Excellent lunch buffet — of the south Indian variety. The Rava Khichadi was exemplary and all buffet items were fresh, something rarely seen in these parts.

So I ordered from here for the 2nd time tonight. The first time I ordered lunch and it was great. Dinner tonight was not good at all. I ordered Chicken biryani and they gave me goat biryani, and the goat was horrible, the hard boiled egg was over done and green on the inside. The samosas were soggy, the garlic naan half of it was stale and rock hard. The chicken vindaloo was ok but nothing special, but by far the best part of dinner, the spicyness was good. I am very disappointed with my meal and don’t know if I will give them another try.

Mediocre at best. Tandori Chicken was overpowered with lemon. One curry dish with chicken; the rest was vegetables or spicy sauces. Service was poor, and we were the only two there. First & last visit.

Food quality, ambiance, staff, rice and parking make the week-day lunch buffet a good deal. Will be back.

I ordered delivery here the other day using grubhub and I must say I was very disappointed I really like Indian food and ordered for me and my wife. I thought I ordered chicken tikki masala and another dish that I can’t remember the name of along with chicken shouraba soup and garlic naan. The only thing that tasted good was the garlic naan. The soup very small pieces of bones and spices that I could feel grinding when I bit into the chicken pieces. The consistency of the soup was not good. I actually decided to call grubhub and complain they told me they would contact the business and the owner Ibrahim called me back. I told him I ordered chicken tikki masala and it didn’t taste anything like it. He said noooo you ordered chicken tikka masala. I said you know what I will give a benefit of the doubt he said he would send me a plate of that I said no it’s late now he said ok call me tomorrow and place an order and I will give you a discount. I said great I will do that I called him the next day which is today and asked for Ibrahim the person on the phone said he was not here and he would call me back. Nevertheless he never called me back not only was the food not that great but this business does not keep their word I spent 50 dollars because they also charge a 5 dollar delivery fee. I was so disappointed with this place never again

Came here for the Pongal Buffet with my husband and his friend. It was a really great experience. From the food to the management, everyone was very accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and ended up spending at least 3 hours here. Tasty highlights-naan, yellow daal, coconut chutney, special live appam making This restaurant is in a huge space and has an adjoining bar. You can play pool and throw back a yonkers local brew. Can’t say anyone liked that lager but they have plenty of options including the US brewed Kingfisher and Haywards 5000 all the way from India(when there is stock). The only problem was we ate too much!!!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday and decided to do a dosa day with the family. The restaurant is very basic in terms of décor and set up and looks like one of those typical banquet halls. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered meat dosas. I ordered the chicken tikka dosa. The service was very slow and they did not give us our order of masala fries until after we finished our meal(don’t get these fries by the way, they are just regular fries, no real ‘masala factor’). I enjoyed my dosa. They basically put chicken tikka inside which wasn’t bad at all but I wish it was minced meat or a keema instead of actual big pieces of chicken tikka. Regardless I was happy with my dosa and the sambar as well as the amazing tomato sauce/chutney and coconut chutney that accompanies the dosa. I will be back here to try more dosa for sure.

I ordered delivery from here. First time ever having their food and I was pleasantly surprised. We don’t eat meat and the food exceeded our expectations. Everything was delicious. Delivery took over an hour but it was worth the wait. Oddly the food was a little cold but super good. Will defiantly eat here again.

Defiently under rated, I went here for the buffet and it was amazing! Rhey had a wonderful selective if diffeent vegetable and meat curries, but the rice was a overcooked. Overall, the wait staff was nice and attentive. Defiently would recommend this place for anyone who enjoys a good indian buffet.

Let me preface this by saying that I have eaten Indian food all my life. I grew up on it and I cook it regularly. And this was some of the absolute worst«Indian» food I have ever eaten. We went for the«Thursday Dosa buffet». For starters the pani puri water was so salty I nearly gagged and, the pani puri themselves were soggy. The samosas were completely bland. As for the masala dosa it was soft and lukewarm by the time it reached the table. The traditional potato filling was nothing more than a hodge podge of vegetables that have no business being in a masala dosa. Completely unappetizing, and I will never again eat at this mistake of a restaurant, and I suggest you don’t either.

I was excited when I found proper sit down Indian restaurant in Yonkers’s and they have all types of Indian food. Finally no more going to city from Bronx. Its a decent restaurant with good service. Food is always delicious here and quantity is alot. We always end up with leftovers and they are happy to pack it for you. I love to go here whenever I have my Indian food craving. Make sure you tell them to make food mild or medium spicy because some dishes I tried were very spicy.

So I came to this spot for the buffet. I don’t believe that Buffets give you a true quality of a restaurant,(I will keep this in mind when I do reviews of a restaurant during buffet time) but this buffet sucked. 10 dollars is pretty decent but gosh the food was just so bland. It definitely looked the part lol, has the right scent to Indian food, but the food wasn’t fresh, the spices didn’t sink in well, and the the quality of ingredients was severely lacking. There was no one in the restaurant. It says a lot when you go to a restaurant that has an all you can eat buffet for 10 dollars and no one is there lol. The place is huge with tons of seating… I can’t ever imagine seeing this place filled to even 50 percent of its capacity. I really can’t say anything postive about this place besides the size of the restaurant… lol we all know size doesn’t matter when it comes to the food industry unless you are on a budget. Even if you are on a budget, I would not recommend this place.

My new favorite place for indian food. The food was amazing, especially the chicken masala and naan. Make sure to try their mango lassi also – it’s very good!

2 hours(and counting) for a delivery 2.4 miles from the restaurant. Several phone calls to the restaurant for the last hour, with them saying food will be here momentarily. Don’t bother ordering from this place.

This is a review for the Thursday night Dosa unlimited buffet only(what a grand idea). Which was quite pleasant, servers were friendly. The restaurant was empty, however so you felt like a bit of a «experiementer» if you will. The dosas were excellent, and many different kinds. Being from Queens I always want to have access to great Indian food, and thus far this place didn’t disappoint. Definitely will return soon.

I’ve eaten here a few times and, while it’s not winning any awards for the best restaurant in town, it was decent for the time being. However, their quality and their service has taken a steep decline. My father and a friend of mine(as well as me) ordered delivery from them two nights ago. It was a large order! Samosa, porota with egg, goat curry, channa masala, malai kofta, cauliflower appetizer, etc. They delivered the food on time, which was great. The food actually tasted okay. Again, nothing to call the motherland about but it was edible for the evening. Then… the trouble starts. It starts with my father. He spent the night in the bathroom. Then my friend suffered the whole night, barely getting any sleep. Then I suffered all throughout work yesterday, practically calling out sick for the rest of the day because I couldn’t stand the stomach pain. Mind you, none of us actually mentions this to each other until the end of the day so there wasn’t any«influencing» happening in between but at the end of the day, when we were talking to each other, we discovered the common culprit to be the food from Mumbai Spices. We were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. We called them yesterday and spoke to someone. He said he was extremely busy at the restaurant and will call back in ten minutes. Over an hour passes by and no call. We call them again and they said the same thing. Give them our number and they will call as soon as they can. It’s the next day… still no call. We called them several times when we realized they were not going to call back and they made the same promises to call back — still no callbacks When someone calls you and tells you they’ve gotten SICK from YOUR food, you perk up and pay attention. This is your business, I’m assuming this is your livelihood. You better pay attention to the customer. Chances are, we’re not the only ones getting sick that night. Because of their terrible customer service(or lack thereof), their vomit-inducing food, and the food’s lackluster taste, I will personally never come back and will warn my friends and family against this place.

Went on a rainy day for the lunch buffet, my hubby, son and I were the only people there but the food was hot, fresh and a decent selection. 3 meat choices, veggie choices, a nice salad, fresh Naan, could’ve been spicier, I am Indian after all but sure the usual clientele prefers less spicy. The Ras Malai wasn’t the most masterly done dish but the milk malai was delicious and drank a lot.

I love Indian food and I must say I had Many experiences in different Indian restaurants. Mumbai Spice was ok. I enjoyed my samosa, mango lassie, tandoori chicken meal and the cauliflower. I’m yet to taste another garlic nan that I can say hmm, but the butter nan was savory. I would come back again, especially to try their weekend brunch from 12−4pm. The waiter explained they have as many as 30 varieties of food for $ 16.95. The staff showed great hospitality and were very attentive. They do need to add some décor to the place, it was a little cold looking. This place has a lot of space for catering. May 21, 2014 My left over Food tasted better the next day: D
