I don’t remember the name of the workers I spoke to yesterday but I do remember their faces. I went in to return a pair of vans I bought for a friend that she said they were hurting her. Okay. Didn’t think it would be a problem. They inspect every inch of the shoes and said they can only exchange it because it’s been worn. My friend wore it for a few hours then took it off because it was hurting her THAT bad. If they can exchange it, I’m pretty sure they can return it. They couldn’t even give me store credit. I know they can make an exception since I work in retail. I mean, I guess they’re not about customer service or they do not like to give refunds because with an exchange, it will go back into the store, so why not just accept the return? Officially going to another journey’s store despite the drive.

Today I went to return some doc martins from the kids journeys. When I bought them I was told I could return them to any store. I stopped by the Arcadia store, and I was given the third degree as to why I was returning them. The clerk wanted to know why I didn’t go to the original journey. I said this was on my way home from work but didn’t know it required an explanation. He said it would be very complicated at kids shoes aren’t in his computer, but the same shoes were sitting right behind me. He spent a great deal of time checking with someone behind a curtain. I felt like I had done something wrong, it was implied that I was doing something wrong. The shoes were inspected and reinspected I guess to make sure they weren’t worn. I get it people do illegal things but not all people do. He tried dearly to make me exchange them, like this would make the whole thing easier for him. Honestly, I always shop at Nordstrom and this is exactly why I will continue too. Never once have they made me feel like I just stole a pair of shoes.

Employee was very polite and personable. While she rang me up she was making small talk and asking questions. Made me feel comfortable and nice. Not feeling rushed or just waiting for them to run transaction. Great service!!!

Store selection isn’t bad. I come here mostly to check whether anything I like is on sale. What makes this place slightly sketchy to me is this employee with greasy shoulder-length hair. He was an awkward flirt. His loitering behind the register and random comments even made the cashier uncomfortable.

A shoe store for the younger set. Mostly popular teen shoes, Rocket Dog, Puma, Converse. They exclusively carry the Converse High Top shoes with character designs, about $ 60. The sales guy wasn’t too friendly when we walked in initially, but warmed up when we started to ask questions. They’ll special order for you and ship for a charge.
