I had a good experience at the store last night. They weren’t crowded but I didn’t feel hounded by sales people. The salesperson explained the specials and the differences between the product offerings. She was friendly and professional. and I got what I needed and got out. I hope everyone has such a great experience at that shop. BE is quality cosmetics and once you use it, it pretty much sells itself.

Ive been here twice now and both times I felt as if i was bothering the sales people(i was the only customer both times). And BOTH times they matched me to the wrong shade! I went into Ulta the next day and the non bare esentuals person helped me find the right shade. The most recent visit he just looked at my skin and assumed i needed the lightest shade. The product i was purchasing was thw complexion rescue which is somewhat translucent. I left the mall looking like i had sunscreen not rubbed in on my face. I endwd uo buying 3 shades darker from Ulta and it looks perfect! You would think bare escentuals would be experts on their own products… WRONG! They really need to take more time training their staff. I will never go again although i continue to weir bare minerals makeup.

I’ve been to this Bare Escentuals location on quite a few occasions and have always found the staff helpful and willing to answer questions. I’ve had two of them do my makeup for me as the colors I was using for my eye primer were discontinued and I was trying to find new alternatives to match the discontinued colors as closely as possible. I also had them help me find a new lipstick color and I was happy with their suggestions. I always find the staff to be approachable and they understand that you don’t want to walk out of the store looking like a clown, unlike some other makeup stores. I use the whole line of BareMinerals makeup from my foundation to my eye shadow and everything in between. It is nice being able to go into the store and see the products in person and even test some of the colors out on my skin before committing to purchasing them.

Liz A. is really generous in talking about the attitude of this store. HOWDOESITSTAYINBUSINESS? OK, I agree the products are good. Get them at Sephora! Sephora people are happy to help you; they give you free samples! At this place, the employees act like third rate movie stars — snotty and disrespectful. I tried different foundations which he seemed reluctant to help with — like I was a huge bother to him — and he didn’t even make sure that the stripes of different foundation colors was wiped off my face before I left. They have NOIDEAOFWHATCUSTOMERSERIVCE means!

I have always purchased my Bare Minerals at this location and have had good experiences. A few weeks ago, I placed my business card in the«Win a Girlfriend Party» bowl and to my surprise, actually won. I received a phone call and set up my appointment. This is what I was told«You and a few friends can come in, we will have a separate area for you, and you can have your makeup done while your friends copy the artist and do the makeup on themselves» This was completely opposite of what I received. I walked in and told the artist I was here for the girlfriend party, she looked at me like I had 5 heads, walked away to help other customers and then finally told me to sit but they didn’t have enough chairs for my friend so she had to stand. Needless to say, I was already turned off, but continued to wait for her to come back and actually do my makeup. She returned to put primer on my face and then tell me to wait while she helped other customers. After 10 minutes of waiting, my friend and I decided to leave. I did not want to be disrespectful by walking out, however, we had seen a client, without an appointment, come in and sit down with a newly available artist and have 100% of the artist’s attention. That is why we decided to walk out. I received a phone call from Kim on my way home from Pentagon City to apologize. This was very thoughtful and I appreciate the gesture very much. She told me to come back in and have my makeup done and she will set aside time for me. However, if you make an appointment, you should have someone set aside for them, ESPECIALLY because it was a promotional party THECOMPANY organized. The high volume of visitors was to blame for the lack of attention spent on my makeup. If i just walked in, that would be fine. I would have understandstood. Overall, Kim was VERY helpful and thoughtful to call me and apologize. I will come back in to get my makeup done, well, because I like Bare Minerals. I just wish a little more common sense was used when if you have an appointment, you should have someone set aside for me then, not tell me to come back after the fact and someone can help me when walk-ins were being help with undivided attention.
