We were looking for a new spot to try out in the area, and came here based on Unilocal reviews. I was really disappointed! For starters, the hostess was not very friendly. She did not speak when I went to put my name in, just raised her eyes and when I gave her my name and party size, she gave me a half nod and looked back down. When we were seated(still no words between us and the hostess, just a wave to follow her), our server came over and she was very nice and relatively attentive. She was very busy so we understood. My real issue was with the food. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was just terrible. They have a number of Benedict dishes on their menu, which usually means that they will make the hollandaise sauce in house, but it was from a bag– it was cold, which made the rest of the dish cold. The canadian bacon portion was really small as well. My husband got pancakes, eggs, and breakfast meat. His eggs were not cooked the way he asked for and the pancakes were just OK. Neither one of us finished our meals. I was hoping to like this place, but definitely will not come here again. There are better, cozier places around where you can get a fresher and cheaper product.

First time customers; very good breakfast. The only way to improve our experience would be to serve warm buttered toast with eggs or at least serve spreadable butter. Also, I assumed that my pancakes would have fresh strawberries on top of the pancake; however, only a few were grilled into the actual pancake without any on top(not my preference). Overall good experience.

Great little spot for breakfast/brunch. Place is always busy, but the wait is 10 – 15 min max as they move people pretty quickly. Service is kind and punctual. Cast all ideas of a diet to the wind, but the peanut butter, Nutella, and banana stuffed French toast is delicious and totally worth it! Definitely will come back!

A low-key breakfast diner that is a must visit for SEPTA/AMTRAK traveler, or for a quick breakfast if you’re nearby, Ardmore Station Café provides a diverse menu at reasonable prices. Also, it was featured on an episode of MTV’s Catfish. I’m fairly certain 90% of the clientele are people taking the AMTRAK somewhere. But don’t let that deter you from visiting this modest Ardmore diner. Hidden away on the second floor of a building on Station Road, the café small interior only seats only thirty people at the most. My girlfriend and I came early on a Saturday morning and was greeted by a mostly empty diner that really filled up by 8:30am. The service was decent but not exceptional — it was obvious the waitress was less than thrilled to be there, but she still provided good service. The menu is exactly what you’d expect with some interesting twists to keep things interesting. You can order breakfast and lunch, with prices as cheap as $ 4 for a parfait to $ 8 for a chicken cheese steak. I opted for the Peanut Butter Banana & Nutella Stuffed French Toast($ 7.75) with peanut butter, Nutella and bananas dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. It’s hard to mess up Nutella in anything, but the combination of peanut butter and fresh bananas really added to the dish, elevating it above something you could make at home(they skimped a bit on the bananas though). A very fulfilling dish. Ardmore Station Café is a must visit if you’re waiting at the train station(it’s in the name after all), and a place to check out for a low key, inexpensive breakfast for a local. Defintely get something with Nutella.

So I have to alter my review for this place because this is a big deal for me. I’m not sure what cleaning products they use when wiping the tables but the owner should really consider making sure they are using a clean rag and maybe trying to use the awesome cleaning product that doesn’t leave a bad smell afterwards. Don’t get me wrong, the food is amazing but I’ll order take out from now on.

This is such a cozy café! i have been here for brunch a couple of times with close friends and it’s like a found my own ‘Luke’s’. I would recommend this brunch spot for groups of up to 4 since the place can get pretty packed and the tables are pretty small. Even when it is, the service is pretty speedy and on a college budget, the value is great. I have always been happy with breakfast here — omelets are a thumbs up and the pancakes and french toast my friends get always get rave reviews. For people looking for a more low-key, affordable breakfast venue, I would go with this little nook.

We went to Ardmore Station Café for Sunday brunch. There was a wait, but they moved people in and out pretty quickly so we didn’t have to wait as long as they originally told us. I was in a group of 5 so they had to add a seat to the end of the table. I wouldn’t recommend this café for groups. Seems better for couples since it’s fairly small and the tables are very close to each other on the inside. The atmosphere is very casual. As far as the food goes, brunch is always a struggle for me because I want sweet and salty but don’t have a huge appetite so I can never finish my meal. I wish I could get half of two different meals. I decided to get the strawberry Nutella stuffed French toast and a side of cheese fries. The stuffed French toast was just as incredible as it sounds. It came with Kraft syrup, which I wouldn’t be caught dead eating since I grew up in New England, but there was an option to buy pure maple syrup for $ 2. I would definitely go back there just to have this! I was very disappointed with the cheese fries because, being from Philly, I assumed it meant there would be cheese whiz, but instead it was melted cheese. Unfortunately my fries weren’t crispy because they must’ve been under the heat lamp too long before being served to me. Between being melted cheese instead of whiz and not being crispy, it didn’t hit the spot and I wasn’t psyched to pay $ 3.50 for a side of not so great fries that I barely ate. In their defense, I didn’t ask for whiz, I assumed. I know for next time to clarify. I’m giving 3 stars for my rating because half of my group was satisfied with their experience and the other half was not. One of my friends got ginger ale and he said it tasted like water with a sprinkling of ginger.(I feel like ginger ale is hard to mess up.) One of my other friends got freshly squeezed orange juice and she said it was delicious and refreshing. Overall I’m indifferent about my experience here. Our waitress was nice, it wasn’t too noisy although the seating was tight. I’m not dying to go back but I wouldn’t mind if we did other, just wouldn’t be my first choice. The stuffed French toast was really great though!

I absolutely LOVE this place! There are so many great choices that even my kids are happy with. The chocolate chip banana pancakes are a hit with my son and I tend to get one of their wonderful eggs Benedicts. I also like the crab and avocado omelette. Everyone is so nice and we get great service!

BRUNCH! Their brunches are fabulous! Be prepared to wait, as the venue is tiny and everyone knows their brunch is worth the wait. They have a fun French Toast Sampler(your choice of 3), and their French Toasts are the best choice on the menu. Their waffles, pancakes, and omelettes are good. They also serve breakfast all day on weekdays. Since the place is really small, it is best for yourself and others to come with a party of no more than 4 people(but really, even that many is pushing it). Try this place!

Busy Sunday noontime, about 15 minute wait. Wait staff was hustling, but friendly service. Avocado benedict was ok. Fried scrapple came deep fried in wedges. Nice crust and creamy livery inside. Fried grits were square slices. I think grits are pretty bland, in general, but these had nice chewy exterior. Coffee is a medium roast. Lighter than a Pikes Place.

I’m a big fan of French toast, so I decided to try this place for breakfast on my birthday based on some reviews. I couldn’t decide between the great options(nutella + strawberry, plain with real maple syrup, pumpkin spice, etc) and the waitress let me order a French toast sampler of one piece of each, even though they typically only do it on the weekends. All three were super delicious, and it’s hard to pick a fave so I’m glad I got to try the sampler. Service was(obviously) pretty great, coffee was good, prices were reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.

Let me preface this review with saying that the food was okay. For a brunch spot, the menu was pretty uninspired. Sure the pancakes were varied, but what about the egg dishes? Regardless, the food was okay and fairly inexpensive. This review is not about the cook, who appeared to be the only adult in the building that worked there. When we first walked in, we stood in a corner by the door waiting for a couple of minutes before we were greeted by a 14 year old girl dressed like she was in a low budget 80s workout video — cut off sweater and way too short shorts for work. She took our name, didn’t tell us a wait time(despite 4 very open tables) and walked away for 10 minutes. Finally she came back and we were seated. The waitress, equally as young and apathetic, took our order. We then watched as three other groups were seated and placed their orders with another waitress. After about 7 minutes their food was out but we still sat there hungry. Our food came a few minutes later. Meanwhile, more people flowed into the restaurant, leaving a line of small children and their tired parents watching my girlfriend and I make small talk and try and ignore the awkward audience we’ve gained. Our food came out. Like I said, it was okay. Nothing special, but it was food and cooked well. But have you ever ate something while people stood over you less than a foot away watching you? No thanks. What made no sense is that this line should not have been. There were about 5 – 6 tables open, half that needed cleaned. But the busboy lazily and slowly cleared tables and the hostess just didn’t want to sit people or do anything. My coffee cup ran empty and we waited for the waitress to come and ask if we wanted more. Of course. She said she’ll be right back with it. But then she say there, by the coffee pot that was 5 feet away from us and clearly full, checking her phone and not doing anything. It wasn’t until my girlfriend had to actually wave her down that we got our coffee… And the check at the same time. We originally wanted Sabrina’s but the wait looked long. Next time we’ll take the wait and get better service. 1* for food, 0 for service and 0 for atmosphere.

An absolutely great breakfast was had by the family. We all ordered something different and the only complaint was from the child that chose french toast instead of pancakes. She got sucked in to the sampler option since she couldn’t decide on just one of their delicious sounding options. Unfortunately, in our opinions, the french toast can’t stand up to their delicious pancakes. We had Oreo pancakes(that tasted just like a fried oreo, the husband’s favorite fair food!) The cinnamon, umm. cinnamon something pancakes that were amazing. My husband usually gets the cinnamon roll pancakes at that 4 letter word chain pancake place, and they’re layered with cream and decorated beautifully, but, they’re probably a gaziillion calories and fat grams and a heart attack on a plate. Here, at Ardmore Station Café, his cinnamon pancakes did’t look like anything special. They really just looked like pancakes. Not even a dollop of whipped cream. But let me tell you, they were absolutely one of the most delicious things on the table. The flavor that was in each bite was unbelievable, especially coming from something that didn’t look all that special. I’d have them again, in a heart beat. I had the reese’s peanut butter pancakes and they were like a dessert on a breakfast plate. Super yummy, especially if you have a sweet tooth! I want to go back and try their egg options, but those pancake options are hard to pass up!!!

I can’t believe it has taken me this long to add my review of this place! It is another one of Ardmore’s hidden gems, for sure. Tucked away discreetly on the second floor of the building across the street, you might walk right by as you exit the train in Ardmore and go about your merry business. You will not regret making a stop here instead. The food is absolutely to die for. I will sing eternal praise of the Oreo Pancakes and the French Toast Sampler. If you’re in for lunch, the Chicken Caesar Wrap is dripping with savory goodness. On top of that, the staff is the friendliest bunch of people I’ve ever met. They are happy to chat and are always laughing! I’ve learned to avoid coming here for peak brunch hours, especially on the weekend. There is not much seating and it can get very crowded, but I promise it’s worth a trip any time of the day. WARNING: WILLDESTROYYOURDIET. But don’t you want to die happy?

Food was really good. Was it worth the wait– No. Was it worth the price– No. Am I glad I tried it– Yes. This breakfast spot is SWAMPED on the weekends. Get here early and expect a wait. Limited seating and slow patrons add up to be a pain in the butt. Large group… forget it. I wouldn’t try a group of more than 4. 6 is doable but expect some wait time. The selection of food is great. They have many many options for pancakes, french toast and omelets. Be careful what you order from the pancake or french toast sections… you could go into diabetic shock. But do not fear, they have plenty of savory options available on the menu too. In addition to my breakfast I got a side of homefries… now potatoes are my favorite part of the breakfast experience but I was saddened when my $ 2 potatoes amounted to a few homefries in a small bowl. Please, charge be double but give me some homefries! Drink refills can be on the slow side but that is too be expected. I will try on a weekday this summer to see if things are better when they are so backed up.

Ardmore Station Café has the best breakfast on the mainline. Since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, I can be picky about it. I have a hard time picking what I want because there are so many options. If you want something sweet the Oreo Pancakes are wonderful. If you want something more savory, I love the Eggs Benedict with avocado. If you are seriously hungry, the side of pancakes goes well with the Eggs Benedict. The only cons are that there is not much parking and the restaurant is small, so expect a wait on the weekends.

Great café! Staff was really friendly. I came here for lunch with a friend. I know i was supposed to order breakfast because everyone raves about it but i opted for the chicken cheesesteak with french fries. The cheesesteak was really good. Rolls were fresh. French fries tasty and hot. My friend had a sandwich as well and was thrilled that they used bread from Le Bus. Prices were very reasonable. Great location right next to the train station and a short walk from Suburban Square. Definitely worth a visit.

I love the breakfast at Ardmore Station Café. The food is almost as good as the service… The staff is so sweet and kind. Their best offering is the challah french toast in many varieties from pumpkin to peanut butter and banana. Their pancakes are also really special. My husband also likes the salmon eggs Benedict. If you like omelettes, the tomato bacon and avocado is really good! The la Columbe coffee is wonderful and fresh squeezed OJ a treat. As long as you can hang out to wait for a table, it’s the best breakfast from Wayne to Wynnewood.
