Bahama Bucks

I’m addicted. In one week I’ve been here 3 times to get a drink.
My first time, there was a young man working. He seemed new and I’m pretty sure we learned a few thing together that day. I have only ordered the #16 on the smoothie list (Strawberry bliss with no whip). Crack in a cup. They mix fresh strawberry juice, strawberry ice cream and strawberry syrup to basically create a strawberry super drug for my taste buds. I ordered it in an Avalance, which is the largest size cup. It’s a little on the pricey side but the taste makes up for the coins you spend. Plus the gentleman gave me a punch card. Depending on how cold it is outside you get multiple punches. Once you get 10, you get a free drink at any size. :)

I must say that the customer service here is TOP NOTCH. The employees seem to be younger. Maybe high schoolers and college students. They are super!
The inside looks like a little shack on the beach that serves drink in Hawaii :), so I think it helps left the cold outside mood to just sit in there especially with wome firends.

Bahama Bucks is bae. This place is less than half a mile away from my apartment. I can literally walk here, which is why it’s so easy for me to become a regular, lol. I always make it a mission for me to try a new snow cone flavor each time I visit and these are my hits so far: vanilla, strawberry, cherry, blueberry. These are my misses: mocha java, crème brûlée. Whatever you choose, always ask to add cream in it. That’ll make your cone super delicious! What’s good about this is that they mix cream into the shaved ice at the middle and bottom too, so you won’t run out of cream eating it all from the top. You have no clue how much I appreciate this TT^TT Thank you, BB. Also, you must try their Cocomel Frostalatte. It’s addicting. I’m pretty sure Starbucks fans will love it. The taste is sweet with caramel, but it’s not too overpowering. Perfect for the summer or any spontaneous Texas hot days.
Service is always friendly and at a good speed. If it’s already near closing time and you’re in the area, don’t be afraid to drop by because I’ve noticed that they usually run past 10PM since they’re always packed with customers. But just don’t stay for too long. If you’re craving really badly, just swing by and order something quick to-​go. I always feel bad for the workers having to cater to the late night customers that won’t leave, hah. If you come here a lot, they have punch cards! Buy any 10 items from Bahama Bucks and you’ll get the next one free! They’ll even add extra cream, ice cream, or boosts on the eleventh one. Yaaaas. Also, their spoon changes color based on the temperature. When it’s room temperature, it’s sea green and when it’s cold inside the shaved ice, it turns purple. How awesome is that??? The little umbrellas that come with your snow cone are cute too. Don’t be fooled by their cup sizes. If you don’t eat much or have barely just enough room left for dessert because you stuffed your face prior to coming here, get the baby size because they’ll fill it up over the brim, so it’s a lot more than you think. The only downfall is they don’t have a drive thru :’(That’s okay though. I highly recommend Bahama Bucks. Best to get here before the cold weather starts, but if they’re open in the winter as well, I wouldn’t mind coming here: D

The snow cones here are really good with tons of amazing flavors. They are a tad bit overpriced in my opinion. The wait time was a little long (about 3 or 4 people who ordered after me got their snow cones before me) but at least it was inside with A/​C. I would say that it was worth the visit anyways. I’m definitely going to go on a slower day when I have the chance.

oh. em. gee. I’ll keep this short and sweet. hire at least one person over the age of 17. we waited THIRTY MINUTES for 2 sno cones. we had a total of 4 items. in the process, the girls took back the 2 we had TWICE and remade them, remade at least 1 wrong with each remake… horrible experience. when we finally got all 4, 2 were STILL wrong… this was just ridiculous. one of the girls offered an «apology» & gave us two bogo coupons– yes, I want to patronize the business again after this. *rolls eyes*

Ok first off I want to say that I don’t like sno cones! Not my thing! BUT with that being said they do have other things on their menu for people like me! What I ordered was something called the Vanilla Bean Vista which had vanilla bean (of course!), whipped cream, and espresso. Now upon trying it I automatically compare it to Starbucks’s version of the Vanilla Bean Frappucino, which I love, so I’m already a little skeptical! Unfortunately it did not meet my standards and I wish that I had ordered the chocolate mocha version instead. However!!! It wasn’t horrible!!! Would I order it again? Ok, no… Did I finish it? Yes, I did!!! Would other people like it? I definitely wouldn’t doubt it! But let’s be honest people really only want the sno cones which I can imagine are pretty amazing from what I hear, and from the amount of steady customers I saw coming through the doors the whole time I was there!
Ok, now for the establishment itself! Awesome place! The service was great, fast, and very friendly! I asked for recommendations and I was given personal favorites! The employees seemed to be having a good time, which is something that I like to notice, and yet the service didn’t lack because of it. They were definitely there for the customers! THEY HAVE BOARD GAMES!!! I love places that have board games. Me and my college friends played Apples to Apples, a family of four next to me was playing Jenga, a group of teenage girls were playing Headbanz while a mother and her small child sat and enjoyed their sno cones. Needless to say this place appeals to all age groups and is very family friendly! An awesome hangout for any day of the week!
There is also an outdoor seating area where you can order from an outside menu and they will personally bring your order to your table. They also have a drive thru for anyone who just wants to grab a sno cone on the way home! They seem to have all their bases covered to make it fast and easy for us customers.

I had no idea what this place was for awhile until one day my wife saw a sign for «Bahama Bucks: Coming Soon» and absolutely freaked out in excitement. I did not understand her joy until the place opened and I got to enjoy a Bahama Bucks Tigers Blood snocone. On our first visit (opening weekend) the place was absolutely packed with quite a large line. I was a little turned off at how long the line was until I saw how efficiently the staff was working and how quickly we got our treats.
The snocone is unlike any other I have had. The ice is almost creamy and you dont need to crunch on the ice from the snocone. They make sure plenty of syrup is poured over the ice so that you do not get down to the end of your dessert and are only crunching on unflavored ice.
My only turn off is how pricey it is. We ordered three small snocones and was shocked it was over $ 10.

Best location ive been to. Friendly staff. Quick and delicious. I go multiple times a week and they never disappoint. It is always busy. yet the line moves quickly and all the employees are happy and upbeat so the wait is enjoyable.

Super delicious. So many flavors! The shaved ice is really fine, like actual snow.
They make sodas too, like in the snow one flavors. That’s pretty awesome. They also make milkshakes and other ice cream treats.
Gives my favorite Bedford Balls a run for its money, but it’s no where near the same location. I will definitely go back! It’s everything you want in a snow cone, for sure.
The also have a drive thru! Which is something you probably shouldn’t know. Lol.

Finally a Bahama Bucks in the Arlington/​Grand Prairie area!
I love sno-​cones and as far as flavors you won’t find more than Bahama Bucks. My current favorite is Lime with crème. It it so good it has moved me away from my standard blue coconut and pineapple. The sno just melts in your mouth and their syrups are the absolute best I’ve had so far.
Location is not to bad you just need remember if you are coming west on Lamar from 360 turn left on Ballpark Way or you will have to drive down for a bit and turn around of your heading east on Lamar from Collins your good. This is the perfect spot for walking traffic from Hurricane Harbor but it’s about to close soon for the season.
This location has lots of seating, way more than the 7^th Street location in FTW and they are planning a drive thru as soon as approve but as of 8÷10÷15 it’s just being used to order and walk up which can save you some line time inside. Not much else to say it’s Sno-​cones that are great. I only give them 4 stars because of price, they are pricey and this will keep me out of Bahama Bucks on a daily basis, but once a week I will probably stop by.

It’s open! No longer have to drive to Dallas or Southlake for the best sno-​cone ever! My favorite is the Orange Cruiser – shaved orange ice and vanilla ice cream. But the menu is extensive and you need to try the Funky Monkey and others!
