Vagabond Imports

The items in stock are overpriced for sweatshop imports. While that is one reason to give a one star review, a person ought not expect an import store to be particularly affordable.
The real cause of a one star review is absolutely terrible service. My wife and I often stop in here when we are in town. Usually the service is so-​so. The cashiers are not particularly helpful, and generally are disinterested in the fact that customers are in the store, usually at a level that would garner a 3 star review. However, today the cashier glared at us the entire 15 minutes spent in the store, likely because our toddler was asking questions about everything she saw in the store (what’s that? what’s this? is this pretty? can I have this?). We ultimately left without purchasing anything, because the sustained negativity made us feel wholly unwelcome in the store. For what it’s worth, we planned on doing a majority of our holiday shopping here.

I used to work here back in the late 80s when it was called Hardly Ever, and in 2013, it’s still just the same. The owners have a very distinctive, consistent taste and I always find some little thing that I like.
