I was actually pretty impressed with how good my sandwich was. The venue is pretty big and the price wasn’t much($ 6 – 8.50 max). I liked the grapes on the side and the 1⁄3rd of a pickle slice you get. It did take longer than I thought to get but it was pretty good! I don’t know how I feel about the electronic screen asking for tips when all they do is just bring you the food.

I love this place for soup and a sandwich! Every time I pass through Appleton, I make it a point to come here for lunch and the Stone Cellar for dinner. They have a good selection of delicious soups and tasty sandwiches, as well as satisfying coffee and espresso beverages.

Very delicious food. You get your money’s worth here. It costs roughly $ 8 for a sandwich(I had a panini). They have unique chips there as well. They have a kettle chips that are beer flavored by sprechers. I highly recommend it. The staff though were decently friendly. There was a couple times they did not notice me at the register because of the huge displays blocking their view. Still, if you are looking for delicious food and want to try something new, this is the place to go.

I liked this place as soon as I came. Nice atmosphere and clean. Nice menu. You order at the counter. Then they bring it to you. They serve Boarshead products. I opted for the Mozzarella and Tomato panini. It also has on it yummy basil. You place your order and sit down. They bring it to you. Service was prompt. I found this place here on Unilocal. I am glad I came.

Came in mid afternoon on Friday. There was only one person eating and one employee. He seemed to be running between making food, taking orders at the counter and taking phone calls. This made it a bit of a wait for the food, but it was understandable. The food was great as it is every time we visit. The consistent gripe we have is that the tables always seem to be dirty, which leaves us searching for one that has the least amount of mess left by the previous patron. This time it was understandable with there only being one employee. The other gripe is there are always flies buzzing about. We had to speak up and compliment the individual for busting his butt as he began wiping down tables after the rush. We got a kind of ‘meh’ attitude and answer back. If it’s true Fridays are the busiest day, I suggest a 2nd employee to help out.

This place has wonderful sandwiches and salads! It’s a great spot for lunch, as you can order a half size of the sandwiches and pair with chips and a drink. I’ve tried several different items on their menu, and they’ve all been terrific.

I moved here from Milwaukee a few years ago, and one of the things I truly miss are the gourmet grocery stores selling Boar’s Head deli meats. This is the only place that I’ve found north of Grafton that you can buy Boar’s Head deli meats/cheeses. So I go there for the excellent sandwiches but I can buy my deli meats there too.

I was happy to discover this place via Unilocal. This is one of those joints which without Unilocal I would have never eaten there, because as a visitor to the area, who could find anything in the sprawl of Appleton without the Internet?. And this place is in some remote strip with a bunch of businesses I didn’t need. In any case, New York Deli is a satisfying find in the midst of large chains all around, and it has some personality that’s welcome. I had the Ruben, which was well recommended. It was good, but it didn’t blown me out of my socks or anything. I had a Sprecher soda(yum) and the sandwich came with some grapes and a pickle. Decent side. I also had a taste of the soup and that was quite hearty, especially on a cold day. I think if I returned I’d get one of their club-type sandwiches… those looked really good. The atmosphere here is relaxing, airy with a pretty good amount of seating. New York Deli is a great place for lunch. It’s a little more expensive than your average fast food but the quality is way better. It’s important that Appleton has something other than massive chains.

What a charming little deli and it is definitely a nice find in Appleton. The first time I came here, coworkers wanted to go to Jimmy John’s for lunch. I’m a bit against chain places when traveling as I want to try what the locals have to offer. After a little arm twisting and as well as me twisting their boring tongues to try something different, we ended up trying New York Deli. To our surprise, the place was a delight. The inside was modern and inviting. The menu looked interesting with assortment of salads, soups, sandwiches and paninis with ingredients that are outside just the regular turkey, ham, and roast beef. Plus, even with that robust menu, they still have daily specials. They also serve espresso type drinks. Perfect. We all loved our sandwiches. I had a prosciutto and tomato panini that I loved. The only thing I don’t like about paninis, they tend to scratch the roof of my mouth. It hurts. Today, I opted for grilled cheese panini and the tomato florentine soup for lunch. Dipping the panini into the soup made it a bit soft and the roof of my mouth is unscathed. The panini and soup were so comforting in this gloomy Fall day. It was a nice break from work. I am surprised that this place is not as busy as it should be as both the food and service are great. I hope more people will come and discover how fantastic this little deli is.

I thought the food her was below sub par, and way to expensive. Guess because it’s called the New York Deli, it comes with New York prices. Portion sizes were a joke, extra charges for sides, processed chicken… need I say more. Don’t waste your time, you can get much better«Deli» elsewhere.

Hadn’t been here for at least 10 yrs… went back recently and it was awesome! Clearly things have changed since I was last here My new place to obsess about. The buffalo chicken sub was awesome, the bacon-lettuce-tomato-avacado sandwich was awesome! And I ordered a pound of the pastrami turkey deli meat to go, which was. can you guess– awesome. Totally making this a regular sandwich place, yes a little more pricey but so good and such a variety.

This used to be my favorite place, food is outstanding but a little pricey. Staff is always pleasant and welcoming. My complaint is the food preparers don’t wear gloves!!! Cousins wears gloves, Jimmy Johns wears gloves, Subway wears gloves. NY Deli management — please, please address this, I want to come back — your food is top quality. But the lack of glove wearing is keeping me away!

Try their Classic Reuben. Makes me a little gassy, but the taste is definitely worth it.

Very nice little deli hidden back in Trasino Village. $ 7 – 9 for a quick little sandwich. Fresh ingredients and very friendly staff!

Nice place, with more than the typical deli fare. I had the Turkey Apple Harvest, which was crazy good. A little pricey once you get a combo, hence the 4 stars, but then again the raw materials they use are top-shelf. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Only real deli I’ve been to here in the FV. They carry Boar’s Head and slice it your way, something the supermarkets around here do not do. Great overstuffed sandwiches.
