This was my first foray into the food truck craze and it was definitely a positive one. They specialize in Gyros and, as their name states, Mediterranean fare. I chose the Lamb Gyro at the affordable price of $ 7. A great price actually in the Ballston area of Arlington. This food truck is conveniently located to the metro stop and just a very short walk from Ballston Mall. My gyro was delcious. The pita was soft and fresh, the lamb was flavorful and savory with the perfect mix of tzatziki and feta thrown in. I also had the baklava which was not quite as wonderful, it was a little mushy and just not as good as others I’ve sampled. The food truck staff was friendly, accommodating and quick. They readily honored my request to hold the tomatoes on my gyro. They also offer a spicy option of the gyro upon request.

I’ve seen this tiny food truck many times as they regularly park on the sidewalk in Ballston. Run by two woman and they are usually pretty busy with their large fan base. Stopped by today after the lunch rush to find no line, so I thought I’d give them a try. Only things left were the chicken or lamb gyro. Went with the lamb. Had Tzatziki sauce, lettuce, and tomatoes. The veggies were fresh with lots of crunch, but the meat was not particularly moist nor flavorful. Perhaps due to it being almost 3pm. It was decent by food truck standards and I would consider it again in a pinch, but at $ 7, I would rather hit up the Metro Halal cart down the street which is more bang for the same buck. This is food truck food that tastes like it came from a food truck, no surprises here. Just ok.

Just checked out this food cart last week as it did have a shorter line and some veg options. I ended up getting the veggie gyro and they did ask if I wanted it spicy or not. It was kind of bland so I wish I had asked for it spicy. It was filling and they are very friendly. I did like how the truck is slightly away from the big mass of other trucks. I’d probably try the veggie platter next time and ask for the spice on the side in case spicy is really spicy!

This is one of my favorite food trucks/carts in Arlington. It is in Ballston almost everyday which is a relief since I am constantly complaining about the lack of decent lunch options in the Ballston area. Unlike the trucks, which vary day-by-day from very good to very very bad, I can always count on Mediterranean Delights to serve up solid food at below average prices. What could be better than that? I always get the lamb platter. It is the perfect amount of food for lunch where you are full but not overly so, and it is only $ 7. You get rice, a hearty portion of lamb, either chickpeas or green beans, and a salad. Do yourself a favor and get the chickpeas AND green beans instead of the salad. They are both excellent. Topped off with a yogurt and hot sauce drizzle, there is not much not to like. The food may not be fancy or trendy like a lot of the trucks these days are trying to be, but that is part of the appeal. Never too long lines and simple food served by a pair of friendly ladies, I hope they last a long time!

Excellent food! The chicken and lamb are spiced to perfection, the salads are fresh and appealing, the soups – oh, that white bean soup redolent of garlic! – are rich and satisfying, and the dolmas are the best I’ve ever tasted(and I’ve tasted quite a few). I haven’t tried the desserts yet, but the baklava as described by other patrons is definitely somewhere in my future. Go to this food cart. Eat. Enjoy.

This place is good and the owner is very friendly. However, it doesn’t really offer anything«out of the ordinary», especially since the(two) Metro Halal carts on the next block in Ballston(everyday) offer the same entrée choices cheaper(plus additional indian/pakistani dishes), though, this cart does offer some nice additions such as soups, salads, and desserts choices that rotate on the menu. Minor quibble — no knife provided with meals and generally chunks of lamb and some of the salad toppings are not«bite» sized and require cutting which is tough to do with a plastic fork.

So happy to have found such a great food cart in the Ballston area! My favorite menu item is the lamb platter– but everything I’ve tried is so fresh and delicious… plus the owner is super friendly! Will most definitely be making this my go-to spot for lunch when I am in the area! Two-thumbs up

This excellent food cart will satiate the deep hunger among the Ballstonite(a great word if your sense of humor is anything like mine) office crowd for cheap charred chicken with yogurt and spices on top. I’d bet the lamb platter is equally good. The baklava wasn’t excessively sweet, nor was it flaky – perfect for eating on the go. I’ll definitely be back!
