Ten star is THE locals pizza joint. The best place to grab a pizza in historic downtown Ardmore. A charming little pizza parlor that is beautifully done inside with comfy tables & upholstered booths. They make really good quality pizza, however, it’s just a pizza joint with a small menu. They only serve pizza, tomato soup, two salads, a couple sandwiches, lasagna, ice cream & dessert. All very good, just VERY limited menu. The pizza has a flakey cracker crust. It’s very thin & they use quality toppings. When they first opened I thought they would add more items to the menu. That was years ago now & it’s still the same limited menu. I have inquired many times about adding a gluten free crust & anchovies to the menu. They always tell me to bring in my gluten free crust & they will make it for me, but, if I am going to do that I will just make it myself at home. Jury is still out on the anchovies. The Cesar salad is ok but the dressing taste like bottled and again, there are no white anchovies available to top your Cesar Salad if you like that option. They serve beer & wine, one pinot noir. I really like the Pinot Noir, however, I would like to see more options, like a few good Chianti’s added to the wine list. With the new Italian restaurant that just opened a couple blocks away that should be a motivator to add a couple much needed items to the menu. In the mean time, I will be looking for them elsewhere. Recommended for lunch, dine in & pizza to go.

Wow Wow Wow! So we were on a camping trip to Oklahoma at Lake Murray. My friend and I snuck off from the rest of our campers and used Unilocal to find a place to find something eat. This place was incredible. Why does it have to be so far? We walked in and were greeted by a wonderful young lady. The place is small and cozy with a home feel to it. It was very clean and just felt right. My buddy and I both had our sons with us, the waitress was very patient with us and our kids. We ordered our pizza and it arrived pretty fast. While waiting for our pizza, we all had to wash our hands. There were two magical pixies in the bathroom eating off the toilet seat. ITWASTHATCLEAN. I’m not joking, this bathroom was cleaner than a bathroom in a clean bathroom showroom. I was emotionally taken by how clean it was. I consider the cleanliness of the bathroom to be a reflection of the cleanliness of the restaurant. If that’s the case here, Mr Clean must be the cook. I get back to the table and our pizza arrives. OHMYGOODNESS that was some mighty tasty pizza. You ever have food that’s so good that you get depressed when it’s almost all gone? That’s how good the pizza here was. It was cooked to perfection, the ingredients tasted fresh and yummy. I wanna say I’ll be back soon, but it’s over two hours from my house, so this will be a memory that I will hold until next year when I can finally return and relive my pizza dream come true.

Definitely worth an extended detour if you are passing through Ardmore. Outstanding pizza and good service in a fun«old town center» location. The crust, in particular, is flavorful and crisp without being razor-thin. Good sauce and fresh toppings. I wish we had one in Dallas!

We stopped for lunch. Had no idea what we were getting into as we were far from home. The restaurant is amazing. Beautiful inside, clean, friendly service and the pizza was great. Then the owner suggested we try the key lime pie. The best key lime pie I’ve ever eaten. Of your within 30 miles of Ardmore Ok. You really need to eat here.

When we walked in almost every table had dirty dishes on them. Wasn’t impressed at all.

The service and atmosphere was good, but where the establishment is hurting is management. The shortcomings became apparent when at first I ordered only a bowl of tomato soup, which they did not have. Then I decided I would take a panini with a side of chips… They were also out of chips. The panini was what I had expected to get, and the fruit was acceptable as far as freshness goes, but the greatest complaint about the food is simply that when I came in at 5 o’clock they were already«out». Our waitress was very helpful, but the managerial shortcomings outweighed the good atmosphere and staff of this place.

Ten Star is great. The food quality is good and the service is fantastic. The shaved parmesan cheese in the Caesar salad is a nice touch. However, the food is overpriced. As a result, we visit no more than once every few months.

It’s our first night in Ardmore and we stopped in for a late dinner. I was little nervous taking my 5 year old as it seemed a little upscale for the area. Arlene was our waitress and she was perfect! We ordered a large Caesar salad and medium pepperoni and pineapple pizza to share. We missed the rush so it was quiet but Arlene assured us that it’s actually a kid friendly establishment and encouraged to come back for lunch. She recommended the Relax Riesling and it was SOGOOD. I absolutely loved the food and wine and it just made my night even better to take home a slice of homemade chocolate pie. Thank you so much for the perfect evening!

I’m sure I’d give this five stars had I ate lunch inside. My boyfriend and I make a trip through OK yearly, this will surely be a stop we make each time. I purchased the Fresh Spinach Salad and we also ordered the Margarita Pizza(a classic and our favorite). And I recommend the vanilla frozen yogurt, delish. Good Job Ten Star! I feel in love on my first try!

Used Unilocal for the first time to choose a restaurant in a somewhat unfamiliar town. Couldn’t be happier with the choice. The pizza was great(thin and crispy crust), and the spinach salad was absolutely delicious. Will definitely return if I end up in Ardmore again.

I am sorry to all of the locals who love this place. I have to rate it compared to what I am used to to and it did not hit the mark. The pizza was extremely small for the price. The two guys I was with for work on the road, also left hungry. We each ordered our own pizza and we each left so hungry we had to stop at McDonalds on the way home. Other than portions, I found the sausage to be very bland compared to what I am used to. The décor was really nice and the servers were very friendly. I enjoyed the atmosphere and it was extremely clean and well cared for in appearance. So, wont say this was a bad experience, it just did not serve its purpose to fill our bellies…

Thursday night, met some business guys for a late dinner, arriving /seated at 8:10. Two other tables were finishing when we arrived. I dived into a spinach salad, topped with rock-hard(unripe) avocado. Asked waitress if they had a more ripe one, negative. Group ordered a cheese & carnivore pizza(cheese won). We stayed chatting until nearly 9:30. At around 8:30 — 8:45, the iPhones came out and text-time began: three high schoolers were working the front. Service was okay; décor was a pleasant surprise for the locality; pizza was fine, not memorable. 2.5 stars this night, but I acknowledge that trying a place for the first time in the last 50 minutes of service handicaps the experience a bit. Would return if business brings me back to the area.

We were driving through southern Oklahoma and stopped for gas. I decided it was close to eatin’ time, so why not check Unilocal to see where to try. Very near downtown(which is 7 miles east of I-35), Ten Star sits on the Main Street(literally) in what once must have been an antique store or tea room — the décor is contemporary and eclectic. One interesting item is the Charlie’s Angels poster in the men’s room — Come to think of it, I had to hide my Farah Fawcett poster in my closet too… ah memories of my childhood. The menu is pretty simple. One stand-out was the grill-cheese sandwiches. You can get a variety of cheeses, and it is more like a panini rather than a grilled sandwich. My mother and I ordered the«All American» which included bacon and tomato with the american cheese and bread. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich for my daughter, of which I was more than happy to finish the half she couldn’t eat. I am getting the order of things we ate wrong: we started with a bowl of the tomato soup. Our server, Ben, recommended it and said he could live entirely off of it — we can see why. A funny thing happened in between placing our order with Ben and the soup arriving… on the back of the menu is the story of how the restaurant came to be. A gentleman came from the kitchen with little cups of the delicious soup offering samples to patrons. I asked if he was«Ryan» owner of the restaurant and he was. He was so happy with his latest batch of soup he had just whipped up in the kitchen that he was wanting everyone to try it(hence the samples). HERE is a man who’s passion is cooking and sharing food. THIS is why this place deserves five stars and why you should take a break off I-35 to sample the soup.
