I was new to the area and Amy’s salon came recommended from a friend. The staff was so friendly, and the environment was calm and relaxing. Nicole did a great job on my cut and color. I love it! I would recommend Amy’s salon to anyone in the area!

I live within walking distance to the salon. Made an appointment to check it out. Very lovely place, foot rests while shampooing, quiet and calming and great antidote to hustle bustle. I have very short hair and have had many a mediocre cut — not here. Got a great cut at great price. Stylist took time to ask about what I wanted and I’m very happy with the cut. Will definitely go back.

The salon — NEW, just opened in February. It was easy to find on Mass Ave(it’s right between the Laundromat and Great Wok). You can park out front or there is a small lot in the back, off of Forest St. The salon is absolutely gorgeous inside. I love the color scheme, chandelier hanging in the front, crystal accent lighting over the front desk, and the full length mirror at every stylist station. It’s a very relaxing clean space. The service — I had my haircut by Amy. She is super friendly and outgoing. I really enjoyed our conversation. I was offered water or coffee which was very nice. I didn’t know exactly how short I wanted to go with my hair but Amy was able to find a happy medium that I was extremely pleased with. The products used in my hair smelled phenomenal and I didn’t have to do my hair for the next 2 days(time saver!). The price — My hair was pretty long(down to my lower back) and prices vary on factors such as that as well as if you want your hair blow dryed. I did a wash, cut, and blow dry which came to $ 45. Compared to prices I’ve paid in the past at other salons(between $ 50 – 75) this was a great price. The products — The salon offers a few different product lines: L’anza, Davines, AG hair cosmetics, and Morrocan Oil products. I bought the AG hair cosmetics volume spray which came with a mini BB cream(great travel size!) — it smells amazing and feels great in my hair. The price was typical for a salon, $ 20, but I always purchase salon products because let’s face it they’re way better for your hair! Payment — The salon accepts all major credit cards(American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover), cash, and check. They can also add tip to credit/debit which is nice because not too many places do that anymore. Overall — My experience at Amy’s Salon exceeded my expectations. I’ve been to my fair share of salons in the past year or two trying to find a stylist who would cut my hair the way I liked and wasn’t outrageously priced. I will definitely continue to come here, I already have my next appointment schedule!
