Sanderlings

The food was amazing! We love the view and the outdoor fire pit. The food is little pricey but perfect for a date night. Don’t forget to stop by the bar if you are waiting to be seated. Bar is pretty chill with the live band.

My family and I came here for Thanksgiving Dinner.
We’re trying something different from the typical homecooked meal which is always amazing but taxing for my family to make every year. And celebrating at the beach is a nice break.
It was OK. The restaurant has plenty of seating with down and upstairs seating areas. They opened the upstairs event rooms so there was so much space to move around. Plus, they put out two buffets on each floor that made getting the food easy.
The service was responsive and nice, keeping our water glasses full.
The food selection was good. The good items went fast and they had troubling refilling the items that were good. Some hit and miss items, the turkey was dry and not that flavorful. Plus, somethings that were rushed out were missing some of the finishing touches.
I suggest they limit the amount of variety, keep it basic with the items, and then double up on portions so they only have to replace one thing at a time with a backup already out there.

A great meal, good service. Friends say it’s a great place to watch the sunset, but we got there a bit too late.
I had the scallops, which were cooked to perfection.
If in the area, definitely one of the better places to enjoy a meal with friends.

Two stars just for the view which was taken away from us by poor management.
We arrived on a Sunday around 5pm. Beautiful day, we asked for a seat on the patio. We were told the dinner menu wasn’t available for another 45minutes and were provided the «full day» menu.
It started off nice enough with a beautiful patio seat and view of the ocean and what seemed like great service. I ordered a Deux Fleurs drink from their menu while we contemplated snacks or wait for the dinner menu. Three servers checked in with us in very short order and we were off to a pleasant start.
Noticing the fine print on the menu that was provided to us (our only option for another 45minutes), happy hour apps were 50% off. So we decided to forego the wait for dinner and just order a number of appetizers. After submitting our order the waiter returned to inform us we could not order from the menu we were provided unless we were seated at the bar. After a short discussion we decided to relocate. :-(
Because of this terrible management policy regarding the menu’s our view of the ocean was instantly revoked and we were moved to a less desirable table with almost no attention from any of the servers.
To top it all off the chicken wings we were so looking forward to, were served half raw and what with the bad service, it took some time to notify someone of the problem. Rather than prolong what was no officially a very bad experience, we just sent the dish back.
When we received our bill, we found our terrible experience to be continuing.
Originally offered the choice of a small or large Caesar, without any notice of price difference. We chose the small as we had order 5 appetizers because of the happy hour special. Turns out the SMALL Caesar salad costs MORE than a LARGE Caesar salad during happy hour, and no one thought this point significant enough to mention.
In total, a horrible experience. Management, service and food. Which tells me the management is the root of the problem. I loathe supporting businesses that care less about their own establishments.
The view is the only thing going for this place and even then, I’m sure there is better in this area. Do yourself a favor a choose a more respectable establishment if you’re looking for a pleasant afternoon.

Breakfast this morning was amazing! Best Eggs Benedict ever! I also had the scallops over polenta last night for dinner and it was fantastic! Service was prompt and attentive.

The view outside — 5 stars.
The staff — 4 stars, pretty good.
The food — meh, its OK.
I had the new york strip steak, and it was about 30% gristle. wasn’t very impressed.
but the sunset was great to watch, outside seating here is superb.

The view is the reason to go to this place. 100%. We live nearby and go here very occasionally, when someone is visiting from out of town and we want to take them to brunch somewhere pretty.
The service is always, without fail, bad. They’ll leave you waiting so long you’ll wonder if anyone’s coming back. They’ll serve the coffee you ordered when you sat down at the end of the meal. They’ll ask you if a drink on the menu is new because they never learned what’s on it. They’ll forget to comp you the drinks they promised because you were left waiting for 45 minutes without service and add them to your bill. They are forgetful and inattentive as all get-​out. Bring a snack or don’t show up hungry.

I usually don’t leave bad reviews, well because I really haven’t had a bad experience. Today I just left Sanderlings from an early dinner and I have to say it was the worst experience ever. We waited at a table for 20 minutes for them to clean the table and then once they did we waited another 25 minutes for them to even ask us if we wanted anything to drink. They kept walking by and telling us they would be with us but didn’t even bring us menus. For the amount of money we spent to stay at this resort, please get the restaurant together or at least try and have decent service.

We’ve been here for breakfast and lunch. The weekday breakfast is especially nice. We could have split it and still had plenty. The price isn’t bad either considering the beautiful view inside and out! There is a chef garden too so you know there is an emphasis on freshness. There are weddings on the weekends, fun to watch outside.
At the bar they serve snacks and I think they have a happy hour here… I will check it out later.

I use to come to Sanderlings for their Sunday brunch buffet at least once a year but found that the quality of the selection went down while the price went up the last time we were there. Fast forward to about 5 years later and I thought about revisiting Sanderlings with my parents for a nice getaway to give it another chance. While there has been some changes where they no longer offer a soup selection or the glass of complimentary champagne or mimosa, they did offset it by lowering the price to $ 20pp which I found very satisfactory and includes tea or coffee.
The menu changes weekly but as the manager mentioned when I messaged her, there is normally 3 meat dishes (e.g. beef, fish, poultry), 2 – 3 breakfast items, 5 – 6 salad items, fresh fruit, and dessert assortment. A sample of what we had was turkey with mash potatoes, rock cod with pesto rice, braised beef flap with roasted potatoes, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, fresh melons and pineapples, heirloom tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, Greek salad, Caesar Salad, hummus with pita chips.
Since my stomach capacity is limited, I could not try everything but picked and choose so I can go back for seconds of my favorites which were the eggs benedict, heirloom tomatoes, and tiramisu mousse.
The weather was perfect making the restaurant patio seating a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful view while enjoying your brunch at a leisurely pace. No bill and fortune cookie dumped on your table an hour or less later signaling time for you to leave.

Had dinner here with family. Loved the food and the view. Had clam chowder to start and it was great. The bread the places on table was fresh baked.
I chose salmon. I like it and the eldente beans were wonderful. I was not a fan of the nioki which the salmon was on.
The Mrs. Had the special steak. It came out under cook from what she order but the waitress was very accommodating and took it back and cooked it to the way my wife likes it. I loved it. Raw.
I would come back good food and a relaxing atmosphere.
