Okay fine… Bada Bing… you’ve convinced me that a Chicken Spiedie is pretty darn tasty. I got a chance to try one on a food truck Thursday. This was after careful debate between a cheesesteak or a Spiedie I figured this I can get a cheesesteak whenever but a Spiedie I’ve never tried before so what better time. The Spiedie comes with either marinated pork or chicken served in a roll or over arugula. The wait was about 15 – 20 mins or so before I finally got a chance to order and the maybe about 5 – 20 mins to receive my sandwich I decide that the most minimalist would be style #1 which was tomato, mozzarella and basil pesto. That way sauce wasn’t going to overwhelm the overall flavor of my marinated chicken. I also decided to a me Arugula I need my greens for the day. However they do offer other Spiedie styles such as the BLT, Buffalo, BBQ and the original. They also have Irish salted potatoes cannolis and a few other items on their menu board. Overall the bread was fluffy and had a great texture held up nicely as a sandwich flavor was clean and delicious chicken was moist and juicy and all the flavors were harmonious especially for a caprese sandwich the arugula added the extra freshness the sandwich needed to round it out. I am a fan for $ 9 and I get huge chunks of marinated chicken and a caprese can’t beat that. Quality and freshness you can taste an Italian style sandwich.

Pretty good cheesesteak, friendly staff. This food truck is one of the better cheesesteaks in the area. Comes to Rosslyn maybe once or twice a month. Cheesesteak with Wiz, hot peppers, and onions is solid and really good. I had their spedie once(pork) and it was a little dry. Bonus points for only charging canned drinks for a dollar. I will literally go out of my way to get a drink if a truck makes you pay more for a can.

Just had My very first Spiedie! It was amazing. I had chicken, with provolone cheese, and baby arugula with Sriracha sauce. Totally amazing. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, juicy, not dry, bread was even totally fresh. I ate it so fast I couldn’t even take a picture.

Walked up to this cheesesteak truck that was parked at Balston Metro yesterday… Shelled out $ 9 for a cheesesteak and wasn’t disappointed. It wasn’t too greasy and was super tasty. It was soft but didn’t fall apart. It was decent sized and I was pleased with my lunch and my coworkers were jealous. :)

I’ve eaten here twice now and it’s now one of my favorite trucks. My first trip here I ordered a lamb special salad. The lamb was super tasty, but a tad overcooked in spots which leads to chewy lamb. The rest of the salad was excellent with generous portions of greens and goat cheese. My second trip I ordered a #3, «The Big Pete» with chicken and provolone. Really good combination. The chicken was perfectly cooked and there was plenty of it. Great flavors mixed with crispy bacon and chipotle mayo. A must try. The big«thing» is the marinaded and grilled meats, and they definitely are the star of the show here.

I signed up with Unilocal just to give this review. First of all, they got my order wrong which I didn’t realize until I had gotten back to my office. I ordered the«The Big Pete» chicken spidies salad after making sure if it didn’t have cheese(it doesn’t); I got the«The Bing» which comes with mozzarella slices. Unfortunately, I can’t eat cheese so 1⁄3 my order is inedible(to me). Also, I find it odd that they would get this order wrong because the reason I ordered the Big Pete was because it’s the only thing on the menu that doesn’t have cheese… In any case, the spidies chicken chunks were super dry, hard, and slightly salty. The sauce on them isn’t anything special. Basically I paid $ 8 for unappetizing chicken, halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, a lot of arugula, and one of those dressing packets that you get on planes(balsamic vinagrette). No thanks. I feel bad because the guys were super nice and friendly, and probably would’ve fixed my order if I hadn’t already come all way back to my office, buuuuut you should not spend money here.

Had a spiedie with pork in sangweech. The pork was in flavorful sauce but no evidence of chargrill and did not go well with the fresh mozzarella and tomato — all of this on a soggy roll. Also tried the prime rib cheesesteak w whiz which was better with tender meat but the whole sandwich was over salted.

I hate to give two stars, but the fact that Bada Bing does not update their location each day is very frustrating. Especially when they say on Wednesday’s they are either in Crystal City or Tyson’s Corner(not exactly two places close by that you can just drive by to see if they are there). Not only that, but there are two phone numbers listed on their website — I’ve never once had anyone answer the phone. One number rings and rings and then goes to voicemail. The other number doesn’t even ring — just straight to voicemail. I’ve also sent them emails and never received a response. The cheesesteaks are delicious, but if you won’t communicate where you are, I can’t give a 5-star review.

I tried this at my church Food Truck Sunday event. I got their Philly Cheesesteak which was exceptionally good. They’re reasonably priced for what you get. The sandwiches are fairly large and stuffed full with meaty goodness. As far as their canolis, they’re sweet and full of sugar as one would expect from the cute little Italian dessert. If I saw them around; I’d definitely hit them up again.

I attended the Truckeroo event today in DC. It had been a while since I had Bada Bing, roughly six months, and normally got the cheesesteak, which use to be delicious. Prior to today, I have eaten at the food truck between 8 – 12 times. However today, at Truckeroo I ordered the cheesesteak, it was awful. They have changed the bread, it use to be a harder roll, it was soft and not as big. I got it with cheese and onions«wiz-wit». There was hardly any onions and only a small amount of cheese. Then the steak had no taste. To top it off, I asked for lots of «hot –sauce» and all i got was a speck of some pepper spread. I went back and asked for«hot-sauce» and received some Sriracha(I love Sriracha, but what makes a good cheeasesteak is to have some red hot or texas pete type, which they use to have). Overall it was awful. I highly recommend not giving them any business until they make a better sandwich like they use to. Even the pictures on Unilocal look amazing, but mine looked nothing like them, sorry I didn’t take a picture, I was too upset my sandwich sucked. I even told my co-work it was good before tasting mine, and he said his was not good either. I actually went back and gave them my input. The guy I talked to did say that have made changes(I interpret that as try to cut-cost over offering better quality) and thanks for input. But I think they should have offered me more or a coupon for a second chance, once they make appropriate changes. I left disappointed and went to another food truck for lunch. Again very disappointing for a $ 9 cheesesteak.

My favorite food truck of ALLTIME. Their pork sandwich(called a ‘Spiedie’), with ample perfect, bite-sized chunks of tender, well-seasoned pork, is my fav on the menu. I like mine topped with bacon(why not!?) and spicy mayo, because spicy mayo makes everything better. But don’t forget the ‘Salt Potatoes’, because they are amazing. Served in a pool of butter, they will bring tears to your eyes if you love potatoes as much as I do. Finish it off with a canolli – crispy shell, perfect filling. Maybe the best little canolli I’ve ever had, and all of it from the back of a truck. These guys are doing it exactly right, and if you see their truck on your street, grab your friends and treat yourself. You won’t regret it.

Wow, what a great food experience. The Cheesesteak and the Bing Spiedie were both fantastic. The guys running the kitchen on the truck couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful! Next time I come to the area I’ll be looking at where they will be set up.

I tried the chicken cheese steak it was good but the chicken chunks need to be chopped up so the texture of the sandwich feels like sliced sub. tasty but chunks too bulky. I like subs to be sliced… the chunks of chicken is kabob like and not sub like. I will try steak next time.

I read about Spiedies sandwiches and became excited. So I got one of their chicken and pork spiedies from here, and left unimpressed. I felt the flavors were just meh. I feel if you are going to pay $ 8 – 10 from a food truck, you better be impressed because they are making good profit margins. I felt the sandwiches were just average, and I’m not coming back to this truck. I feel that many people like getting food from a food truck, but to me, most of them are pretty bland and overpriced.

Whoa. Great people of DC metropolita, this is how a cheesesteak is done. Steak wit and hots. mmm. I was shocked that such quality came from a truck in the winter cold. Honestly, this steak was better than most(maybe all?) of the ones I’ve tried in and near Philly. No longer will I have to deal with Steakums labelled«steak n cheese» in this area. With mayo. Who does that!!! This is the real deal. I have no problem shelling out the pretty expensive $ 9 to get it. Oh and the amoroso-ish roll keeps it together. So critical

Until visiting Bada Bing, I’d never heard of a spiedie. Apparently, it’s cubed, marinated meat grilled on a skewer. For those from Massachusetts, the greatest state ever, we would call this type of meat a kabob and we’d find it at our corner, usually Greek-owned, pizza and sub shop. For those from DC(or living here), this is nothing like what you would consider a kabob. However, in eating this sub, I was transported back to Massachusetts. It was good, but I didn’t love chicken kabob back home, and I don’t love it here, either, even if does have a different name. The ingredients on my choice, the #1-tomato, mozzarella, and basil, were fresh and I liked the addition of some salt and pepper. I would have preferred a toasted sub roll, and maybe they do that, but I didn’t ask. The sub is ginormous, and enough for two meals. They also offer a salad option. Staff was very friendly and he kept calling me «miss», which I loved. Good job, sir, good job. The«ma’am» thing is getting old. This probably is not going to be on my regular rotation, but I highly recommend trying it.

Great salads. Mixed greens and perfectly grilled chicken. Toppings are a bit sparse and limited variety, but they’re supposed to be in sandwiches. I like all of them for their good kick of flavor. That being said, their bread isn’t fresh or high quality. That’s what keeps it from being a 4 star review.

Only have tried this place during Truckeroo and I get it almost everytime I go(maybe 4 out of 6 times?). Speedies are soo good!!! It’s a unique twist on chicken subs! The steak and cheese is pretty bad ass also. Seasoned well, always piping hot, cooked to order and love the Whiz cheese. Juices running down my fingers with each bite. The same asian lady always takes my order and shes super nice. She always talks to us, just making great conversation while we wait. $ 10 isn’t too bad for a sub either with the amount of meat thats in it. Badabing badaboom there you go a great sub for you!

Great stuff! It was a little more expensive for just a sandwich that came out of a truck, but definitely worth the walk when it’s in Ballston(Thursdays). I’ve had the #4– Joey’s Special(chicken), and the #1– The Bing(chicken), and both were really good. #4 is probably my favorite, but #1 was plain and simple, got the job done. Only complaint is that it only comes to my area once a week, but that might be a good thing since it’s sorta expensive.

Great selection, flavorful food, and friendly staff. My only complaint — they don’t come to Ballston often enough! I’ve tried a number of their items so far and am looking forward to trying more. While the Cheese-steaks aren’t as good as Jim’s(in West Philly) they certainly rival Pat’s or Geno’s and are some of the best and most authentic you can get the DC metro area. Chicken comes in seasoned, tasty chunks and steak is what you would expect — thinly sliced, and cooked to order. The sides, spiedies, and salads are a nice addition to the menu and round out what might otherwise be an overly simple menu. The meat is flavorful and well prepared and with the various toppings available you have an infinite number of variations sure to keep your taste buds interested each week. Prices are reasonable and orders are served up quick and fresh. Additionally, the staff always provide a smile and pleasant commentary! Try out Bada Bing, you won’t be disappointed.
