This place has really good paninis! Even better than Urtth Caffé’s! Employees are super nice too

I always been looking for a coffee shop to study at because I always go to boba shop. Dang this coffee shop is spot on. First of all as you walk in, there are many seats and tables for people to study and the tables are squared. Secondly, the atmosphere inside is pretty nice, the light not too bright and not so dim… just right. Although there are not that many outlets, come early because there are only three tables with outlets to charge your laptops, phones, etc. Coming inside, I feel not at home but really content with how simple the place looks. It does not need to be super extravagant, simple is good already. I also think that it is pretty cute because there are decorations that matches with the color of the walls and the lighting in the room. I usually come early in the morning so I am always greeted by Maggie. She always say«Hi welcome!» To start off with customer service, you definitely need to start saying hello to the customers. Also the way she handled her customer service is pretty on par because she smiles and also tries to remember the customer’s name. She also is very attentive with what the customer wants and gives great recommendation Not just her but I would say everyone is friendly! To start off with what to get, I usually get the Red eye(black coffee with a shot of espresso). The black coffee in general is very strong and to make it stronger, espresso pushes the taste to another level(this is with no sugar). If I have my cheat days, I would get the mocha latte because I love chocolate. I also recommend the organic sumatra or hazelnut because it is always brewed so well! For food, though it is pricey I would start off with the breakfast wrap because it is wrapped very nicely. Also, everything inside is flavorful! There’s always a crunch from the salad which makes it taste fresh. Overall, I say this place is great! There is wifi, comfortable seating though no sofas which is alright, and very nice workers! I would recommend this place to my friends if they need some place to study that is a coffee shop. They also have a coffee card which you could load your account if you go there regularly so if you forget cash and load up your card, you do not have to pay forty cents to cover the credit/debit charge,

My it spot for Chai Tea Latte! Way way WAYY, 100x better then Starbucks. You can actually taste the flavor. I highly recommend this spot for Chai Tea Latte, that’s what I order whenever I am here. Not saying that their other drinks aren’t good, I tried a few of their other drinks but I still think Chai is the best. Their Chai overall is way better then a lot of other places. I also love how there is NEVER a long wait, go in, order your drink, wait a few mins and your drink is ready to go. Suggested: always load up on their member card, so when you arrive you dont need to take out your wallet. Just give them your phone # and they will deduct it from there. Very convenient and easy.

Located near a grammar school, we were surprised to see the entire café almost empty. Service was very friendly. Plenty of parking nearby. I had a Soy Cappuccino– tasty hot coffee, foam was average, granted it was soy. It paired well with the fresh red velvet cupcake. The outdoor seating which includes benches in the rear is a huge plus. They also have free Wi-Fi.

Came on a Sunday to study/work with some colleagues. Not enough outlets, but they have a nice outdoor sitting area perfect for group work. Just make sure your laptop is fully charged before going here. I’ve heard it’s busier on the weekdays, but Sunday had a great productive vibe. Coffee hit the spot and the veggie wrap and pastries were good, too.

Quite, cozy, and loving the atmosphere. Food portions are good! Price is kinda of reasonable. First time here, and spent 5 hours catching up with a high school friend. Looked like people were slowly walking I. And out. I felt like we had the place to ourselves. This place has been open for 5 years?! No way…

I live pretty close by and love the cute location. I was excited to try this place bc of Unilocal.I blindly ordered the lavender coffee seeing a yummy pic. but it must have been the grossest coffee I’ve ever had. Barely any hint of lavender and it tasted burnt. I rarely drink coffee so it may just be for coffee addict taste buds. But I couldn’t even finish a quarter of the 16 oz even though I need it to study(probably the only time I drink coffee is during exam week). 2 stars because customer service was good and I’m willing to try other things off their menu. Maybe the white choc mocha or snickerdoodle, even green tea latte. No line especially compared to Starbucks! Only 2 parties there when I came in. So I’m down to come here to study if I like their other items.(Wi-fi with minimum purchase of $ 3). Hopefully I can write a better review next time.

I used to go to here every day after school about 10 years ago so now that I’m working it becomes a lot easier for me to visit this nice little coffee shop in the mornings before work. I came in with pretty leveled expectations since I hadn’t been there in forever. I ordered a spinach egg wrap because that seemed pretty appetizing on its own. I also ordered a large latte in order to meet the $ 10 minimum for using a debit card so in total I spent about $ 11 on breakfast. When the wrap arrived I won’t lie, it looked rather promising. I usually eat breakfast at home but since it was a Friday I wanted to see if I could get anything a little more special than my routine eggs and toast. I was very disappointed. I spent $ 6 on a dinky wrap that I could’ve purchased at Trader Joe’s for half the price(which I actually did right after I left). The spinach and egg wrap came with tomatoes, feta cheese and LETTUCE. The lettuce came from closer to the base of the lettuce head as it was very crunchy and really did not complement the eggs and the spinach. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever had spinach AND lettuce in the same sandwich/wrap. In addition to all this the wrap was dripping water(?) and the eggs were rather blackened. I’m not sure if they were burned or peppered but I didn’t want to find out. Usually if I don’t like a sandwich I’d still try to eat the meat whether it be ham, turkey, patty or in this case, egg. This time I chose to leave it alone. Maybe the spinach and egg wrap isn’t their specialty but I was hoping after 10 years I’d at least leave the café with a reason to come back.

Starting off the year with one of my favorite hobbies… which is finding new coffee shops to explore. Found this place accidentally while staring outside from inside The Book Rack store. Credit cards: Accepted, but there’s a $ 10 minimum. The surcharge is $.40 if it’s under the minimum. Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi user name is HYPERCOFFEE. Wi-Fi password is on the receipt. Coffee special: $ 1.60 until 9:30pm Location/Parking: Across the street from Boiling Point. Parking is available in the back(no limit) and along both sides of S. 1st ave and Bonita St.(2 hour limit during the day time). Ambiance/Décor: Didn’t expect this place to have a homey feeling when you are inside and subtle music playing in the background. Decent amount of seatings inside, three or four tables in the front of the shop, and a outdoor patio in the back. Great place to catch up with family and friends. Also, a great study place. :) Service: Helen(owner) was very friendly, attentive, informative of the coffee that I was getting, and efficient with the drinks. Lunch Specials: Monday-Friday from 11am-3pm. 3 different panini’s to choose from every day which comes with chips/salad and tea(green, passion fruit, or black tea)/soda. No substitutions. Great value! Food: So far I tried two sandwiches… 1) Turkey Pesto Panini on wheat lunch special…$ 8.59 with tax included. I chose salad and green tea to come along with the combo. The sandwich was small, but the quality of the sandwich overshadowed the small blemish(size of the sandwich). The salad(came with edible flowers and balsamic vinagrette on the side) and the green tea(came in a cute small tea pot) made the meal satisfying. 2) Chicken Basil Pesto Panini on sourdough lunch special…$ 7.99 with extra salad…$ 1 more. I was finally able to try their chicken basil pesto and thought the sandwich was absolutely delightful! The diced chicken breast was tender. The basil pesto sauce, roma tomatoes, and provolone cheese complimented the sandwich well. Drinks: Got the 12oz iced coffee of the day… $ 2.45. That day they were roasting Pasquini’s Organic Sumatra. The coffee was what I needed to jump start my day. The 12 oz. hot mocha coffee… $ 3.80 was solid also. It wasn’t sweet and could actually taste the coffee. Will definitely come back and try their most talked about chicken cordon bleu.

** I only got the Lavender Latte ** But hot damn was this good! It tasted like coffee with lavender… Exactly what it should taste like. Not too overwhelming with the lavender. Perfection in a cup! I was in the area because my moms eye doctor is down the street and already I’m looking forward to coming back!

Let me just start off by saying that the lady working the register is so salty! It was fairly obvious by her tone of voice that she did not want to be there. First impression is key, and they did not give me a good one. If it’s your first time, and you ask for recommendations, I expect you to give me your recommendations OR popular drinks purchased by customers instead of an eye roll and the silent treatment. But, that’s that. I ordered the chicken pesto, which was 5⁄10. Decent, but not the best. I suppose you can’t go wrong with a sandwich. Also got the Full Moon latte, which is vanilla and honey. The flavor tastes nasty at first, but you get used to it after a few sips. It was quite delicious after that. The cup was cute. It’s also VERY loud in here. I guess it was because it was when the school nearby got out of class, but it was perhaps a zoo in there at around 3PM. I recommend you go before 2:30PM or after 5:00PM

Since I didn’t want Starbucks or any other chain, I found the closest small business to where I was staying for my daily caffeine fix. The low score on Unilocal didn’t deter me, I wanted to know for myself and believe I can honestly say that the less than stellar reviews prolly don’t have much to do with the offerings as it does other things… I ordered the full moon and because I had been warned that all their drinks tended to be overly sweet, I asked for mine to be less sweet. She made the drink quickly but didn’t offer much as to friendly conversation or explaining the drink. I’m guessing I may have made a fatal error because when I got it, there was no sweetness and I couldn’t even tell if there was honey in it or not. :(it was still good but not earth shattering. Things I didn’t like… They have a minimum $ 10 sale in order to use a credit card or if you are cashless as I was, then I was charged an extra .40 cents! What!?! In this day and age? In the middle of shop lined street? That’s just a bit ludacris in my opinion, especially with things like PayPal, square, and other cheaper conversions for cash registers. I dunno, this was just a huge turnoff for me as there are plenty of other options and competition. All in all bring cash and like sweet.

Yea, they definitely don’t call this place Hyper Coffee for nothing! After I finished my lavender latte, I got my second wind and powered thru the rest of my errands before heading home. After my pedicure from Nails by Ann(two shops down from here) — I popped in here to get a lavender latte. I ended up getting a 12oz Iced Lavender Latte for $ 3.70. The lavender fragrant was a nice smell and subtle floral after taste. Added with a pinch of cinnamon, it made for a refreshing pick me up drink. I will say, for a 12oz, it was a bit pricey. However, I wont rule them out. Service was quick and friendly. Next time, I’ll try out their chicken pesto panini sandwich. It looks pretty appetizing and a favorite among regulars.

Gem of a little neighborhood coffee shop serving good french or Colombian coffee, nice selection of pastries, breakfast, paninis, wraps(even salads!) and specialty hot & cold coffee drinks. Plenty of parking in the area and a nice interior seating area plus some sidewalk seating and the cool thing — a nice shades grassy outdoor patio if you wanna take off the flip flops to feel the grass under your feet. The service is great here. Super friendly and the coffee very good. If you have it there they will serve it to you on one of those old school ceramic blue mugs. Very cool! And keeps the drinks hot longer! Strong wireless as well. Nice to see shangri la teas here too — especially over ice! They also have a nice selection of snacks(think oatmeal, bars, todi snack packs, etc. A really cute eclectic coffee and tea spot. Support your local little independent coffee houses! Yes I like sbux but those are for quick coffees on the run — this place rocks as a place to have a slow cup of joe and to relax. Glad to see this place in old town Arcadia right across from the boiling point. And also just down the street from bento-ya and spiced thai kitchen — all independent little unique gems.

Hyper Coffee has a huge selection of coffee-based concoctions, ranging from the nuttin’ honey to snickers to lavender lattes. The drinks tend to be on the sweeter side but offer many options. They can also please the non-caffeine drinker with a selection of fruit smoothies and hot chocolate, and offer light fare for those that are hungry. There is a small breakfast menu, but I prefer the lunch menu, which has the standard selection of salads, wraps, panini, and sandwiches. The pastry window carries standard pastries. This place is quite peaceful before 2pm, which is when the nearby middle school ends and an influx of screaming children will arrive to get their student discounted drinks and wait for parental pickup. Plenty of tables, AC in the summer, free wifi, outlets, restrooms for customers only. I can also always count on them for a steady stream of catchy, light pop music playing overhead. Parking on the streets have a 2-hour limit, but if you park in the back of the coffee shop, there’s no time limit. This coffee shop serves its purpose for the neighborhood if you want an alternative to the big chains as it’s open at 6:30am. The tables are always clean here, and the staff very personable. My favorite part is their cute backyard patio, complete with benches, table, a small tent, and still wifi-accessible. Great place for catching up(in the afternoon) or get some work done(before 2pm).

This is a nice joint to go to if you’re in the area, and in all honesty, this place has the best lavender latte I’ve ever had so far: Lavender latte: Very fragrant and wonderful… the lavender definitely adds a floral aftertaste to the coffee, which surprisingly compliments it very well. The lavender presence is solid, though not overwhelming. Definitely a must-try. Caramel latte: Also a fave of mine. A teensy bit too sweet for me, though creamy and smooth… very comforting and delicious. The espresso itself isn’t as rich or fragrant as say, Klatch or Taza, but it was still satisfactory. Curry chicken salad: It was okay… to be honest the curry chicken was much too salty for me and I only managed to get through half of it… I wouldn’t get it again, though flavor was there. Overall, lattes are a big YAY! Though food is still up in the air. I’ll need to come back a few more times before I can raise the rating…
