Mr Taco

The Mr. Taco food was constantly parked right in front of where I used to work, or their store front was just a small walk down College Ave. I loved everything I would try there, but my favorite was their steak quesadilla. It is greasy, messy and delicious and really decently priced.

As a former California girl, I thought I’d have to leave authentic Mexican food behind when I came here. In the eleven years I’ve been in Wisconsin, this is the first real Mexican restaurant I’ve found since I’ve been here. The prices are very good, the food is spectacular and the staff is wonderful. The place is tiny, so don’t expect white tablecloths. Sit on down at the counter, try a lengua burrito or one of their excellent tacos and a Jarrito; and leave your hoity-​toity-​ness behind. They’ll chat with you while they prepare your meal fresh. You won’t regret coming here.

Vey fresh and tasty. Visited area on a business trip and visited twice. First trip I had enchiladas and second was the burrito. Tasty, ample street parking, and very small joint. Quick service, cooked in front of you, and friendly people.

A late night stop for sure.
I found the food better than expected for a late night snack, but I won’t go so far as to call it great. The place itself is tiny and is better suited to grab and go than eat in.

It was our first time eating from here (recommended by a friend) and it was very good. I loved that it was a hole-​in-​the-​wall place. You could tell the owner/​cook was there because they loved to make food. Definitely will go back as it was delicious and decently priced.

This was our first visit to Mr. Taco, but will not be our last! The service was quick and helpful as I do not claim to be an expert in Mexican cuisine they were very helpful in answering questions that we had. The house margarita was delicious! Great food, drinks and service. Can’t wait for warm weather to enjoy the patio!

I had not Been here before. Walked in and ordered some tacos. Walked out to my car. Ate tacos. Got out my car walked back in to Mr Taco and ordered more tacos. You guys get some tacos yum!!!

GREAT salsa (spicy!), decent prices, and carne asada did not have any fat or tough pieces like most other restaurants do. The inside has a couple of tables but it’s just easier to sit at the bar and order as you please. Not sure if they sell beer but is located right next door to a bar. They have a soda selection that includes a variety of both Pepsi products and «Jarritos» brand.
