I LOVE this place. I love breakfast in general, but everything that i have ordered from this place has been delicious. I recently moved(used to live 10 minutes away) and i still drive the now 35 minutes to Honeyberry. Its so worth it. The place is homey, the employees are happy, the bathrooms are clean, the food is fantastic. Check it out. You’ll be happy you did.

Arrived and was promptly seated. Inside is spacious and clean. Ordered the broccoli and cheese omelet. W/pancakes and side order of bacon. Food took a little longer to arrive than I’m used too but was good. Our waitress was very nice and service was above average. Coffee cup was topped off continuously. Would gladly come back abs recommend to others traveling through Arlington Heights area.

Visited at noon on a busy weekday. Service was stellar and food arrived hot. Had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes for lunch. Delicious! I’m quite particular about meatloaf, and this was a «special,» — almost as good as my own! Real potatoes, perfectly seasoned and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Next time we’ll come for breakfast.

My wife and were at at Honeyberry Café shortly after it opened in spring of 2013. We remember the food and service being standard — not out of this world, but not bad enough that we wouldn’t go back. We also remembered the staff giving us a hard time about our baby stroller. Our baby was only a couple of months old at the time, and it was easier for us to bring in the stroller, since the restaurant doesn’t have slings for the baby carrier. I don’t remember the exact reason given, but it was made clear to us at the time that the stroller was not particularly welcome in the restaurant. As it happened, we were recently running errands in the area and thought Honeyberry Café would be a convenient stop for brunch with our now two and a half year old and new baby(again, a couple of months old). Remembering our previous experience, we left the stroller in the car, but asked for a booth so the baby carrier would be secure. We were informed that if we wanted a high chair for the two and a half year old, we couldn’t have a booth. We gave up and walked out. In summary, this restaurant is not accommodating for families with small children. Maple Café in Buffalo Grove or any Egg Harbor Café location can provide a similar menu with better quality and service.

Great staff. It’s a big restaurant, so the line moves fast on the weekends. Through they serve lunch foods(sandwiches, salads etc.), their crowning achievement is definitely the pancakes. Good environment for groups.

I love going to breakfast at this restaurant. The décor is contemporary and clean. The staff are all nice and efficient. The food is amazing! I’m keeping it short and sweet. Everything I’ve ordered(and the bites I’ve stolen from friend’s plates) is always super fresh and deeelish. I work at a breakfast restaurant and don’t even like pancakes but when I come to honeyberry I always get them as a side(my particular favorite is the strawberry Nutella). They must use a homemade batter for those because dang, best pancakes I’ve ever had!

This is a regular weekend place for us and I have never had any complaints. It is a very standard breakfast place and the food is always good. The staff is very nice and it never takes long to get our food. My daughter loves the Mickey Mouse pancakes.

Food was good but the service terrible. Waitress looked and acted miserable. She was slow to do everything and the only smile was at the end. Would go back if employees were happier.

A great place for weekend breakfast! I agree with the other reviews here in regards to the food quality and portions… fresh ingredients… satisfying but not gluttonous. The skillets are excellent as are the crepes. Begin the day with fresh squeezed OJ or superb coffee along with prompt, friendly service. Try to go early as Honeyberry fills up pretty quickly as the morning progresses. Been to many other restaurants in the area: Al’s Snack Shop, Gail’s Carriage Inn, and yes, even Walker Brothers to name just a few, but Honeyberry ranks at the top of the rise & shine food chain. I’ve yet to sample the lunch selections, but after enjoying a delicious, relaxing breakfast, lunch can’t be all that bad.

Diamond in the rough. Had a wonderful salad that had Pomegranate dressing, Avocados, Blue berries, walnuts, strawberries. Was really good. Was able to recreate this at home. Pomegranate dressing did not some out so well though. Fresh Strawberry dressing works just as well.

I love this place for weekend breakfast. We actually live closer to Walker Brothers but I prefer Honey Berry so much more and drive the extra distance. The service on weekend is always excellent. There was one time I went there on a week day and the server was pretty unfriendly but one unfriendly service out of 20+ isn’t bad at all. Right now my favorite thing to order is the grilled chicken skillet with poached eggs and no potatoes. They always get it right — the food comes out so quickly, the jam they serve with the english muffins is delicious and my coffee cup is never cold or more than half empty.

Food was delicious. We had skillets that were very favorable. I have never been disappointed in the food. Service? Well service was very questionable. Our waitress had a sour look on her face the entire time. Her attitude matched the face. We had to keep asking her for more coffee, cream, water, etc. She wasn’t a happy camper. When we asked for our check, she«slammed» it down on our table. Really? There are too many good breakfast places in the area. Based on poor service, only, I don’t know if I will return. Owners, please train your staff. A smile can go a long way.

This is our go to breakfast spot. Every time we come here, we experience great service. We probably have ordered most of everything in the breakfast menu and they are all outstanding. The lox and bagel is our favorite, the Orange juices are fresh not from concentrate and typically fresh squeezed, the eggs are eggs and they cook to order with perfection, and made to order lattes and cappuccinos are great. In other words, this spot has every element of breakfast figured out. Give them a shot and you won’t be disappointed.

Well, that was a brief but impactful breakfast. There was good food, good service, lively discussion – both in person and on Facebook – and we were in and out so fast we would get to the campground just in time to crack open a few beers before the show. Brent really liked his French toast. When I asked him why he still had food on his plate he said that he just didn’t want to keep eating. That a boy, Brent! We don’t always have to be in the clean plate club. I liked my omelette and my hashbrowns. The pancakes were good. The coffee was just right. For a random, emergency breakfast stop, we were quiet satisfied and that’s why Honeyberry in Arlington Heights gets a good rating of 3.25 Brent faces

If I can give this place 0 stars, I would. If the handwritten«Now Hiring: Experience Required» sign on the front door doesn’t scream absolute desperation, the quality(or lack there of) of the current staff will. This was our second and LAST visit here. I ordered a skillet with no chorizo in it. When it arrived, it was as ordered until I took a couple bites out of it. There were a couple scattered pieces of chorizo in it. I notified the waitress. She took the meal away. It seems like when she took it to the manager, the manager scrambled the meal up to dig for these rogue pieces of chorizo. Then he brought it back to our table and insisted there was no chorizo in it and asked us to show him where it is. Excuse me??? First off, I don’t appreciate my honesty being questioned. Second of all, how am I to be assured that the same guy that’s questioning my integrity didn’t actually pick off all the chorizo pieces when he took my meal in the kitchen? This manager was a complete joke. If he can’t even trust a customer to not make up lies to get free meals and has to accuse them, he may not have any left soon. Save your money or go to a place that respects their customers.

The food is just okay for brunch. We ordered the Irish skillet and the banana bread french toast. The skillet was okay, the corned beef was pretty obviously from a can, but that’s to be expected for most restaurants. The potatoes in the skillet were a little undercooked, making them a little too firm to comfortably chew, while the peppers were totally uncooked, making them standout as an odd addition to the mix . The french toast was much better, and would have been 4 – 5 stars, had the other meal had not been so bad. The staff was friendly, though rushed. They brought the bill only a minute or two after the food had arrived, taking up a lot of the table top and giving the impression that they wanted us to get out as fast as we could. Overall, the meal was okay, a little pricey, and probably not worth a second visit as there a lot of better brunch spots in the area.

I sit here wondering why I’ve never written a review for Honeyberry. I’ve been here about five times and it never disappoints. Typically you’ll find me getting some sort of pancake — Chocolate Chip of Red Velvet. Unlike some, I never feel rushed or anything. The servers are always very nice. One time I even had the Tuna Melt for lunch and it was great. This is just a really nice place to visit if you’re not in the mood for making breakfast at home.

Always a great breakfast joint. After a horrible experience on Valentine’s Night dinner at 5th Ave Sushi, came to heal to an awesome homemade breakfast the next morning and awesome capucino. The service is excellent and food is served within 15 minutes even on the busy days. Yes it is a bit on a pricey side but its wellworth it! The food tastes exceptional and very friendly staff. The kids love this place as well. Will come here every weekend. I recommend their Honeyberry Crepes! I always get those as a treat!

If you want a better brunch than Panera bread but aren’t interested in waiting or dealing with the madness of Egg Harbor Café, come to Honeyberry! My friends and I used to be regulars at Egg Harbor Café over by Northwest Hwy but this became our new haunt after just one breakfast. If you want a Saturday brunch but don’t want to make a reservation, this is the place to go. They have tons of seating and the hostess is quick to seat. Once you’ve sat down, the waitstaff is prompt and provide excellent suggestions for breakfast if you want it. And once they take your order, it’s less than 10 minutes until you’re served. Fast! But delicious food! Last time I came, I ordered the Olé Omelette which had spicy chorizo sausage, jalapeño peppers, onions, avocado and Chihuahua cheese served with salsa and sour cream. For a side I had fruit and an English muffin. All for the low price of $ 8.75. An excellent deal! My friends had the pancakes and eggs and the Hawaiian omelette. I tasted all and everything was perfect. I will definitely come again! Excellent price, excellent meal. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the menu isn’t that exciting. Everything is standard breakfast fair. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, it just isn’t ~*exciting*~. Would I recommend an out-of-towner to make the trek to Arlington Heights for this restaurant? No. Would I recommend this place to all my local friends? Definitely. It has the small-town breakfast feel. So it isn’t exceptionally incredibly amazing but when you want a Saturday brunch with friends, you don’t need exciting. You just need good food, good prices, good service, and a good environment.
