I had my 1^st appointment this afternoon and it was great! It was fast and easy. Upon my initial call Joyee was helpful and provided insight on my previous experience and my skin. I look forward to coming back!

This review is for Joyee only because I did not experience any other service at the Skin Loft salon. Joyee is amazing. She customized a facial just for me and really took care of me and my needs and my skin concerns, she even gave me free samples if the products she uses. I found her when I was searching an esthetical who uses Sanitas products. I really liked her technique and she is genuinely nice.

Joyee is so amazing at what she does! She communicates very well with her customers and kept me informed. I booked an appointment for a Brazilian wax and was running late. She was very understanding!
There’s parking in the back and The Skinloft is located in a room inside the salon. I waited at the waiting area for her and she called me in.
She is a natural at waxing and will talk to you throughout the entire process. This was my first time getting a Brazilian and I did not feel nervous at all with Joyee! She explained to me the process of waxing and gave me tips on how to exfoliate to remove dry skin.
She also explained that it will take a few sessions to get all the hair in the same cycle so I may notice hair growing when I just had a wax. She had a Brazilian special for only $ 29. That’s such a great deal from the $ 55 I almost paid for at another place.
I will definitely be a regular customer, she’s awesome!

My first experience here at Skinloft with Joyee was amazing! I had one of the best neck, shoulders and arms massage done by her. Total relaxation and big time stress reliever. The facial part of the experience was excellent as well. She extracted a lot of my clogged pores and was very gentle in the process. You could really tell she cares about her craft and was purposeful and gentle throughout the whole time. I would definitely recommend her to everyone I know. Top notch services. Thanks Joyee!

Joyee is an absolute sweetheart with a lot of knowledge on skincare etc. I got a custom facial with her using a LivingSocial coupon. I’m glad I found her establishment since it’s very nearby. I have yet to try her for waxing services.
Now let me give you some history:
So I don’t have sensitive skin, my face skin’s temperament is pretty normal, but I do have acne & acne scars. I used to have bad acne years ago & would get chemical peels administered by a dermatologist (mind you, I was barely a teen when I got these), so I knew what to expect from the chemical peels Joyee would apply, boy was I WRONG. Obviously my pain threshold is high so I didn’t know how much of the glycolic acid peel Joyee applied. At the moment, I felt great, I left the establishment feeling great. But that wasn’t even the start…
Now let’s get to the negatives:
My face was extremely burned the day of the facial & after, I was hoping it would go away but it only got worse. I texted Joyee & she affirmed it’ll all be ok with proper moisturizing which I did. It didn’t help much though, my face was peeling painfully & the burns got deeper, dryer, & darker. I took my mom to the doctors & he noticed my face & said I have pretty bad first degree burns on my face & he prescribed me ointment for it (mind you, that doctor’s appointment wasn’t even for me!). The burns peeled away after 2 weeks. It was a horrible experience.
BUT, my skin looked amazing after the burnt skin peeled off, I don’t know if that’s good though.
I would give 2 stars because of the ordeal, but 3 is appropriate since she is available through text & since it felt good at the moment.
I would still go to her again, but maybe request her to go less harsh on the chemicals.
I posted a picture of my forehead about 4 days after the facial, the triangular shape between my eyebrows is the peeled part of my skin. You can notice the rest of my skin is burnt, dry (wrinkly looking), & darker than the peeled part. My whole face was like this, but I’m too embarrassed to post my full face pic since I really did look horrible & ugly for 2 weeks.

So I found this place through amazonlocal deals and I have not needed to find a new waxing place! It was a sweet deal for a brazillian and I am pretty picky (as everyone should be) when it comes to cleanliness and Joycee was perfect! I saw that she does NOT DOUBLE DIP (very important when getting brazillians) and uses new materials each time. It was a blackish hard wax that she uses that i felt like cleaned me pretty well. Shes was very easy to talk to and so it made the process alot better because my pain tolerance is very, very low. I am not saying it did not hurt because it still does no matter how many times I do it but I feel like her wax really makes a difference.
So of course three months later, she is still my go to place!

I’ve been to The SkinLoft a few times for facials and have to compliment Joyee on her great service and attention to detail. It is located at the back of Salon de Jeunesse (a hair salon) so don’t miss it.
While other places that I’ve been to before may only use a «one-​type-​fits-​all» kind of skin care product, Joyee actually takes the time to examine my skin to see what it needs and how it’s reacting and uses the appropriate product. It may sound like any facialist should do that, but you’d be surprised at how many don’t. The results have been great.
Everything is kept extremely clean, prices for services are reasonable, and there is parking in the back. I’ll be back and I have no problem recommending The SkinLoft to friends, family, and fellow Unilocalers!

I arrived early for an eyebrow and Brazilian wax and Joyee quickly took care of me. It was before 10am and my day wasn’t going well but Joyee definitely was a nice break from the hectic morning. She is professional and soo easy to get along with!
She uses a hard wax, which is cleaner than traditional wax, and throws away each stick after one usage. Both waxes were pretty much painless given that we were chatting the whole time. I’ve never let anyone other than my mom wax my eyebrows (lol) cus I don’t like having people up in my face but I was comfortable with Joyee.
I really appreciate the clean work and the mini therapy session. Joyee is great all around. I highly recommend skinloft :-) and I will be back!

I love this hidden gem. Joyee answered all my questions referring to my skin and gave me tips to help maintain my skin. The Facial was absolutely amazing and relaxing! I will be coming back!
