YUM!!! Super pizza — great service and owner on premise. Cute atmosphere. Go here, you will not be sorry — it’s hard to find a cute little neighborhood place like this

I really want to like Lou’s because the location is walking distance from me and the interior is fun and cozy. Unfortunately I have given Lou’s three tries and nothing I’ve had makes me want to pick Lou’s over a restaurant farther away. I’ve tried their salads, pizza, calamari and Italian beef. The food is home chef quality. Good if someone cooked it for dinner but not what I’m willing to pay for.

Ordered delivery over the weekend through Grunhub. When we didn’t get a delivery after an hour and half we called. When we called Ryan let us know that 2 Grubhub orders came in and ours was«missed.» It was already 10 at night so we just had it credited to use later. Tonight we decided to use the credit we had received. We ordered over the phone(with Ryan) who let us know it would be an hour. At an hour and half we called to see where the food was. Ryan let us know that it was coming out of the oven any minute and then the driver would be delivering it. Our first order was completely ignored and our second took 2 hrs to be delivered. Never ordering from here again. Terrible customer service.

AWFUL! tried this place for the first time tonight and it was honestly very bad. To start we ordered delivery and on our containers they leaked sauce and covered in a black charcol??? Got all over our table. On to the bad food, we ordered the grilled calamari and the fried it came cold, VERY tough, chewy and was the worst we have had. To top it off the grilled had maybe 8 squid pieces for almost $ 10 a plate that’s cheap! Then we ordered pizza fries, I get it the fries will be a little soggy due to the piza sauce BUt ours was drenched in sauce and we couldn’t eat it, it was mush. Then the beer nuggets, what was that?! Huge, hard over cooked filled with dough no taste of beer and came with dried cheese all on the bottom. This was just an awful meal not returning!

Had it delivered only took about 30 minutes. Great pizza! Will definitely have this again on my next trip to the Windy City.

I had the thin pizza and beer nuggets. The pizza was ok, sausage had a good flavor. The beer nuggets were not very good. They did not have any flavor. Just tasted like dough. Very friendly staff. I used the groupon deal. If I paid the full menu price without the groupon, it would not have been worth it for the so so quality of the food.

The interior was clean and spacious with a decent décor, the prices were alright(especially with a groupon) and the service was friendly. However, the meal disappointed when it came to the food. The beer nuggets were a bit on the tough side and were mostly tasteless even with the marinara dipping sauce. The thin crust was alright, but the crust lacked any substance(was similar to a cracker crust) and the pizza was a little light on toppings. The pan pizza dough was nearly tasteless(not even salty) and was completely unmemorable even with toppings and sauce. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all, it still took 90 minutes to complete the meal — mostly spend waiting on the food to arrive.

This place got the job done in terms of feeding our hunger. It wasn’t our first option since the place we originally wanted to go to was only take out. It wasn’t spectacular but it wasn’t bad. The waitress was very nice and very attentive and I liked the atmosphere. It was nice and clean which I always look for. It was a tad bit expensive for their pizza and had an all you can eat crab leg special that really threw me for a loop at a pizza joint. All in all, I’d be open minded for trying it again.

The mother-in-law was in town visiting and we decided to come here not only b/c of the Unilocal reviews but also b/c of a restaurant dot come certificate for $ 25.00. With that we got a loaf of warm focaccia bread with a garlic butter spread(Yum) on the house, calamari, a huge salad with all the fixings and a 20″ pizza with a whole lot of cheese and sausage, pepperoni and green pepper. I only had the sausage slices and the sausage was very tasty — they do not skimp on anything here. The thin crust was cooked perfectly. There were 4 of us and we had a big take home box after! The server was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back to support this business, as well as to eat some fantastic pizza ;-)

Give these guys a try, you won’t be disappointed. Took a shot here due to a Restaurant dot Com offer. Typically you go in thinking ‘I’ll try it and limit the risk’. The good news here is the deal just made it astoundingly awesome. 4 of us ate like royalty — fresh foccacia bread, on the house; fried calamari, 2 huge salads — like crazy big and not just lettuce…20″ pizza with more meat than I’ve seen on a single pie in a while. Their crust and cheese are top notch. We took my Mom, who’s a pretty good judge of pizza and she loved it. Our server, forgot his name, was attentive and cordial, did a good job. Oh, and with the aforementioned deal — all that was $ 33. They have specials daily, which are good deals, but even at retail it’s worth it. The restaurant is smaller but very clean and modern and the entire staff worked to ensure a good experience. Keep up the good work, guys.

Sorry to tell you my fellow Unilocalers but anybody who thinks this place qualifies as good Chicago style pizza is bonkers! I used the Groupon offer they had for a 16″ inch 2 topping thin crust, 1 appetizer, and 2 sodas for $ 17, which on the surface is a really good deal. However you are only allowed to choose from two appetizers, garlic bread or fried dough which was a disappointment. We ordered a sausage and onion pizza and although it was not the worst I have ever had, I have to tell you that the pizza sauce was seemingly a canned sauce with no real flavor and was actually bitter and somewhat sour tasting. The pizza was heavily over sauced to the point that the cheese and toppings slid right off with the first bite. There were so many onions on the pizza I thought I was eating onions with a side of pizza, whoah! The sausage surprisingly was the best part of the pizza and after one or two squares of mediocrity I started just picking the sausage off and eating that by itself. Garlic Bread was okay at best and the soda was flat. Yipee! Lastly, and this part of it I honestly do not know if I am wrong or right but I can tell you that I purchase a lot of Groupons and I have never once been asked to pay the tax on the total dollar amount of food purchased. In fact I have never been asked to pay anything more than what I paid for the Groupon. The owner arugued with me that every other restaurant owner using Groupon offers was wrong and he was right. I asked him why it didn’t state that in the fine print and he told me that it was Groupon’s fine print on the site and not his, which is not true because it clearly outlines the deal he puts out there. I just thought it was bad business to argue with a customer and proceed to tell them that everyone else is wrong and he is right. Maybe that’s true, but there is one thing we can all be right about and that is the fact that I will never return!!!

For years I had always been meaning to try this place out even when it was previously called 30’s Pizza Factory. New ownership created what is now called Lou’s Pizza Factory. My husband purchased a Groupon deal for them a couple months back. The deal was 19 dollars for a 16 inch pizza with two toppings, two beers/sodas, and an appetizer. We arrived here last Thursday evening. It wasn’t too busy, which worked to our advantage for having an extremely friendly and personable experience. Jeff the co-owner was in the back making the pizza while Rebecca his wife was our server. You can tell Jeff is extremely passionate about his pizza and restaurant The fried dough bites served with a side of marinara tasted amazing. Served fresh and warm and sprinkled with a generous amount of sprinkled Parmesan cheese. Rebecca and I discussed what a great dessert idea option it would be to have fried dough bites rolled in cinnamon sugar and sides of raspberry, chocolate, and caramel dipping sauces. The pizza tasted different and unique from any other thin crust pizza my husband and I had ever tasted. The first bite you like it and that likeness turns to love. We ordered our thin crust pizza well done and was crisp along with very fresh ingredients. I was surprised at the end of our meal when Jeff came to our table with the(complimentary) dessert idea his wife Rebecca and I talked about. Fried dough bites rolled in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with a chocolate sauce on top=HEAVEN! How could I ever have not dined here is beyond me! We look forward to coming here again for pizza… oh and one other LITTLE thing… unlimited crab legs for 24.99 on Saturday nights! My husband and I will be telling everyone we know how wonderful this place is! Thank you to Jeff and Rebecca for their hospitality!

My family visited yesterday. We really liked the pizza! Very crisp and flavorful! Beer nuggets were okay. Didn’t care for the fried calamari. Very fishy tasting. Wait staff was very friendly! We had a second visit for pizza last night.(First paragraph was a week ago) They drove from Addison to have the pizza again. Still good and met the owners. Very friendly.

Anyone who calls themselves pizza aficionado and gives this place 5 stars clearly hasn’t had great pizza. This pizza is awful and tasteless. It tastes no different than a pizza from a frozen food section from a grocery store. If you want a great pizza and you’re ever in Chicago go to Spacca Napoli Pizzeria then compare those two and you’ll understand what 5 star pizza should taste like.

I happened to stumble upon a Groupon deal(One 16 inch two topping pizza with an appetizer and two drinks for 20 dollars) and decided to give this place a try. I was immediately and very pleasantly surprised from the very moment I entered the restaurant to find the staff there incredibly friendly and welcoming! The server brought out some appetizer bread with butter and I had to be careful not to get myself full off them since that combo was addicting! I ordered a 16 inch thin crust pepperoni pizza with hot giardiniera peppers. The pizza was amazing! The crust was at perfect thickness and very crispy. While we waited for our pizza, Lou, the owner, came out and greeted each and every one of his customers personally, and we could tell how passionate he was about what he did. He took tremendous pride in his recipes! I also tried the beer nuggets, which honestly was just okay for me. But overall, I give this place 5 stars! Definitely a place to visit!

Glad I found this place. Pizza aficionado here, first job was for Gino’s east where I learned to make deep dish pies for the legendary Chicago pizza maker and also learned about what makes a quality pizza. Lou’s pizza factory is quality pizza. Not many in this area could compare. Me and my girlfriend went to check this place out(it used to be 30’s pizza… or something like that, either way their pizza was no Bueno) anyway, it’s a New Owner and let me just say this … THANKGODFORLOU! We had good beer(there was a very formidable selection of domestic and micro-brews, I am a big beer drinker and had no problem finding something I was happy with(Sam Adams) my gf had shock top raspberry and LOVEDIT We had the cheesy garlic bread for an appetizer and I have to recommend anyone and everyone to try it! It’s cheesy garlic bread just like it’s supposed to be, honestly this is probably the biggest reason I’ll come back!(Up til now we were very happy and excited, marinara sauce was also tasty) The pizza we got had sausage and onion. I almost NEVER get sausage but I did based on the servers recommendations(our server was excellent, young guy who went above and beyond!) The Sausage… oh boy. The sausage is a game-changer for me. I never enjoyed sausage on a pizza til today. I couldn’t stop eating it. Loved it. I wish I could find a negative but it really was on point. We heard they have a cauliflower crust pizza that be spent a lot of time developing, we will be coming back for that.

The new Lou’s pizza had been opened for a few months before we decided to order from there. I have been having an on again off again relationship with being gluten free, and our first order was indicative of it. Gluten free 10in pizza: I believe they said the crust was made of cauliflower. I will be the first to admit, I had never had gluten free crust before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I believe the crust was made with cauliflower, so it wasn’t crispy at all. Kind of mushy to be honest. Tasted decent enough, but I was literally scooping up the crust off my plate. Caprese salad: Standard…nothing great or bad about it. Beer nuggets: Now I was used to the beer nuggets at 30s, which were sprinkled with cheese and crispy on the outside, softer on the inside. These were a little more chewy throughout the nugget. Again, not bad, but just not exactly what I was hoping for. We were big fans of 30s pizza factory and were sad to see it go. I think it will always be difficult when you take over a restaurant that the local people enjoyed because you will be compared to the previous establishment. We will be back to support the local business and try more things on the menu.

Meh. The pizza itself is definitely not so great. The kinda cheese that pulls everything off the crust in one bite. Would definitely not go out of my way for this stuff but i have had worse so i think it is fair to say that you should try it and give it a chance because it might be more your style than it was for me. The cheesy garlic bread was decent too and had some good marinara served with it. when we walked in there was only one guy visible and he was awesome and polite. Then we had some other guy that frankly was annoying. He was trying to be really nice so he gets points for that but legit he was just trying to hard. There was also one more who helped us out for a minute that was cool. Either way i don’t think i will be back but we shall see, i am curious to see what their calamari is like.

We used to go here when it was 30’s Pizza. Decided to try out the new place. We were not disappointed! Their Gluten-Free menu is delicious! They have just released a carb free(ok…there is .25 grams of carbs PER14″ PIZZA!!) Cauliflower crust is WONDERFUL! We highly recommend this restaurant for those with gluten and carb dietary issues. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly! Gluten-free beverages as well! Enjoy!!!

Went because of a Groupon and I’m always willing to try a pizza place. We got an appetizer, pizza and two beers with the coupon and it was worth it. The thin crust pizza was lacking some toppings(more sausage and bacon please) but had really good flavor and a crispy crust which I love. They have table service and everyone was super friendly. Good bottled beer selection and a couple of draft beers too. We also got something called ‘beer bites’ which is baled pizza dough and a killer marinara sauce. I would to have that sauce on some pasta on the next visit. Will be back.
