Optician was polite; the thing that really bugged me was that they had a small selection and wouldn’t measure my PD unless I purchased from them, meaning I need to choose from what they have or find another store. I can’t buy online. If they are losing business due to online competition then they should offer better selection, service, or competitive pricing — refusing to provide a service just means I won’t go back there(and that I’ll leave a review letting others know).
