I ordered food to go on a busy night(graduation). So after waiting 35 – 40 minutes, I was given the wrong food. Instead of waiting another 40 minutes, I just took the food they gave me. I’m pretty sure they just made me wait longer so they could try to serve the seated guests in order to get them out asap.

I was never a big fan of Denny’s until recently. Rod’s the local coffee shop has really gone downhill and this is the next closest place. Decent food, some of it excellent. Friendly service. Clean and pleasant crowd. Have come at all hours and never displeased.

I just had dinner with my boyfriend and everything seemed to go pretty good. They have very nice and friendly service. However, I ordered a simple breakfast option that included: pancakes, eggs and bacon I asked for chocolate chips to be added and the server forgot which I thought was okay because it happens Now the real thing that shocked me and could not believe is that, when I got my pancakes they tasted like a cleaning chemical… I was thinking mayb I’m wrong so I kept eating them but I had my boyfriend try them and he confirmed to me that they do taste like some cleaning chemical. I would best describe the taste of Clorox As we went to pay I left a note saying that the pancakes tasted like Clorox and left no tip. My tip to any future customers is to be aware that what u think u are tasting may be infact true even if it sounds hard to believe.

Ah, Denny’s. The prices are reasonable, the service is awesome, and the breakfast food is delicious. The lunch and dinner food is definitely not as good, and you can tell that it’s probably reheated.

What can I say but very average. The coffee, the food, the service, the price is all what you would expect from a all night diner. The one thing that stands out at the Arcadia Denny’s is the ice cream. They have WAY better ice cream than any other Denny’s I’ve eaten at. Stop in for a sunday or banana split and you won’t be disappointed.

This is my «home» Denny’s. No Denny’s in the world compares to this one, known as «windmill Denny’s» by locals. The staff here are what make this Denny’s unique. They’re just so nice and polite people who clearly love where they work. Tippy is my favorite waiter, she’s such an amazing person! She never fails to go above and beyond for her guests and her service hasn’t weakened over the years! She’s one of the reasons why I’m so loyal to Denny’s for 10+ years. Specially this location. I grew up local to this Denny’s but will drive miles sometimes just to eat at this specific Denny’s. Foods always great, portions are generous. Restaurant and restroom are both always clean. Service is quick and food comes hot and ready to eat! Love this place and definitely recommend!!!

Dennys is always the go-to place for a 2am drunk dinner. I would probably never go to Denny’s on a daily basis, because I prefer ihop instead. There was surprisingly a lot of people on a Friday night around 230am. Service is always slow because there’s only one worker that works at night. She was trying to juggle every single table at once. Food actually came out fast for once, not like super fast, but I was expecting it to take forever. I got the blueberry pancake puppies, which were actually really delicious. This is the perfect dessert for me because it comes with cream cheese on the side. The puppies were crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and actually has a nice blueberry taste to it. I will forsure get this again, it was only $ 2!!! Bacon tots: wish they could have taken out the bacon in this dish, but the bacon is already mixed into everything. I love tots so I had to try it still, I just took out the bacon which was pretty easy. It was very crispy, but I prefer regular tater tots with cheese, Yums! Boyfriend got the sampler with chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and fried jalapeños. Not a fan of the jalapeños, it’s literally like canned jalapeños that are fried. I prefer like jalapeño poppers from jack in the box. Cheese sticks weren’t too bad, bf said he loves their chicken strips. Don’t know why lol. Denny’s isn’t a place that I would crave, everything here is mediocre food, nothing very special. Only good thing is they open 24⁄7!

This place is okay for breakfast but really I go somewhere else in the city. The food and service was very average. We order to take out so I am not sure what it is like at the restaurant. This place looks pretty busy for breakfast.

Use to come here just to study because its 24 hours and never had any problems with the waitress or anyone. Today I had an extremely weird situation. I had this waitress named Susie(asian, short hair) and at first she seemed friendly and I actually tipped her well after I closed my check. I was here around 10 pm, and typically I go to Dennys to work a bit after Starbucks closes. But it appears it was almost New Years today, and she was afraid me sitting there after I closed my check will impact her tips with potential other customers coming in, since I am taking up a table. I specifically saw her pointing to me(with me working on my laptop) to her manager. Shortly, the manager came to talk to me and behaved in an extremely odd manner. Told me I have to go if I have a laptop and gave us a curfew of midnight, saying he’s expecting the place to fill up. The guy almost treated me as if I was homeless or something; trying to usher me out, and I am a working professional. Keep in mind I wasn’t behaving in any odd manner, just quietly eating and working. There was 15+ open booths when this was told. I can certainly take an excuse or hint, but you should be more upfront and courteous to your customers. The major attraction to this location is the 24 hour access; I certainly don’t think your head quarters will like this if they ever hear about this. I almost considered filing a suit for racial discrimination, but decided not to waste my precious time with those petty idiots. They are digging their own graves if they continue treating people like this. Guess its time to find another study spot!

The restaurant was busy! But I have to mention Lakiesha took great care of us at our table. Prompt, sincere friendliness, checked up on us, made sure we had everything we needed, table cleared as plates were done. Not rushed. Perfect timing. Her awesome service worth mentioning.

Had a terrible experience today at first. Needed to do urgent tax work and my favorite server Keith is here today he is always stellar in everything he does !! I asked for his section. The hostess said great she was great. I saw 2 booths opening up and asked the hostess if I could take one. She said sure. She crossed me off the list and I sat down. There was one party before me and many booths being cleared. Then this waitress appeared«Susie» I think.(Short, older asian lady with glasses) she had a big scowl on her face and she was leading a party toward my booth. So she started chiding me loudly saying«you can’t sit here you’re not in the right order» I said they told me that I could and she said no no no no no no no you can’t. So she was practically yelling until I finally just got up I talked to the manager he was aware that my name is crossed off the list and he apologized. I got another booth but I needed one with a plug and in my friends section and this woman made in already hard holiday time extremely emotional and difficult it was completely needless drama. She could have quietly gone up and checked with the manager and a hostess but instead she chose to make it a bad scene in front of everybody. I feel like I was completely in the right. As I am watching her now I see her bossing other people around, and gesturing to bus boys and such she seems like a control freak. She should not be in a job where she interacts with people. Keith of course saved the day he is always polite professional and amazing. People should ask for his section when they come in. With the exception of this one woman the staff is pretty good. The food at this particular denny’s is pretty good but the service is what makes or breaks it. Keith was great. But you should avoid Susie if you come to this particular location unless you like being yelled at and bossed around.

I’ve always been a fan of Denny’s and my experience here was no different. We were thrilled that they were open on a holiday, plus no wait. Our server Eliezer was really hardworking and made sure to check up on us several times during our meal. Clearly, it was a busy day but he was really on it! We always appreciate great, friendly service when we dine out. It was not only Eliezer but the whole team that worked here Thanksgiving night was really awesome to us.

I like this Denny’s after a good workout late at night when I leave 24 Hour Fitness. If you come here enough the people will know you by name and have your order remembered if you get the same thing. The food is good and hits the spot at late hours. Everyone is amazing and Patty is a favorite to everyone.

We were here a few weeks ago and my wife found a bee in her omelette. We couldn’t believe it. We immediately notified our waitress who contacted her manager. The manager was apologetic and gave us $ 10 off our bill. We were so grossed out and didn’t think to take a picture. Glad we saw it before taking a bite!

We were here for a friend’s birthday. Got here at 11:30pm and we weren’t seated until 12pm, which was fine because we asked for a large table for 7 people. They have too many booths(4 people max) but only a few tables. Badly designed. Anyhow, we were eventually seated and ordered. The food did not come out until 1pm. Extremely slow. Besides that, sunny side up eggs were undercooked. How can you even mess that up? Beef and bacon in the salad were cold. Strawberry lemonade had way too much syrup, pretty much turned the drink into jello. Disgusting. Staff were okay, but obviously understaffed. Horrible cooks.

Overall: I like Denny’s, but the service here was terrible. How can the service in Arcadia be better than the one in Riverside… I’m not implying anything… but seriously the Riverside’s location service is 5 star compared to here. *You kidding* Parking: There is a parking lot in the back. Interior: There are booths… Service: Okay, time for me to rant a bit. Our waitress. Oh dear goodness. Friend: «I would like to order the Egg in the Basket along with the Hush Puppies» Waitress: *write down order* «And you?» Me: «A Grand Slam Slugger please» Waitress: «Ok.» *turns around half way* *umm…aren’t you suppose to ask how we want our eggs to be cooked? I mean my friend ordered the EGG in the basket. EGG… it’s even in the name. And me… coffee or juice?(since the menu says it comes with it) how the egg should be cooked?* Me: «Excuse me, I want my eggs to be scrambled» Waitress: «Ok.» *starts walking away* Friend: *calls after her«and I would like mines medium» When she came back, I asked if for a glass of juice. I just thought it was horrible service. Refills… will have to wait. Maybe I’m used to the Riverside one. Anyways… wait what? Food: Typical Denny’s food. I enjoyed the pancakes. The sausage and bacon and hashbrown are a bit oiler. Price: They have the $ 2, $ 4, $ 6, $ 8 value menu that I love. Good deals on there! Ratings: 2. I think its a bit ridiculous about their service. And oil. Sorry.

This particular location has been here for many years. One of the things that I have always liked is that there is never a huge wait and the parking lot in the back has plenty of parking. As far as the food, it’s Denny’s so even though they do serve a variety of different food, to me it’s always been a decent breakfast joint. Your food comes out fast and the prices are very fair. I like that they have two types of regular coffee, the regular and the bold. The bold will put hair on your tongue. If you need it to stay awake it’s the perfect choice. Lately I’ve been on a low salt type of diet along with lesser calories. Their menu does offer a few plates that are built to be under 550 calories. If calories aren’t an issue I like the«build it yourself slam». You can add bacon, sausage, hash browns and a lot other stuff for just $.99 per item.

The employees were friendly and our food tasted fine. I ordered the peanut butter cup pancake combo and my boyfriend ordered the salmon plate. His salmon was a little dry, the portions of our food could have been better, and our food took a while to come out; but our experience was decent overall. Look for coupons in your mail/weekly ads!

The best laid plans of Mice and Ben… we got the shut-out at Gate 8 of Santa Anita, our plans to breakfast at Clocker’s Corner roundly denied thanks tothe onslaught of visitors to Arcadia for the Breeder’s Cup. Since my colleagues and I still needed to meet– and now, relatively quickly with the encroaching bell that signaled the start of the day at our respective schools, we adjourned to the local Denny’s at the corner of Santa Anita and Huntington… a building with nearly as much history as the racetrack itself. As a kid, I remember driving past the giant windmill atop the Van de Kamp’s bakery restaurant. There was a time many years ago when an electric motor turned the blades of the windmill– an effective deterrent to pigeons, I would imagine. Now, it stands in motionless, silent vigil to a simpler time in Arcadia. The proximity of this Denny’s to nearby Arcadia Park, and the crossroads of two major public bus routes(Santa Anita and Huntington Drive) makes this restaurant a magnet for psuedo-homeless, older folks with seemingly nowhere else to be, and a smattering of working folks. In fact, all are welcome to loiter in front of and all around the building. While the«$ 1.99 are you outta’ your MIND?» promotion for Grand Slam breakfasts is long gone, the 2÷4÷6÷8 dollar menu offers a few choices for every budget. Steak and eggs is north of $ 14. Things seem more expensive than the value you’re going to get. My two eggs, pancakes, and a sausage and piece of bacon were all … small. Were those quail eggs? For $ 4, I thought I’d get out with a fiver; nope, $ 2.00 for bottomless coffee. I might have drank my money’s worth, were it not for the bottomless pit into which our server seemed to fall after dropping off our plates. There is a small, lizard-like reptile called the Tuatara, endemic to New Zealand and surrounding small islands. Because it is the last surviving member of an ancient reptilian lineage reaching back 200 million years, it is sometimes called a «living fossil.» Such is Denny’s. It is a remnant of a different time, when you probably couldn’t taste your eggs anyway because of everyone smoking Pall Mall’s in your general vicinity at the counter. I’m sure that there are enough senior citizens, late-night post-club drunk twentysomethings, and angry drifters to keep this place afloat into perpetuity. But in a megalopolis like ours, with countless other breakfast options within a couple of miles, a couple of bucks, and couple orders of magnitude measuring food quality… my visits here will be few and far between at best.
