After much anticipation I finally was able to sample their curry lineup. I had the chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, lamb vindaloo, mixed vegetable curry and naan bread. All of it was absolutely amazing! The curry had good flavor and was seasoned just right. This place is highly recommended and I can’t wait to get another taste.

This is the best spot in Westchester for indian food. The food is excellent and the prices are fair. I strongly recommend the chicken samosa and the chicken tikka masala.

I’m sorry but I really don’t all the hype. We ordered take out last night and the food was bland and cold in spots. Tasted like it had been microwaved. We ordered the lamb saag. Overpriced and small portions. Parking is horrendous you need to park like a half mile away and walk.

It’s a decent place for indian food. I done take out from them 3times in the past few months. It seems like the food can be a hit or miss. I like the lamp wrap w the eggs and the Chai is declious.

I love Indian food and this place hits the spot! No matter what get the food taste flavorful and fresh. This place is inexpensive, quick service and let’s not forget the awesome free chai tea and the available chutney sauce on the side. I would recommend their chicken as it seems consistent tender, their lamb can be sometimes overcooked and they have loads of great vegetarian options as well. There are a couple of seats and tables and the weird thing is, is that sometimes there’s a distinct(nonfood related) odor that can be a little off putting. Otherwise order take out and enjoy!

Stopped by today for Lunch and we were pleasantly surprised! This place is amazing! We got two of the lunch specials… and we were blown away at the quality of the Indian food for the price. The chicken tikka masala is one of the best ones I’ve tasted. Also, the staff were super friendly. I hope to be back again soon!

This is by far one of the most authentic Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to, Shishir and Hugo created a masterpiece. The calcutta wraps are amazing and the curry/entrees are freshly prepared. Will definitely return.

Love the food. Do not always love the wait. Just plan on 30 minutes to go pick up your food. They offer vegan and gluten free options. Will customize your spice(heat) level. The dals are always good choices to make the meal stretch. You might want to order extra rice. They do not accept AMEX.

One word… Awesome! Best Indian Food in Westchester… period. I found this place by chance years ago and I have not been disappointed since. We have been ordering take out at least once a month. It has been consistently awesome and delicious.(sometimes a bit of variation in terms of spicyness). Our favorite dishes are the simple ones(Palak Paneer, Chana Masala, Dr B Chicken Chapata and Malai Kofta). Since I am not Indian, I can not guarantee the authenticity of its Indian food. But I can say the I have been to many Indian places in the city(from one Michele Star restaurant to restaurent with hanging Christmas lights) and this matches or exceeds all of them… honestly… and No, I am not getting paid for this. Keep up the great food!

Lunch special here is such a great deal — $ 10 for a combo platter of chicken + vegetable. I had the chicken chana masala with aloo gobi with naan. You get so much food and it tastes great. Flavorful yet the meat is tenderly cooked. A huge plus is the stellar service.

Excellent home made food taste, affordable, tea is on the house. Lunch thali are my favorite. Chicken Kathy rolls are awesome. Would recommend vegetable Thali for lunch and kathi rolls for evening snacks.

I LOVE Calcutta Wrap & Roll– they’re inexpensive, have great and quick service, serve FREE chai, and thus, have become my go-to spot for fast indian food in the Westchester area. They’re located in a small shopping center with another couple of restaurants closely situated; parking can be a bit hectic at times so unless I’m dining in I like to place my order in advance and do a seamless pick up. I’ve tried a few varieties here including samosas, paneer rolls(house and skinny), chicken rolls(house and skinny), chicken tikka masala, and chicken vindaloo and nothing disappoints. The house chicken roll and vindaloo are probably my favorites– cooked to perfection, catered to your spice level, and absolutely full of flavor. Definitely catered toward an Indian palate which is amazing and I can’t reco enough.

Calcutta Wrap & Roll is literally the bomb dot com. My favorite take out/casual Indian dining spot in Westchester. Their Lunch specials are a great value, and really can’t be beat. It’s not the fanciest, but it’s nice, clean and casual. Forget those Indian lunch buffets, you don’t need so much food! For under $ 10 you can get a great lunch and free Masala Chai! Try the Aloo Bindi(I get this every single time I’m there), and their mixed vegetable curry. I’m also a big fan of their Chaats. The service at this place is awesome. They are always friendly and quick with a joke or two.

My wife and I have been hunting around for a true«Calcutta» based restaurant experience for a long time now. We’ve been to all the«big names» in nyc and frequented the parkchester area in the bronx in an attempt to get something similar to what grandma used to cook up for us back in the day. Parking here on a saturday is tough but we did manage to find something after some patience. We walk in to the restaurant and it was more or less what we were expecting, a small«fast food» feel. Order at the counter and bring it to your own table. We had the following: 1)Fish Chop 2)Okra/Potato/Onion Sauté(don’t remember the name of this entrée) 3)Moog Daal 4)Goat Curry 5)Chicken Biryani 6)Rosh Malai We weren’t quite exactly expecting everything to come out at exactly the same time, but we did have some hopes that we would be able to consume the main entrees together. The fish chop came out and they were awesome. The tamarind and mint chutneys are in the fridge that you can go walk over to and help yourself. We waited about 20 minutes or so and then we got our moog daal/okra/white rice. All of this was great! Another 20 minutes or so later, we got our Goat curry. At this point we were already feeling full but we couldn’t resist putting a few on our plate. About 15 minutes later, that is when we got our Chicken Biryani and Rosh Malai… to go. We popped open the Rosh Malai at home and were pretty dissapointed. The texture and appearance was good, but the«sauce» was burned. It literally tasted like it was burned(smoky flavor). Service — pretty slow, Food — excellent over all, Pricing — not bad, spent about $ 56 and left an additional $ 10 tip. The only reason why I dinged them the star is because the dessert needs major improvement. I will however be back in the future and am anxiously looking forward to it. *EDIT* — Complimentary masala chai for their guests.

So speaking on the lunch specials, this place is awesome. The food takes time but is made fresh to order. I really enjoyed the chicken tikka masala, it a melody of spices. The tandoori grilled platter was great too, although I think they should have either fish or shrimp in platter. Prices are less than 10 dollars for an entrée, a side of veggies(chick peas, alo something etc etc) Overall you cant go wrong with the Calcutta it is a gem for a hole in the wall place.

I’ve been off the Indian food bandwagon for a while now. Most of the time, I find it way too salty for my palate. Before a trip to the apple orchard, we stopped at Calcutta Wrap & Roll for a quick bite. Adam had some sort of chicken dish, and I had the palak paneer, and we split a dosa. The palak paneer was solid and well-seasoned, but I really should have just ordered the dosa. It was so delicious and satisfying, and reminded me of the dosas from Hampton Chutney(quite the compliment, if you ask me). We each also had the mango lassi, which was the perfect sweet treat to quell the spice of our dishes.
