I had extensions put in for length last November since I was attending a wedding.
I have never had hair longer than past my shoulders. This was my very first time with extensions and Valerie was very patience with me. She answered all of the questions I had. The extensions lasted about 3 months until I started getting annoyed of them. Her prices were very reasonable.

My wife’s hair is naturally fine/​scanty. This was her first time using extensions and I gotta say she’s loving all of it. Valerie did an incredible job! My wife only needed 2 rows to get the fullness and effect she wanted, she looks gorgeous (as always) and the price was reasonable. When she had problems the first week because she made a mistake with the upkeep, Valerie told her to come back and charged her only $ 20 to fix the strands that had fallen and redo the loosened extensions. She’s had no problem since then and she plans to keep coming back.

I previously went to Valerie to get my hair done, and I was very happy with it. I moved to the bay area, shortly after. I asked her if I could get a discount since I had to travel from far but I still wanted to use her services, cause of how happy I was with the results, but understood, if she couldn’t just thought I’d ask. She said she felt her prices were reasonable, and I understood, so I said I would let her know when I needed an appointment. My first attempt: I drove to LA on my first 2 days off that I had in a while cause I desperately needed to do my hair, and asked her if she had any appointments available, that I was sorry it was so last minute, but I hoped she did. No answer back. My second attempt was during thanksgiving, I went home for two weeks, let her know ahead of time, and told her I’d be available whenever during those 2 weeks. She said she was booked, but she’d get back to me. My third attempt: was when I texted her because it had been a week and she still had not tried to contact me, and told me she was still booked, but had more people added to her wait list. I totally felt like she was brushing me off. She never got back to me, and I have been very patient because like i said I liked her service, but this is REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Its not like I’m getting my hair done for free. If she didn’t want to do my hair anymore because I wanted a 10% off, then she should of just said so. I took my money elsewhere, and I am very content, and didn’t have to drive 400 miles to get it.

I have super fine hair and not a lot of it. No amount of products, teasing, or layering has ever made a noticeable difference on me, and trust me, I’ve tried everything.
I’m so grateful to have found Valerie because she has transformed my thin, volume-​less hair into a full head of beautiful locks with her extensions. The results were amazing and exceeded my expectations.
The technique she uses to put them on is so natural looking that nobody even knows I have them on until I tell them. Valerie also made the entire process (putting them on, taking them off, and everything in between) so painless that I’m mad at myself for not having gone to her sooner.
Because I’m a newbie with hair extensions, Valerie consistently followed up with me after my first time getting them put in to make sure everything was as it should be. I appreciated that very much.
The extensions last about 3 months for me. I recently went back to have them re-​done because my hair had grown out too much and I think it turned out even better than the first time around because she has a much better understanding of what is more comfortable for me from the feedback that I’ve given her. That’s another thing I really appreciate about her; she is not stuck in her ways on how to do things. She is willing and eager to make whatever adjustments are needed based on the individual. I’m VERY impressed with her work and the service she provides.

My hair has always been short and recently because of my job as a lifeguard and being in the water all summer, my poor bleached hair had become very thin. I had wanted extensions for a while but did not know where to go, finally I found Valerie on Unilocal.Thanks to the helpful reviews, I decided to check her out. Even before meeting her she was so helpful! I went to the place she suggested I get the hair and had no idea what I was talking about so I decided to call her. Thank God I did because I saved a lot of money with her help!
Salon Monet is a clean and adorable hair salon that feels like you are hanging out in someone’s house (in a good way) all the women working there were very friendly and I felt comfortable .
Now on to the actual extensions, Valerie explained everything and constantly asked if I was in any pain (which I wasn’t). The hours I was there felt like they flew by because Valerie is so sweet and nice. I love my hair and people cannot tell that I have extensions because the color matches so well and because they were done so well. I will be coming back to Valerie and I have already suggested her to a couple friends. I am addicted to having long hair !

Valerie is awesome! Even her prices are good. Some of you may not care about cost and honestly you shouldn’t but I cant help mention that Valerie charges per roll of extensions… I had 3 rolls only.
My story:
I’ve tried everything from clip ons to even getting a weave. And these I-​tips are the way to go… They arent heavy and I can still run my hands thur my hair. Clip-​ons simply had a lot of weight and I couldn’t run my hand thur my hair without worrying I would pull it out or it be seem.
The weave that I got was the sewn in one. It wasnt bad for the 1^st 2 days but when I washed my hair and my braids remained wet I knew it wasnt for me. This process works well for some but in my case, it just didnt for me. I’ve spent so much on ‘good’ quality hair for the past 3 months just wanting to save pennies. Its sad… Valerie has given me tips to making my own I-​tips so the hair I have wont go to waste. She said I have enough hair for the next 3 – 4 yrs… Lol She is again such a good hearted person. :-)
To get to my point: I thought about saving money usig clip ons– boy was I wrong. Consider the time and effort then u will understand.

This is my first time getting hair extensions and I had done alot of researching about hair extensions. I found out about Valerie through Unilocal and called her. Valerie is great! I stumbled upon her by accident. I’ve had extensions for 12 years when I came to see her. However, my extensions were the ones that are weaved into your own hair, the ones on a weft. I was never 100% happy with them, because I never felt that they really blended in with my own hair. When I met Valerie, she showed me her technique and I loved it right away. My extensions look very natural now and blend in perfectly with my own hair. Valerie loves what she does and it shows. I’m happy to have found my new stylist!

You know how a lot of asian girls have a really thick full head of hair? Well, I don’t. It’s run in my family to have very thin very little hair. If I ever put my hair in pigtail braids, they’d look more like I had two chopsticks hanging from my head. I’ve tried cutting layers to make it look like it had more volume but there’s only so much I can layer since I really don’t have much to work with. I was even thinking I might need implants some day.
So I searched for a solution and I heard about hair extensions. I found Valerie on Unilocal and read the reviews. She invited me in for a consultation in Oct. 2010 and finally in Feb 2011 to get them put in. We only used 3 of the 5 bushels of hair and it made me look like I had the full head of hair I always dreamed of. I had the extensions in for 4 months. Not one extension ever fell out.
Today I finally decided to get them redone since my hair had grown out a bit. Due to following Valerie’s instructions on care and maintenance we were able to reuse every extension! It saved a lot of money because I don’t have to by more hair! I don’t think I can go back to not having extensions in! Go to Valerie, she’ll take excellent care of you!

When I called Valerie, she just sounded so relaxed and welcoming. She really made me feel comfortable and I was really glad that I chose her.
First, you need to make a consultation appt. with her. The process was so smooth, she doesn’t rush you to get them done quickly at all. During the consultation, she will match your hair color to the tee… but you will have to either wait until they deliver it or you can go to the Hair Shop on Wilshire in LA. I recommend you to drive there yourself because you will get a discount from Valerie. I am so glad I went!
TADA! I had my hair extensions put in yesterday for the very first time, and I LOVE IT!!! Valerie really focuses on YOU! Even though the process was like 2 hours, she doesn’t rush at all, she really took the time to talk to you, taking you step by step. She made sure that every piece of hair was on secure. She has the patience to do this extension process. This process does not involve glue at all so I was happy, because I don’t want to end up being bald! This was another reason why I chose this extension method. She really made me feel comfortable, and at the end I had the best results ever!!! I am now ready to play piano confidently at my senior recital, attend graduation in june and cousin’s wedding in july!!! SO HAPPY! She even calls you to make sure that the extensions were secure, if any problems, call her. You will definitely not be disappointed!!! Thanks Valerie!!!

Go get your hair extensions done by Valerie! i absolutly love mine. I got mine done about 2 months ago and they are still staying in strong. There was no damage done to my hair, no glue was used, I have had zero problems. I get so many compliments on my long hair and people are always amazed when I tell them I have extension as they look so natural.
