We were visiting from Dallas and came across this awesome find. Food is excellent, beer is cold and the bartender, Jacob, took very good care of us. Will definitely go back when we are in the area.

After a long day on the I35, driving thru several tornado warnings, we needed to be out of the car for a beer(or 2). Knowing nothing about Ardmore, this joint popped up on Unilocal. Ardmore’s downtown town is pretty cool in a «It’s a Wonderful Life» kinda way and Red Dirt compliments it well. The building is old brick, exposed beams… Stunning really. The food was exceptional. Black and Bleu burger on a pretzel bun with carmelized onions and a thicket layer of melted Bleu cheese… Or the Brat burger with stone ground mustard? Some of the best burgers I’ve had. They lose a star on the beer for nit picking reasons. They listed their pale ales to include Budweiser and a kolsch style ale– neither of which they are. It dawned on me they were doing their lists by the color off the beer. I also ordered a stout on nitro and it definitely wasn’t nitro primed. Still a good beer, though. It tells me the beer IQ isn’t quite where it needs to be. Don’t let my beer snobbiness slow you down, though. It’s a great place.

Decent bar and Grill. Food is typical bar fare. Friendly atmosphere and server. Good selection of beer. If you like eating at a bar it’s a good choice. If you just want drinks it’s good too.

Super good food! Had the brewmaster burger and the pig burger, onion rings and grilled zucchini. Quick, friendly service! Tried the 3 beer flight… went with the servers recommendations: prairie bomb, milk stout and moose drool. All very good, distinct flavor and undertones. Would definitely go back(we were traveling through Ardmore).

Eh. Nice ambience, food was«okay» but the raving cheesecakes were absent. 1 choice and wasn’t out flavor. The musician(Webb) that night was very good. It wasn’t the best or the worst we’ve been to. It’s a bar. Expect a bar with better then average bar food. Couches were cool I admit. Pretty neat. Needs artwork in the joint ;)

Tried Red Dirt while in Ardmore on business. The place has a great vibe that is a lot like places you would find in larger cities, without the pretentiousness. I had the sirloin cobb with ranch dressing. Steak was cooked to my liking and put over a fresh heart of romaine lettuce. Lettuce was super fresh and there was a nice portion of dressing that wasn’t just slathered on. Very classy salad indeed. I’m a fan!

Chose Red Dirt by Unilocal reviews. Small and wonderful! I loved the couches! The flights were so fun and something I had never done before! The cheese fries and the Pub nachos are extremely good! Awesome Ranch dressing, little side salads that are just perfect! I had pepperjack mushroom burger. It was good but a little dry, needs some seasoning, I had to add salt. Good but could be way way better. Hubby had the Brat burger, it was pretty big and he liked it. Will definitely be back! Kinda hidden, but worth it to find!

In a town where there’s nothing to do, RDB is a nice place to hang out from time to time. Good beer, good food and sometimes the music isn’t so bad.

Being new in town and coming from the DFW metroplex, Frisco area, where everyone is socially accepted, went here for craft beer and decent environment. Only thing we found was extremely slow service, and rude, judgmental clientele. Being bi-racially married, my bi-racial son was trying to start friendly conversation to get to know the locals, only to be treated like«brown dirt». Guess we will take our $$ elsewhere… never been treated this COLDLY anywhere else. Pretty sure the bumpkin crowd this place attracts would not stand a shot in the much classier places we are use to in the city. Packed with a bunch of rude wanna-be’s. Epic fail. Maybe if the food was better I could actually concentrate this review on that.

Stopped here on the drive up to OKC from Dallas. Had the pretzel/bratwurst app and it was delicious. Liked the contemporary interior of this place.

The brewmaster burger(a brat as a patty on a pretzel bun) was excellent. My wife ordered fries, and they were just ok. But I ordered the grilled asparagus and it was amazing. Fantastic selection of beers on tap, and fun atmosphere. Decent kids menu as well.

Came down to visit an old fiend and they suggested the Red Dirt Brewhouse, oh what a mistake that was. To start off the evening our service was«spotty.» We ordered the pretzels, that the waitress suggested. To our surprise the pretzels were frozen on the inside. They waitress took them back and brought the same plate of pretzels back to us burn on the outside that time and crunchy on the inside. We ordered the rest of our food, after waiting about 30 mins to receive it the waitress came to inform us that they were out of most things we ordered. Food fininally came out and my order was half there… I ordered onion rings and they were nowhere to be found, I asked about them her response was«I forgot to check the ticket, but we are out of them as well.» They replaced the onion rings with soggy fries. The burger I got had absolutely no flavor and was 1⁄3 the size of my bun and burnt all the way through. The place as a whole was very eclectic, had a nice environment. I truly hope it was an off night, but I won’t be back to find out.

Pretty hidden — between dark allies and no sign. Good things there were plenty of cars on the parking lot so we can find this place. Didn’t try the beer, but food was pretty solid. Sriracha chicken skewer with cilantro cream sauce had enough spiciness to compliment the sauce, while the praline burger was pretty good — I guess patty made from bratwurst and fried egg can’t go wrong.

«You cain’t get no beer in Oklahoma strong enough to git ya drunk,» said no one that’s found this place. Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to Coop DNR Belgian Ale(10% ABV) and the one and only place south of OKC metro that sells it. The repurposed warehouse feel is over-done, but it feels home-y and confortable in here. It’s casual, like a good bar, and they have enough quality beer on tap to make you stay in southern Oklahoma longer than you planned. I’m also yet to have a meal that wasn’t amazing. If you’re saving calories for the beer, try the seared shrimp salad. It’s got a great mix of flavors with a respectable serving of shrimp. Not figure conscious? Go balls-out and have a bratwurst burger. Yeah, that’s exactly what it sounds like– a hamburger patty made, not from ground beef, but bratwurst. It’s good enough to make you lick the delicious grease that will inevitably run down your arm. The owner is usually there working his behind off, but tends to stop and socialize, seeming to genuinely CARE what his patrons think… and who doesn’t love that?! There are several TVs, but it’s not the best place to catch a game, which is a nice departure from the cheap sports-bar feel around town. No, it’s just a good place to sit around, have a few great brews and shoot the breeze with your buddies. Thursday night live music is usually a blast, too.

Ardmore is a small town. When you think small towns, especially in Southern Oklahoma, you don’t think Brewhouse. Luckily though, someone else did. This is something that this town desperately needed. They set up shop in the downtown area, which is in desperate need of some gentrification, and businesses like Red Dirt, Main Street Coffee and Ten Star Pizza are helping it out. I’m glad to see new businesses coming in and thriving, and bringing something unique to this town. They aren’t serving their own beers yet, but they do serve a good variety of Oklahoma beers, and a few other Craft Brews from around the country(Sierra Nevada, Boulevard Brewing, Sam Adams, Red Hook, etc). They have a good variety to choose from too: IPAs, Wheats, Stouts, Pale Ales, etc. They have something for everyone. Even my sister enjoyed her cider and light ale, and she thinks Bud Light is a proper beer. They really put a lot of thought into the beer menu though. Whoever is in charge sure knows what they’re doing. Sadly, lots of people were still drinking Miller and Bud out of a bottle. The beer snob in me wanted to yell at them. But, hey, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Hopefully there are enough people interested in trying some new beers to keep this place afloat. The food we had was all good too. We shared the nachos, cheese fries and chicken wings. All were good, and reasonably priced. I’ve heard from my family the apps are the way to go. I’m bumping a star because our server, while nice(and actually a good friend of my sisters) knows nothing about beer. I asked her questions and she looked at me with a blank stare. Besides the Owner, I doubt anyone here knows what they are talking about when it comes to beers, even the bartenders. I think adding some descriptions to the menus of the beers would be helpful at least. I had to turn to the internet to find out more about a lot of the beers. When I asked the server if a certain beer was a Saison, she obviously had never heard of that beer. She even told me I should be doing her job. I think at least having some descriptions, and makeing sure the servers/bartenders know the basics of the beer would be a good step in the right direction. Overall though, I am glad this place is here.
