The food is fine, haven’t really had any complaints. The service on the handful of times eating here has been touch and go. Most of the time our waitstaff has never smiled or made small talk like the other location in town. We were even treated differently after trying to cut a polite joke with our server. But as she ended up being our cashier at the end of our meal suddenly became very chatty and friendly telling us about Facebook contests and such. I tend to only stop with friends, as my family doesn’t care for this location for some reason.

With all of the reviews saying how great the food is not sure if it was just a bad night maybe a trainee cooked our meal or we just pissed someone off, but this was the worst meal we had in a while. My daughters cheeseburger had a stale bun and it goes downhill from there. I got a bowl of chili which was not even to the level of Wendy’s. The wife ordered cheese and broccoli soup and salad. When we got our entrées we were told no cheese and broccoli, had we known that from the start she would have ordered a burger but since the entrées were out she just ordered the chicken dumpling. BIG mistake. Barley any chicken, no dumplings, and a full cup of salt. This was uneatable. My steak sandwich was cooked well but apparently they felt the need to store it in the freezer before bringing it out. Sent this back and they made a new one. Mistake #2, second one came out raw, picture provided doesn’t highlight the glowing red off the steak. Funny thing is we had the kitchen cut it in half so my wife had something to eat, how they sent this out bleeding is unacceptable. We left hungry and wife had Cheerios that tasted better than anything we ate at Cinders. Service was good although for as much that was wrong they should have compensate far more than $ 5. Wasn’t going to bicker with them as we needed to go home and eat. Unfortunately won’t be back.

This is normally one of our favorite places. However, today when we ordered steak sandwiches, the bun was very dry. The bun crumbled as soon as you took a bite. We ordered our sandwiches medium-rare and we got them medium-well. There was no pink in the middle what-so-ever and the sandwich tasted very dry. The server was nice and friendly… checked on us periodically and the dining room was clean. Just disappointed in the quality of the steak sandwiches.

This location of Cinders is our go to restaurant. The food is always good and so is the service. My wife and I always order the steak sandwich, which taste great and is also a great value. It even comes with unlimited fries. We have had several servers and all of them have been great. This is a great local restaurant. When we’ve ordered for take-out, our order has always been ready under 10 minutes.

Excellent rib eye. Excellent service. Kids loved their meals. Will be back many times. Great value as well. All meats locally sourced from Haen’s. Can’t go wrong there.

I was in the area for business and hadn’t heard of this chain so I gave it a try. Nice cozy atmosphere in the dining area and you can see the kitchen and all the goings on back there so there was free entertainment! I tried the bacon cheeseburger soup on this friged night and it hit the spot. Large chunks of tomatos, ground beef, etc. I also tried the veggie delight basket which included: fried zucchini, cauliflower, mushrooms, onion rings and cheese curds. They were all good but the mushrooms were my least favorite. The consistancy of them were a little mushy after frying. I would definately choose to come back here over the national chains in the area if I had a chance.

Straight from the grill, that’s how it’s been for 30+ years. Need more? Read below… This is my favorite Wisconsin restaurant! So many classic Wisconsin dishes such as steak sandwiches and fish fry but also contemporary meals such as Caribbean jerk chicken. Make sure you get the cris cuts with sour cream and have a wisco beer from the bar. Need I add that you will be dining under hanging weber grills custom made for lighting? Run to Cinders, now!

I went for a Friday fish fry with my family. They are all from here, and they know Cinders well. They recommended the Whitefish all you can eat. It was more than what any one of the five of us could eat. Tender, hot, went down well. Service was on pace with a busy restaurant, The price was in line with other fish fries I have been to. Their burgers are great, toasted flaky buns, generous burger size, smoked just right.
