons my daughter loves calzones is the lack of sauce. Finding that the calzone had sauce inside was pretty disappointing. The calzone had LOTS of cheese, which was great, but It was supposed to be double pepperoni, and I know my half was pretty lacking in the meat department(my daughter said hers was good, so maybe all the pepperoni ended up in her half). There was also an issue with the amount of crust, as in there was too much. Having a good three or four bites left of just crust(essentially a whole corner of the calzone) was another disappointment. I think we need to actually go, sit down, and eat a meal here for me to really give this place a fair shake, but for this quick visit, average is the verdict.

Above average Italian American restaurant. Reminds me of Italian food I grew up with in NYC. The sauce is good and thick. Went with 2 other family members. I ordered the eggplant Parm and Veal parm with a side of spaghetti. My spouse ordered the lasagna, and my nephew ordered ravioli, Food is southern Italian cuisine. Plenty of parking. The Service was just okay, nothing to rave about. prices are a bit high for this type of Italian food. I would go back when I visit the area again.

Growing up in NY I have some idea of really good Italian food. It’s all about the sauce and DiNapolis has a very good sauce. Tried the Italian Stromboli and tasted the spaghetti and meatballs and both I would rate above average. Good portions and looks like a fun place.(my order was to feed an office so I didn’t get to take in the ambience of the restaurant) They have a fire truck in the restaurant and fire fighting stuff everywhere with a big NY theme. I would go here again.
